Ben, watching this again!! You were so excited!! Your happiness never gets old!!! Thanks for the smiles... again 😊
If I lived there I would never buy anything new. Looks like I could furnish my whole house in 1 day with all the good stuff they set out.
O Ben, thanks for being a friend to Mark, you may make a scrapper out of him but if not his friendship is life saving. Great video as always and it would be fun to see you scrap all that in your series making it #3. Someday you might make it back to your garage😀
LOL, I can't watch!!! The stuff you leave behind kills me!!!! I know why you leave it but my brain can not deal with it. lol
I undestund you
Same
I 1000% agree!! Is everyone in Melbourne so wealthy that they just toss good stuff? Crazy!
The way you put things in the truck is bad man
crappy multimeter?! that was a FLUKE! they are top of the range!!! 😳😳😳
great to see you mark! hope we get to see you more! ben... how bout the two of ya do scrapping together? get down your scrapping piles! lol
excellent vid btw 😊
or rye-t
I've found that life is about having unique experiences. doing the same thing over and over will drive ya nuts. Ben, you had a good haul of ewaste, had a unique experience with someone else riding shotgun and from the post he put up, you lended an ear to someone in need. A complete win of a day.
Ben is getting all posh, being chauffeured around for street scrapping! *lol
I want to say a big thanks to Ben.
Hope I didn't slow you down too much mate. Driving round my area can be a serious h!#dFu#k in those narrow streets 😉
To All,
I went through a pretty big breakdown and serious life changing events that put me in a pretty dark place with no family or close friends around me. Too common for us older guys!
Was told by my doctor to get out of the house and have some fun. DON'T sit at Home.
After a moments thought and a flyer about my councils Hard Rubbish collection, thought I do know someone.
I think I just about filled the old Merc on a previous encounter from my own junk, and being invited down to Ben's place last year, thought I'd reach out.
The sparkling personality and sense of humour must have made a lasting impression 😜
Viewers of this missed a lot of the conversation in the van (probably good 😉) but really fun and totally what I needed,.so thanks.
If there's a next time I'm bringing a pushbike, my phone and Vintage Stereo equipment will be on the hit list (if it ever stops freakin raining here).
To all you folks out there feeling down and bruised, there's always someone you can talk to, doesn't have to be Beyond Blue, Lifeline etc, just someone, anyone who'll listen and actually better if they're outside your inner circle.
thanks again mate and all the best to all.
Mark
Hey you left your hoodie in the van, i'll drop it off on the way up next week
@@eWasteBen no stress bud, whatever timing works.
Cheers.
ps Should be a set of Mechanics gloves in one of the pockets. If they fit you then keep em. Good barrier between you and all that metal you handle. ;)
you did ace mark! maybe ben could make you a regular?! how bout it ben? maybe you could both team up and clear that ton of stuff in bens yard?! 😊
i can see it now... ben, mark and scrapper chuck all scrapping at once 😊😂
I really enjoy watching Ben and
With you along it was even better❤️
My brothers name is Mark so I like
You already😊🌞🙏🏻🇺🇸
@@geoffupton I'm up for heading down and diving into that shed ;)
Just watched your video and what luck you have finding all those PC 's and the pile of circuit boards and cables ! You were right to bring your mate with you , he brought you good luck ! Another great video !
29:38 "Crappy multi-meter..." [drops Fluke back in the box] hahaha
I'm well known for the things I leave behind :) It was water logged so it was crappy to me.
Cringed for sure lol
That was a good moment haha
I'm sure Ben is overwhelmed with stuff...that being said I would have taken it apart and given it a good 91% iso alcohol bath let dry overnight and hoped for the best.
Why rescue a $200 multimeter when you can scrap 65 motherboards for $3 each?
Thanks to your inspiration I grabbed a free Dell off the street and fired it up, erased the personal crappola and sold it. Thanks mate. From Texas! K
Glad to see you scrap with someone intrested in scrapping too.
Oh boy, when you found that pile of pcbs you sounded like a golddigger! Thanks a lot!
Once again you have folks pre-scrapping their stuff for you and leaving it in piles on the street! Awesome
Solid day! Wow.....you have very well trained folks putting out trash....they do half the work for you! Amazing!
There’s something that’s addictive seeing you scrapping 😁😂 nice haul
Damn, you really hit the motherlode with that one stop.
MASSIVE FINDS - WOW !!!!
Wow people really hate cord cutters.
lol, if I don't get them the next guy will, it's just rubbish going in the truck next day so we take what we want
inside the old cash register is all BRASS :
Greetings eWaste Ben. Now that pile of pc's was amazing. Just 4 u yippee. I'm glad u have a driver 2day. B safe,healthy &blessed
I agree with you, Ben that pile of boards looked very bizarre. It didn't look like a pile of broken parts from a repair shop but rather like somebody was collecting all kinds of electronics and then went berserk on them.
Maybe the wife got tired of looking at them and threw them out
@@judybeckner5623 ...And took a screwdriver to them before she threw all that away? Yeah, I don't think so.
Just kidding 😁
I love that I found your video. I live in guatemala and you can´t really do that since it is a poor country people just don´t throw away their sutff. I used to live in Toronto and there was so much on the streets i ended up decorating my whole apartament and it looked amazing. My uncle used to live in new your and he decorated his apartament also with streetfinds and ended up wining an award for best decorated apartment.
here in Ohio, im just a 13 year old kid. Im not aloud to bike around town for scrap picking. You have it made over there man. Keep it up!
this guy is so so so so so so so so so so so lucky.
Amazed how much stuff was in that electronics pile. I pulled about half as much as you out of that same pile on Saturday and looks like they went back and added more.
Location was another scrapper that might have passed on and family looked at the collection and tossed it all
I'm always sad when your videos come to an end. Thank you for taking Mark out, sounds like it did him some good. Can't wait for the next video. All the best, Poo
Logitech , braun , sony powered subwoofer, sony home theater , lots of lcd led tv speakers. This video was very interesting.
PCEEEEEEEEEEEeWasteBen! :-D Ya had me rollin', mate! Such joy you convey! Good on you!
That is allot of pc's. I am lucky to have two in as many weeks as I started scrapping. Love it that there are no garbage cans.
Whats the point of the cord bucket again? 🤣🤣
looks professional
Thanks, another great watch!
I'm sure plenty of us would happily drive Ben around on a street scrap - always looks like fun! (Also, ooft - should have grabbed that Fluke DMM!)
Over here in the U.S. its the opposite. Youll herdly ever find e waste like this. Everyone goes for the steel, aluminum, copper scrap though. Thats usually what the main focus is here. Not sure why theres a lack of ewaste being tossed over here lol
thanks for another great video love the street scrapping
You've had some GREAT ewaste hauls this year!!!
Have a GREAT Day!!!
Your a bloke after my own heart mate.I try to pick off copper when I see it and process it at the moment I’m trying to save up enough to scrap by Christmas so I can get a motor and battery etc for my bike as I don’t drive it will help me find work easier by having an electric bike.
Why you cutting the cables?
Don't some people take and use those electronics?
in USA it takes one year to collect all pc and other stuff you collect in 48 minutes.
да у вас там просто рай для разборщика и афинажника
If I ever go to Australia, I’d look you up and help scrap for a day! Drive around, pick up stuff, sort, take apart, whatever, and have a good time.
Hey ben u doing a great job but what you do of this scrap after collecting these
I've never seen anything like this in my life here in the States! People just leaving trash especially PC's on the streets? What in the hell? Wish I had that here. Do the trash companies actually pick that shit up and that's why they leave it out there? Here in the States it MUST BE IN A BIN with the lid shut for them to take it... Can I also ask why you cut and take the power cords? Do they contain gold as well?
Great Video Ben 9 PC's and mountain of circuit boards good job Dude 👍👍
hey ben cheers for the shoutout, the subwoofer was actually a 10inch lol but thanks for remembering me brother
What a laid back dude your mate is.
Ok Ben, You should advertise a scrappers vacation to Australia. I would scrap for fun and knowledge !
Hey from USA🌺🇺🇸
So you put a bin in the van for cords... and then end up throwing everything BUT cords in it. Interesting.
there is no method to my madness
You are so lucky!!!!!!!!! to be finding '
All pc/motherboards but that has to come to an end as only so many pc's can be updated in a certain time and it seems like your whole neighbourhood updated their pc's at the same time.
So I think you should broaden your horizons . You have to run dry shortly.l
Wish it was like this in California. It's actually illegal to dismantle ewaste or appliances unless you're a certified processor. Scam collection is a thing, and passes under the radar. People set up temp collection points in retail business parking lots.
The next guy comes along and sees something he wants but oh no someone cut the cord off gutted
Why didn’t you ise the blac crate for all those boards? What a find
I'm new to this all but what do you do with all this circuitry related stuff how do you make money from that stuff I'm lost ?
He's just hording CRAP! :-)
The circuitry on them. If they're still in decent condition, scrap yards will resell them to big companies for reuse. Because of the bio things on those, bio labs take them apart and rework them back into society.
Does the garbage truck pick the stuff up that people leave in front of their homes? I live in Canada, if we did that we would get fined for illegal dumping.
Great video
Get yourself a big rubber maid tote for those situations of electronic board overdose.
Question, can I putt vga Internet usb and hdmi cables in 1 bin with coper wire?
Yes, here we have to cut off the plug ends but otherwise it's mid grade insulated wire, like power cords
eWaste Ben Thanks Ben!
Do Where when you scrap at your backyard dont talk and just do it faster plz thanks ben
Hello. what do you do with all those electronic stuff ?
That was fun to watch thumbs up
funny... at first i thought you had a manikin sitting in your truck. until i saw it was driving. i think he should have helped you by picking up all those free circuit boards.
I love doing the same thing as you! Going around and street scrapping. I just don't have a vehicle. Otherwise, I would work from home and go nutz looking for stuff. If I lived in Aussie, I'd love to go w/ you and get some scrap! 💙💙💙
great pace with your mate, you need a wheel barrow! lol. For real Ben there has been more than once where you could have used a small wheel barrow maybe mounted to a rack on the back of the van.
👍nice you got out with your mate,he may have brought you luck you ended up with a good load for the day👍
I picked up that Apple as well however I didn't check it out until I returned home. Now left with a scrapped Apple. Surprised at the weight of the outer skin.
yeah they are heavy empty, you can always use it to fill up with screws and junk and send to the scrap yard as pressing steel.
They're getting collectable too so maybe someone might buy the empty case
How many work many of the ones I find do work or near minor repair
Another awsome video keep em coming i really enjoy your channel
That was a heck of a good run
The computer is worth keeping (the one covered in black plastic), useful spec.
could be worth 80 bucks to you.
8:05 I feel someone is a fan of yours Ben and left you a little gift.
Nice haul!! The huge pile was awesome. But there was so much altogether! PCs everywhere!
Not just any DVR that’s a TiVo!!! I tossed a bunch of those series 2 about 3yrs ago in favor of a Roamio 3TB and some Minis.
Why you dont take the fan and TVs?
Really nice score on this run brother! Keep up to good work!
That's a sony pascal subwoofer with 6.5 inch speaker and it came with a 5.1 home theater system and it was one of the highest models sony made when it came out. It's about 20 years old but probably still in perfect working condition. Once when I was in Netherlands I could buy the whole 5.1 setup for 17 euros but I didn't know much about speakers back then :(
You could take it for parts because there's a really nice board inside aswell with a big transformer and give the rest (enclosure and speaker) to some kid or for somene who collects speakers like me.
Ben you did have a good Day
Have you told Mark since you've scored so big today, he MUST come on every scrap hunting trip till the end of time?
Congratulations on the nice stuff, that's a heap of electronics!! I hope you had a fun day with your mate too!
Next time you get a pile of low grade boards or any specific item in bulk it might be fun to put in short before and after shots of (in this case) the low grade bin and the cup of nice bits of copper that you managed to pull off. I understand that you might not have finished the whole load in one go, so it wouldn't work, but I wanted to leave it as a suggestion. Looking forward to your next video! :D
Bravos super!
Hi Ben look like good gold there 👍👍👍👍
why are there so many pcs thrown out like that? i don't think i've ever thrown away a pc, i always resell it when i'm done with it.
that's wild
Why did you not take the vintage cash register🤷🏻♂️?
Pioneer CD Carousel Jukebox players are worth reselling even the broken ones fetch for a bit. @ 21:59
You snipped the cords off an antique 😐 that cash register is worth more then you'll make in months scrapping cables
And plus he tosses it around on the ground
like it was nothing
Taylor it doesn’t matter you don’t throw beautiful pieces around like that
@Taylor
Scrapping IS reselling.
*face palm*
@Taylor
Gotcha. You mean ad selling. LOL.
When you're scrapping though, you don't want to be a horder. Antiques pile high and not everybody will BUY IT. I have the same problem he does. We don't have time to ad sell things. Why? You could be sitting for YEARS w/out payment. When you scrap for NOW MONEY, because you need it. You don't have time for that and in the long run it does you no good.
@@gothicangel6313I’d rather wait a year for decent money than instant chump change.
Today i will called it motherboard day
So what u do with this ? And why the cords ??
Great video Ben, terrific score
If you take a big plastic box to every heap then fill it, tip in van.
Time saver.
Great job
Nice day. This was also a great video, not a short one. I'm still waiting for that crazy steel scrap maraton:)) make it for an 8h video :D
could be a cool idea to put a clock in the van so we can see what time it is and how long you have driven to get to the next good pile? just an idea. cheers boss
hello in what country and in which city are you shooting
I can't believe you just leave all those remote controls behind. I make a ton of money on eBay with remotes, but I guess you gotta draw the line somewhere, otherwise you would need 5 storage units and you don't wanna be that guy. :)
hi Ben. was just curious where you sell all your boards?
Its a little irritating with the cord cuttng but they could easily leave a sign asking the scrappers to leave the re-usable electronics. Someone went through the effort to wrap and label a PC for it to be pulled apart
Hey from Canada
Why did you not use the tub to save yourself a lot of walking?
I am surprised at just how much electronics people throw away on the street in Oz. It is so wasteful. In the UK that would be a car boot sale.
great video and good challenge, lucky fox
