They've already released 3 performance videos and 2 dance practice videos for OMG, so it's pretty easy to watch just the performance without being distracted by the story of the MV. The choreo rivals Hype Boy for me in terms of watchability; it's freaking adorable!

We are living in a crazy world right now where we can be anything what we wanted to be. New Jeans only show us in their MV that many young kids like them are suffering from mental health problem. They are living in the illussions because they cannot handle the reality.

thats the first mv ive seen of them... and although i still think their group name stops more people from trying to listen to them than it makes people curious,.. like it was for me,... it was an awesome mv... although i feel i need to go thourgh a guide or have to watch their previous mvs to get the meaning
Why would their name stop anyone from listening? Not trying to be rude, just found that statement odd. Its not an example I've seen before of a barrier to entry on a group/artist... Kpop has always had odd named groups from the start. If anyone is actively avoiding NJ I doubt it's cause of their name but rather average age of the girls or maybe the company CEO/Label or even just the genre. As for following the lore/storyline, pretty sure this one only goes back one song to Ditto, but there are references to their Title Track trilogy which was very much straightforward. Whereas Ditto and OMG seem to be abstract/open-ended representations of the Fan and Idol relationship. Other random theories but that seems to be the commonly accepted one.
@@artist_37 its nothing personal against their skill but, some people i know and myself , thought you cant take someone seriously if they call themselves "Jeans" best case they mean Jeans, worst case its a very bad pun...and with the massive choices available in kpop its easy to skip a group. you cant listen to all of them anyway. so a name could easily become the "skip" reason

Their name is a pun on New Genes, as in new generation. This is the start of 5th Gen kpop. Their name certainly didn't put me off at all, and given their huge success and popularity I think you're in the minority if it did put you off. OMG is awesome and I love how they are playing with the MV genre and what you can do with it. Every song so far has been superb.
They’re the most popular girl group out right now. They’ve broken like every 4th gen sales record in just 6 months And their name is New Jeans not just Jeans lol

hmm.. iPhone and idols indeed has many similarities, as a 'product' that we looks up to, and like how Hanni describing herself in the mv, etc. lol
