even until now, 5 years later, this anime still receive a lot of attention
I find it surprising honestly. Even though I loved it and I'd consider it my top 3 favorite shows, it seemed to get a lot of hate back then, and still does. Don't know how it's still relevant lol

What are your thoughts on light Novels? Do you consider them worth a read?
I personally haven’t finished the light novel. But as everyone who has finished it, everyone said the end sucked. The ending wasn’t sad in particular but it just sucked. Right when the anime stops and the light novel continues, that’s where the story is still enjoyable but at the start of volume 7.5 it starts to get boring to read. And that’s where I’m now.
If you should read it? Sure, if you want to know the end then no one will stop you.
If you don’t like beautiful anime to get a shit ending, then don’t

This anime is my favourite of all time..
It's not the best anime out there, it's not the greatest romcom anime in existance, but for me, its my all time favourite.
It just, this anime speaks to me in a whole new level. Seeing how sorata surrounded by "genius but weird" people, i know that fkin feeling.
And damn their friendship is something that i really wants.
somehow i feel the same way. the story is not particularly exciting or gripping, but for some reason it speaks to me like no other. i really loved the art style and the character dynamics. i loved all the characters, and they had a great synergy. wonderful show.

I really want nanami to end up with sorata like in the light novel,but in anime sorata end up with mashiro i think

I love nanami too, but unfortunately in the novel sorata ended up with mashiro , its obvious it will be mashiro, even though I love nanami.

Nahh...in LN..sorata and mashiro had there first night(you know what im talking about right?)
I am sure you must have found out by now: the novel (vol 10, ch5 + vol. 10.5, ch4) end with Sorata being with Mashiro, while the anime intentionally leaves it open as the vol6 of the novel stands.
Vol 10, ch5: On the day of Sorata's university graduation, Sorata and co go back to Sakurasou for the last gathering, as Sakurasou has became worn out and vacant for 2 years. There, under the Sakura tree at the back garden of Sakurasou, Sorata finally meets Mashiro once again 4 years after their breaking up, and confesses to Mashiro that he loves her even more than he did 4 years ago. They decide to get back together, but then only realise that everyone - who by now is laughing so badly - is setting them up to meet again. They take a picture together, and that's the end. I also have a feeling that Nanami finally move on from Sorata, which she wasn't the case in Vol 10, ch4, when she was in her second year university.
Vol 10.5 ch4: On another Christmas eve, 18 months after getting back together, both Sorata and Mashiro needed to work. But the author implies that they finally got mature enough to handle both work and relationship.
