absolutely stunning! Im an american that lived in the UK for 7yrs and was amazed how easy it was to grow such beautiful flowers. Everything I planted in my garden would take off beautifully. I had to move back to the states and wanted a english garden to remind me of england and it was so hard to grow such lovely flowers in midwest where I am from. The summers are very hot and requires so much work to keep flowers alive let alone flourishing. Your garden is brilliant! xx

+Teresa Palmer Hi. I saw your comment, & wondered if you had also seen the other vid. an English Garden on Texas Soil | Central Texas Gardener ?

no i havent but I will look for it. When I had to come back to america to care for my mother who has since past away, I brought back lots of flower seeds from England, many that are not common here, to plant in my mothers Garden. she was very much the green thumb and unfortunately I am not as good as she was, but it took me a lot of effort and hard work to keep everything a live..lol My mothers neighbors had never seen foxglove or cosmos and were very fascinated with them among others i had grown from seed.

I'm David's wife, but use his name you get some funny people on here, me included!! I'm surprised you were able to take seeds into the States, you aren't allowed anything in Oz...What a lovely idea, for your mum. I'm no good as a gardener, but love looking round them over here, I found the most beautiful one, to me, but it's in Denmark! That's on RUclips,. It's a whole year, but you can recognise the Danish words for which month...Now I want to watch it again! Hope you have more success....

Hello Davids wife. :) Yes I brought back about 25 packs of seeds I bought in the shops in England and was happy to see them still in my suitcase when I got stateside. After my mother past away I moved to a lovely town here a short drive from where my mother lived, that a wealthy Englishwoman contracted and built in the 1920s to remind her of England. Its lovely here and if you didn't know better you would think you were in England. The town is now on the historical society so it has been persevered. I have a lovely 2 story row house built in 1921 with a small but lovely garden and hope this summer to fill it with flowers. You can walk everywhere here and there is a lovely town center with shops and several parks and it will have to be my little England till someday I can return across the pond.xx

Oh, how lovely.-My name is Maggie, I live with my partner in Suffolk, in a little village called Rougham. Well 2 miles away across the fields is Rougham, proper. In front of this house is a magnificent oak tree, & last year, it was measured round the girth, that dates it...it went off the 800yr.old scale! Almost Spring, but more cold weather to come. Shame, because the flowers were blooming in Jan! Especially on the roundabouts. Snowdrops in the woods a stones throw from here, & crocuses, primulas, all colours. David has bought some packets of mixed wild flowers for our back garden. It's so sad we don't have the bees so much. World wide problem. Across from us, is Polish Pete, who's grown those lovely old fashioned perfumed roses...I go for walks & the lavender bushes round here, nearly everyone has them. So i walk with my nose twitching (lucky i don't get hay fever.) Just love it...Whereabouts will you come back to?. . . , .

I love this "little" yard packed with flowers and vines. I too would dearly love to learn how to have a garden edge that crisp! I have a garden tour this coming June and it would be awesome to have that look! I've tried, and failed. :( I knew the fuchias, begonias, spanish flag and of course the petunias and some others. Can anyone tell me what the white flowers along the back of the borders area?

    Old English Garden Tour :
    ruclips.net/video/CrcdGn9elOM/видео.html
One Garden Center, Recycles wooden flats from colorscaping, covers
w/ fine chicken wire/ sphagnum moss and plants out one side with
    annuals-houseplants, hooks up to drip
irrigation. Colorscaping would affix to the wooden flats and grow and spill out
over the flat, trailing between 24”-36”. Remind me of today world of Living Wall Garden landscapes. Yesteryears,
planted out flats would sell between $100-$250 per flat. My favorites: Nemesia, staghorn ferns,
trailing dichondra, impatiens, tuber begonias, dwarf coleus, caladiums.
Finished flats were perfect for small entryways, courtyard and patios.
Many fine home gardens are on the May Garden Tour: HeardsGardenTour.com
