Please share the link, how to create Power point layout..
It's really nice ❤, I learn
Great video, I follow all your instructions they are clear and informative. You mentioned that you have made the finished workbook available, but I cannot find it.
You can find a download link in the video description.
@@FinexSkillsHub I have found the files but not the finished BI dashboard
Awesome stuff very detail and informative, Did you make similar video of Balance sheet, Please share the Video Link and if no, please do one.
Working on it.
I shared your video link with my friends and they loved your stuff . All my friends are Desperately waiting for BS Video. I want to be the first to watch our, Thanking you in advance
Thank you for posting this - it is very helpful. If I would like to learn more about getting the data from QBO to the same / similar spreadsheet that you have, where could I find that info ? I appreciate your help.
Thanks for the feedback. No resource comes to mind now but we will consider this in a subsequent video.
Im too new for power bi, can you help if in place of different year, i have same year, that is there is actual and budget for 2023 in single file, then what can be done
Can the layout be further formatted? indent line, bold/ capital font? can I use years instead of "current" and "previoys" for comoarison? do you have the same for statement of cash flows? thank you!
Great tutorial. As you said Finance cost should be negative but when I am putting Finance cost in card its coming positive and Net income befor tax is EBIT - Finance cost but since in our measure finance cost is already postitive and using EBIT + Finance cost is adding up . Please correct me if I am wrong
Hi Thanks for this educative video, I encounter an issue at previous year data, the numbers are not popping up.
You can send file
Fantastic. Please how do I download the demo file? Thanks and God bless
how could i open the *.pbiviz file ?
How Can I correct that?
Thanks for the video
Can you please share the OKViz Sparkline file?
It's included in the items in the download link. (under the video description)
Hello - this might be a complicated question but I would appreciate it a lot if you could help me. I followed your instruction and for some reasons, my Gross Profit and Net Income do not show up in my P&L. My Gross Profit was calculated by Income - COGS and Net Income was calculated by GP - Expenses.
Thank you for your time,
One question regarding how to create a calendar. Can we just use reference instead of using the number formular? It appears to be much easier. Any downside?
There are several ways to create the Calendar Table. Whatever method you choose, you need to ensure that all dates are present in a daily sequence starting from the earliest transaction date to the latest. Secondly, the list of dates should update when the source data changes. If referencing will satisfy these requirements, then yes.
Gross Profit dont appear after i made measure Current !
Please check again. Sometimes a spelling error or a misplaced character can cause that.
Hi, how can I open the resource file? it has an extension .pbiviz that cannot be opened by PowerBi Desktop
.pbiviz files are imported custom visuals. They cannot be opened directly. Please refer to 50:38 in the video to see how it was used.
why when iam trying to open this sample .. its give me error and i cant open it
Hi I want to learn one to one from you.. please advise how to proceed.. thanka

Nice content, really good explanation, But the power bi dashboard cannot be opened, Could you please reupload it?
The Power Bi file we shared in the folder was the custom visual for the sparkline. That file won't open directly. Rather it is imported into the Power BI report to create the visual.
The power bi desktop file has a pbiviz extention, which is not recognised. Can you export this file again please to the standard pbix file , as Im struggling to get this wonderful demo to work for me locally. TIA
the pbiviz file is to be loaded into the custom visuals section later in the video so that you can access it. With pbiviz files, you do not open them directly on your computer, otherwise you will get the feedback that it is not recognized. Please try it again.
Hi ,When I try to input the Current to matrix Field,it's showing an error to " DAX comparison operations do not support comparing values of type text. Try using the VALUE or FORMAT function to convert one of the values."
Please check if you have the right Data type in the column.
@@FinexSkillsHub Hi, thanks for replying. I tried every possible way. But it's not working. Anyway, Is there any way I can get PowerBI training from you people especially on making Income statement. And I wish to have two way commucating classes to clarify by doubts.
Thanks
Aleena
Same error I am also facing, can you please tell me how you solved error
@@sureshnaidu5669 Very subtle differences in the data type can cause this. Please review for leading or trailing spaces in your labels.,
could you have balance statement and cash flow dash boards . If you have could you send me the excel data source please...
Working on it.
for me 'current' and 'previous' are coming out to be exactly same, please help with this.
Please,
it is very important!!!!!!
Hi, i have try the way u teach but i encounter a problem in the layout. I have created a Gross Profit Measure ,EBIT, and it worked but fail to show in the matrix table.
Please check the measure or you can copy the text and share here
@@FinexSkillsHub Current =

Cost of Goods Sold -60366
Gross Profit
Expenses -90244
EBIT
Finance Costs 13274
Net Income before Tax
Tax -3024
Net Income
as u can see the figure is empty
I encountered the same issue, too. This newly calculated measures work well for COGS, Net Profit, and Gross Profit. But it fails on my matrix table. I have checked my layout name, also my code a few times
@@nicolehong3658 Did you get that solved out. I have the same issue
Please mention the data source? Which companies transactions are these?
It's dummy data for teaching purposes.
Hi, please how can I get my company's general ledger data to Power BI to create this type of report. We use Zoho Books and Sage Business Cloud Account. If I want to use Excel, what report do I need to generate to create this type of report. Thanks
U need General TB with Db Cr Entries
Amazing!
But I can't understand why you formulate
Net Income = [Net Income before Tax ] + [ Tax ]
I knew it is minus.
The signs for the expense lines were switched to make the calculations consistent.
哈哈,
Could you please reply to me?
