Hi there! I live in Southern NJ, Zone 7a, and I just wanted to introduce everyone to some planting options for a smaller city property. I love English style cottage gardens. We get tons of rain and extreme humidity. I hope this will inspire people to go for it, even if you have space restrictions as we do. As you see I use a lot of Proven Winners plants. They did not pay for this, or even request me to make this video.

Beautiful! This looks really good right now and in a year or so when it fills out, it will be spectacular! I didn't see any of laura's plants here. I watch her avidly...just some proven winners plants. but not many of what laura grows.

See, this is exactly why I'm about to paint my fence white .. this looks amazing against your beautiful garden. This is my first year gardening but I'm very excited and hopeful. Planted a bunch of glad bulbs and hopefully some tulips soon n then my NXT plan is a hydrangea n a nice tree with pink blossoms. Wish me luck!!! Thanx for showing your beautiful outdoor home ! @@evanhodgson3104 everything came up beautiful. My only mistake was not planting my bulbs deep enough but other than that everything came up!! Very happy and proud 😀, thank you for asking
Sorry I meant Erin 🤗 i made the same mistake with my bulbs. I planted them with a bit sticking out the top of the soil. They flowed too early and died sooner.😭 Deeper next year.
This is not small!! This is huge and absolutely gorgeous, so beautiful , very well coordinated and tastefully arranged - you are just making me feel that despite all my efforts this year, my garden doesn’t look anything like yours !

Beautiful containers! This summer heat is stunting my container roses! But I'm in Texas! Any tips for for taking care of roses in containers? Yours are gorgeous!
Put diapers midway in the pot to help retain water. And fertilizer to help the roses.

All the plants are beautiful and healthy. The problem is this garden is FULL OF STORE-BOUGHT EXPENSIVE PLANTERS and TRELLISES! Not possible for a low-budget home. Thanks anyways.

The only complaint I have is that, even though the garden owner has been kind enough to show us the tags, it’s impossible to read what type of plant it is. The color or “name” of the plant (ie Golden Rush,etc) is not helpful. Beautiful garden.

Absolutely gorgeous! Such a wonderful plant selection with varied heights, texture, and color. Love it! You have a beautiful and relaxing spot to spend time with family, friends, or just by yourself. I think it is great that even though you have the play set for the kiddos you still made sure your space reflects you and your love of gardening. I am trying to figure out what time of trees you have growing within the long flower bed down from your shed. looks like there are 3 or 4 of them standing taller than the rest of your flowers/shrubs.

Looks like someone's been busy this year:) Was that a Bloomerang Lilac in the background just after the Fruit Punch Dianthus? I have a two year old one which although quite healthy only delivers a halfway decent flush of spring blooms and so far only very minimal reblooming. I'm hoping for better when it gets older. Were those Proven Winners birds I heard chirping in the background, LOL j/k. I love Garden Answer too, even though my gardening style is quite different. Everything looks great now, and should REALLY be looking good as things mature.

I love the garden that you've created, you've made a small space seem very large and inviting. I think the hay rack planters are awesome, can you do a video on attaching the hay racks to your home. I can't figure out how you would do that without the hay racks damaging the exterior of your home. What an awesome job you've done with your landscaping.

StahbucksLovah Thank you! I love them and only wish I bought more! Even better they are a mix of of terra cotta and other fibers to make stronger and more weather proof. Anyway, sorry, to say, they were bought from Home Depot last year and now they don’t carry them. 😥

It may be small but it's really BIG in beauty. I like how you include the plant name tags as well and the fact that you don't speak or keep showing your face. Sometimes, depending on the content of the video that 'facetime' can be overwhelming. I love to hear the natural sounds of nature instead of music and or talking. Is more soothing.
