You know what’s interesting this could be considered part of Jango’s final revenge against the death watch. In legends Jango Fett’s family were murdered by the death watch, he was then taken in by Jester Mareel and trained to become a mandalorian. Where he fought in the mandalorian civil war against the death watch. He would eventually become the leader of the true mandalorians. Resulting in the galadrand massacre, where interestingly enough is where Dooku met Jango. After the battle Jango would be captured and put into a labor camp where he would eventually escape with slave 1. He would then hunt the leader of the death watch and kill him. The point of this long winded explanation is that this scene could be interpreted as Jango’s final revenge against the Death Watch. 3 problems I have with this set: 1. The helmet holes are just not a good look and need to either be only used for figures that are going to have accessories or the helmet as a whole needs to be redesigned. 2. The build being a swamp speeder is quite possibly one of the worst vehicles they could have chosen for this set. Considering that the box art depicts that they are at the Siege of Mandalore, I would expect that they would choose a vehicle better suited for the occasion. After rewatching the scenes showcasing the siege, they only really use AT TEs. 3. The inclusion of Captain Vaughn completely defeats the point of a battle pack. He should have been replaced with a regular 332nd trooper. Before anyone says anything, yes he could be used as a regular 332nd trooper if you take of the visor, but then you have a random trooper with a badge. Even if people want to argue that you can do that, then what's the point of even including him in the first place? We could have gotten him in a different set and he could've be more detailed and distinct than the other clones in his battalion. Sorry for the long comment, but to answer your question: Yes. You got ripped off.
I just got the set today. I actually don’t mind the helmet holes as much as I thought I would. The box art render makes it look worse than in person. The 212th troopers look much worse because the print is awful. I agree that Vaughn shouldn’t be there, he would’ve been better in the tank set in 2020, but at least it’s not as bad as the Jedi clones battle pack. I don’t think the vehicle really matters because no one’s buying the set for that anyway and none of the vehicles in the siege would work in that scale, I’d rather have something unique than another speeder
