I tried a similar leather holster like this and it was too hot and binding to wear all day and like you mentioned not great for cc. However, there are a few smaller, mesh ones that do work ok
This holster is a lot thicker than my galco shoulder holster and is a lot more noticeable under your arm. The galco doesn't accommodate my new hollowsun sight but this one does. I haven't decided yet if I'll keep it.
If you don't mind open carrying and fucking get over it and stop concealing like a little pussy ass bitch the holster is OK. It secures the gun in place which I normally don't get with a shoulder holster. However the handle sticks so fucking far out it just really pisses me off hard. Just go buy a vertical roto shoulder holster.
In your opinion , would this holster "work" in the following situation ? I am wearing sweatpants or gym shorts ( NO BELT ) and I have to make a trip to the store . I put on this shoulder holster and put an appropriate jacket / coat over it . Without attaching to a belt , will this holster be uncomfortable or move around too much just for a quick drive to the store or taking the dog for a walk around the block ? ( I am not talking all day wear but feel free to comment on that also )
I'd like a company to come out with a super minimalist shoulder rig with a vertical option for micro pistols. I know the advantage of a shoulder rig is being able to comfortably conceal a larger pistol, but I think it could go both ways and make a micro like a 365 xl dissappear under a jacket or button up.
Great quality video, but it's a little misleading... You can adjust the holster cant to where it sits vertically. Also, it depends on your body type, each person's body type will determine how well they conceal. If you have broad shoulders and wide lats, it may or may not work.
Will this work with cloak tuck 3.5? I carry a PX4 and the shape shifter 4.0 doesn't work with my pistol. I really like a good shoulder holster system. While I do have a concealed carry permit, in my state open carry is legal. Being able to choose between a good IWB holster and a (I just ordered the cloak tuck 3.5) good shoulder rig means I much more freedom to wear what I want in hot weather.
A shoulder holster is perfect for winter carry in cold weather. I would have zero interest in anything from Alien Gear but now they have some leather stuff, I'll have to give them a look. Plastic on a gun holster just doesn't do it for me
Seems to be the Shapeshift is made to run with the Shapeshift shells from AG, while the Cloak runs Cloak shells. The Cloak has a bigger selection of gun models to pick out of, and AG's site says it supports lights and lasers while the Shapeshift does not. It only seems to matter if you want to be able to swap out between firearm models or between holster types. If that's important to you, check to make sure the Shapeshift supports your model(s), or if the Cloak has them.
@@voodooroo556 yeah, the cloak seemed to be more customizable, I ordered one like a week ago but being hand made and all that with black Friday sales and Xmas, it's alittle slow.. but it's too be expected for small outfit with quality gear.

Good review. You hit allot of good points about real concealment. You really should have filmed this in a pastel pink jacket, white cotton pants, and penny loafers. Ya know, Miami Vice wear! I think its time for take #2! But I like the holster system. Especially for winter time wear or an evening out at the opera.
I didn’t know that printing constituted open carried. I thought the point of concealed carry was not that the gun was thought to be absent but rather the gun was just not physically visible.
what made me pass on the Alien Gear shoulder rig was how bulky it is & that’s pretty much it. Down to the straps those might be comfortable straps but they are huge next to a Slim Galco Miami classic 2 rig. It was robbed while I working once & trust me not once did it come down to how fast I could draw but rather how strategically, careful & patience I was to know when to make my move. those concern with drawing fast like it’s the wild west & somehow it’s gonna come down to a gun duel are only going to get someone hurt just have a gun on you is more than enough.
Thank you for telling the truth about this holster, it’s amazing how many video’s iv’e seen about this holster where people have it on and say it’s great for conceal carry, then put it on under a shirt or a jacket saying you can’t see it but yet you can see they have this giant bulge under their arm that Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles could see.

This shoulder holster is the most comfortable for me because I can drive, sit, and move easily without having to make adjustments. I have several holsters for my PX4.
