- Please visit twuphysics.org for videos and supplemental material by topic. These physics lesson videos include lectures, physics demonstrations, and problem-solving.
Ms. Twu's AP Physics B / AP Physics 1 and 2 lesson videos are designed for students who have never had physics before. These videos are also used for "flipped classroom" teaching at Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
Her AP Physics C lesson videos are designed for students who are at least taking pre-calculus concurrently.
Thankyou. I struggled learning this. Now i understand
YOU ARE FANTASTIC!!! YOU MADE THIS SIMPLE BY A SIX MINUTES VIDEO
Physics is fascinating : )
That sounds great! 99% of my AP Physics B students are 11th graders too. This way, if they wish to, they can take the calculus-based AP Physics C in their senior year.
Wow. This makes so much sense now! Thank you so much!
Thank you for making the topic more clear for me
Perfect explanation for the concept behind it. My professor's lecture slides failed to explain it in such detail!
Very structured way of explaining the CONCEPT.... Love from INDIA😇😇😇
You made my day, you make it very simple only in 6 minutes thanks a lot
I'm taking this class next year as a Senior. Seems fascinating!
This was an excellent easy to follow explanation of a good physics question. Really enjoyed her explanation!
I have an exam in 1 hour. I'm pretty sure this question will come up. You just saved my life, thank you!
Thanks! You helped me study for my physics final!
Thanks so so much I really happy 😊
Thank you! This was very helpful for my exam today
thank you so much! this got me prepared for my exam! :D
Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank u so much !may god bless u 😍😍😍
thanks ms.yau jong twu
MAM! U ARE GREAT!! THANKS A LOT!!!
Thank you, just realized the terms cancel each other out.
can you please tell me how to find the volume of u-tube
Is Atmospheric pressure still gonna be considered equal at both sides if the 1.8 cm becomes much higher?
Does cross sectional areas affect in pressure
If the u tube is not uniform in cross section can’t we apply d1h1=d2h2 for two points at equal height in same liquid.(at the common interface) (d means density)
you are just wenderful
uni que en français density=densité haha ,et la densité =(la masse volumique du liquide )/(la masse volumique du l'eau ) pour les liquides et pour les gazs la densité =(la masse volumique du gaz)/(la masse volumique du l'air )

that was really helpful :)
thnx a lot.... :)
question, should the density used be 1 g/cm3 if we are using the cm for height? or is it ok to use kg/m3 and cm for height?? im a little confused on that concept.
Since we have ρgh = ρgh, as long as the 2 ρ's have the same unit and the 2 h's have the same unit, everything is fine. So both the density can be in g/cm3 while both the depth are in meters.
how can we solve a problem like this when only volumes of liquids are given and not the heights
You won't be able to unless the cross-sectional areas are also known because knowing volume and cross-sectional area will allow you to find the height (V = h A). Or if you know the cross-sectional area are the same on both sides, then the height would be proportional to volume. Another thing is that you will have to know the volumes above points 1 and 2.
But the cross sectional area get cancells right
Question: will water be pushed even more if more oil is added?
Yes, if more oil is added to the right side, the water will get pushed to more to the left side. Because the pressures on both sides have to equal, so if the h of the oil increases, the h on the water side has to increase too.
Not flunking physics this time...thanks alot. And just curious, at which grade do students learn fluid mechanics and hydrostatics\hydrodynamics? I don't live in a foreign country but i'm studying this at 11th grade!
We used to offer it to 11th graders too. However, for some reason, the school does not offer it any more.
I Don't get it
