I know on the replay it shows that odd spin, but if you go back and look at the original recording the bomb landed true, and exploded in the tunnel. So i guess the question is the reality of what you witness playing not what actually happens at the server and the replay what was sent to the server or was it the other way around and then the hit didn't register on your end?

Yeah, the replay messed up. He dropped the bomb normally, what happened is he dropped it at such a flat trajectory it flew over the T-34 and Su-122 and detonated well behind them. Sucks, at least the bomb didn’t actually spin off randomly like the replay said it did...
@@martinboniotti423 Exactly, in a recent match a 75mm jumbo penetrated my panther UFP with APCR at almost 500m when i was in a cliff, i could not believe it when it happened... he fired two shots at me, the first killed my gunner, commander and destroyed my engine the second killed the rest of my crew. Remember this is APCR from a 75mm jumbo being fired at my UFP from almost 500m while i was in a cliff above him...

The bomb didn't actually do that its just a replay bug, the reason it didn't kill any tanks is pretty common in my experience, its just explodes and does nothing even if dropped right on top.

@J Wilt To be honest, I am a tank main, and have been bombed a number of times. Never felt they should be nerfed (if anything, that they should be buffed due to the bugger-all damage they do half the time). If you get bombed, it's your bad luck that some dude decided to nuke you from orbit. _Shrug_

Not only do they waste their time and effort only to get you but are able to have a guarantee one shoot to the point many are confident to just die just to get you. Like i hate that they nerf bombs and planes but when they affect the whole 3rd of the fucken game by making giving many just very easy kills for very little effort especially when the whole game relies on people getting anti air just to be able to play the game like fuck getting new tanks fuck trying to fight in said new tanks lets have people be force to have to use anti air because the enemy just fucks over everyone and changes the whole game because its hard to hit for many newer plays and just epic seal clubbing for older players.

Before they were op as hell bjt where needed to destroy the maus now with all the different tanks artillery is just an annoyance that has no skill. Just a point and click simulator. Now planes have skill but in movement. Killing anything in planes if it be ships,tanks other planes whatever is the easiest shit a plane can do
So fuck off and stop acting like you know everything when you clearly are so selfish that you forget planes have so much power that ruins gameplay and have bombs that are over powered as shit. With bombs that can flip tanks over on the other side of buildings like they are toys and one shot vehicles that are 100s of feet away taking out 6 tanks in one go
If people are clumped up next to each other and stay that way they deserve to all be one shotted for not being spaced. But if a tank on the other side of an indistuctable building gets damaged and possibly flipped over and messes up then thats when shit just gets stupid. Hell it mad the maus,t95, e100 all the slow tanks just feel useless if a guy has a plane with bombs. Mainly the maus especially at the shit br its at. Like yes the people complained themselves in a corner but dont be so fucken blind and ignore all the problems planes cause and how fucken boring,frustrating and just game ruining they can be

I'm mediocre at best, I have my days, but in general I fuck something up and then go on a losing streak maybe 50% of the time, usually get killed by something that should have been obvious to me as well.

@@mr_confuse depends on how much of the wing tip is missing. And depending on where the hole is in the wing, it could potentially slightly increase the lipht in that area iph it is enough to act like a tiny phlap slowing down the air under the wing

The PHW-190 PH8 was a ground strike version intended to replace the Ju 87, with extra armor and stronger structural elements compared to a regular PHW-190. That makes it heavier and less maneuverable then the phighter version.
Notice how Phly had a kill on "notphly".

this bomb bug reminded me of another bug in the game.
When you play the Raketenjagdpanzer 1 on the map "American Desert", the Rockets you shoot disappear. When I played it the first time on American Desert, i thought the bushes made my rockets explode before reaching the target. Then I watched the replay and litterally all of my rockets i shot (7 or so) disappeared into thin air... I mean it was kinda funny watching the rockets disappear in the replay, but it was tilting me when i was playing it in the game.
This FW-190 has given me reason to believe that a swallow could possibly carry a coconut, thank you for proving that Monty Python enigma to be true.

Reasonably sure this thing has been around since the beginning. Still one of my favourite aircraft.
Suggest using universal or stealth belts for the 20mm, as the German AP-I penetrates more than the APHE. You'll still butcher light vehicles with ease, and generally have less trouble with aircraft.
F-8 is also the only German aircraft able to take Panzerblitz rockets - HEAT warheads with something like 180mm of penetration from memory.
They have a negligible impact on your flight performance.
For the tunnel run i think the wake turbulence or the shock wave from the Su-122's shell made the bomb tumble. Like how sometimes you can make a plane stall by flying past it very close.
Shooting down another fighter in a dog fight? Nah

I like the F-8 - with it's air spawn you got the jump on altitude climbing to go after bombers with no load - and the 20mm's are plenty to do the job in a head on.

The reason for the F-8 not turning that well is it's fighter-bomber dedication. It carries extra armour against ground fire.
BTW the tunnel run is a clear case of expectations being too high. Dude, just flying through that tunnel is great, and actually the bomb spinning off is quite hilarious and very, very unusual. I was truly astonished and entertained! Don't take it too hard. :D

In my mind the F-8 is the perfect fighter. Amazing speed, decent turn with some really strong flaps. It doesn't really compress at high speeds.

I'd like to see you use the BF 110 G-2 37mm cannon to kill tanks in tank RB and use the Wfr.Gr.21 rockets with the Rocket Activation Distance set to 1000m to shoot down a plane. All in one battle.
The BF 110 G-2 at 3.7 also has a 1000kg bomb, along with a 250kg bomb, 20mm cannon x2, 30mm canon x2. It's even fun at upper tier (especially heli hunting). Awesome fun plane.

War Thunder runs at a solid 30-35 FPS in air battles on my Microsoft Surface from 2018, albeit at ULQ.
You can get a gtx 1660 and ryzen 5 2600 and 16gb of ddr4 at 3000hz for 612 euros at Megekko.. That's what I'm gonna get next week (that includes all the other stuff aswell btw, ik hoop dat je dr snel eentje krijgt ;))
actually WT works great even on low level hardware. Untill 2017 I played it on hardware from 2008 (Geforce 8800 :D) and it was absolutely fine.

Bombs are broken again Phly, try for example 1000lb bombs on P47, like half of them lands under ground and does nothing
I use that plane in fleet, and I have noticed if you land that 1000 pounder onto a boat deck it is truly random if destroys the boat, but drop it in the water and it detonates upwards and has almost 100% kill, but also noticed kill feeds of other bombs directional blast being all wonky also.

at 14:00 we have a Great look at the physics. A tank shell created such a big shock wave that it threw a bomb around. A 30mm round has that as well if youre in 2 MEter proximity of the glight path youre dead because of the shockwave it pulls behind it

Clearly the vortex created by the 122mm round ripping through spacetime caused an atmospheric disruption that resulted in a vectoric deviation in the bomb's trajectory and shift in center of gravity resulting in uncontrollable lateral spinage.

Phly about the bomb spinning away. Remember you got damaged when you left the tunnel so it definitely went into the tunnel. BUT, I think the visual bomb vs the actual bomb went different directions. Just a guess since I've seen tank shells visually take a different path than the actual shell. But I think your bomb went into the tunnel but one of the objects saved them from the blast

Hi phly please could you play the phantom fgr. Cause my dad used to be an engineer on them in the royal air force in the 1970's 80's.
When the bomb was released - you can see this in slow motion replay - it was released right next to a water tower right before the tunnel. I believe the bomb nicked the tower as it was dropped and that’s what caused it to spin, which limited it’s forward travel. After flying through the tunnel and looking back it looks like the bomb exploded part way down the tunnel, but I think this was just a mistake or kind of an illusion of how the explosion appeared - meaning it blew before the tunnel entrance but the explosion fire/smoke effects overlapped for some distance. Of course my computer knowledge is newb level at best. I wouldn’t even qualify to play in a DeVry commercial.😀
