The Suzuki Vitara is a name that’s been around for many years, though the current model has morphed from a far more rough-and-ready off-roader into a far more fashionable compact crossover. It still retains a bit of that rugged character though, distancing itself from the rest of its class and lending it quite a bit of desirability with its eye-catching looks, a roomy interior, and a well-earned reputation for reliability and longevity and it also benefits from the new mild-hybrid 1.4 Boosterjet engine with a 48v system that cuts emissions of greenhouse gasses by an impressive 20%. Every little helps, after all. Not only will the planet benefit, but your bank balance should too because there’s also a 15% reduction in fuel consumption, plus a 4% reduction in BIK (benefit-in-kind) tax compared to the old non-hybrid 1.4-litre petrol engine which means the Vitara has plenty of feathers in its cap. With our unique ALLGRIP 4-wheel Drive system, you won’t be held back by limitations. With ALLGRIP, you can truly take control of the road. Adapt to any condition with a lightweight system that doesn’t compromise on performance or fuel consumption - whether it’s rain, snow or rough terrain. ALLGRIP Select is available on the Vitara, which allows you to choose your desired driving mode out of AUTO, SPORT, SNOW and LOCK.
And To top it all off this car is an SZ-5 so it truly sits proudly at the top of the Suzuki range it has some premium additional features such as a panoramic sunroof, which allows plenty of light into the cabin. Keyless entry and start so getting in and starting the car is made easy if you are carrying any shopping. Dual sensor brake support which is a fantastic safety feature. The prestigious SZ-5 Look is completed with 17” polished alloy wheels. So as you can see it is an extremely well-equipped car.

It’s a shame Suzuki hasn’t improved the look of the old interior, it’s not a new model if only the headlamps have been changed. My Vitara 1.0 is 2 years old and I love it but when I replace it within the next 2 years I don’t like to buy the same car again, I had a Fabia mk1 then bought a mk2 cause they looked different. The outside still looks great and the engine amazing but Suzuki have to wake up !.

The main differences are under the bonnet with this new Vitara. While the interior and exterior hasn't changed... and you're right, it's due a refresh, the move to a 48v mild hybrid is a big change for the Vitara. The CO2 emissions have dropped significantly and the increase in fuel economy is always a bonus.
