As some one else said You have helped me make my mind up Its only taken me 4 day's I also like Makita tools never ever have I had an issue with them but when it came to choosing a nail gun its like a mine field out there Its not my living so looked at the £30.00 jobs then the reviews Then I looked at the £150 jobs all seemed ok but did i want to spend £150 no I did not then I thought I wonder if Makita do one but their electri/bat versions are expensive Then I came across you and your review So thanks a bunch for helping me out I have just bought one exactly the same for £95 and its on its way " I hope" The nails/pins themselves are also an issue with all the sizes etc so once again thanks for including them in your speal .. All I can say is I am glad its rainning "always a posotive out of a negative" because you might have been out working L.O.L.......... Cheers fella much appreciated !!!
I bought it and i used it. It is not good! The brads stay out when the material is a little bit harder. And it will keep shooting when it is empty! It is not really clear but, is the brad at 9:48 minute on your video also sticking out of the wood? Is this why you checked the pressure? By using the same tacker when the pressure is 6 bar the brads definitely stick out. Then the comressor starts but even when the pressure is higher sometimes the brads again stick out. This tacker, i think, is better to use with soft material. And i am afraid that, after two days using it, means that i can not send it back.
Great video, I'm going to buy the gun. I think your definition of 1st fix is off, 1st fix usually refers to the more cumbersome stuff like stud work etc using more heavy nails like 16g.
Hay mate great review 👍 could you please help me out I've just got my self one but I having a nightmare working out what hose is needed and air socket / fittings the gun has im totally new air tools please help it would be much appreciated James, I bought 1/4 euro style hose but it flaps about and leaked ....great content 👌
Hi mate. You should have a nut already on each end of the hose. This can either be connected to a quick fit or you can tighten the nut directly to the bottom of the gun. If you are getting leaks you may need some ptfe tape.
@@danreviewsitall thanks dan for your help, much appreciated, 👍 the fittings side was OK , its was the miss match of plugs and sockets ,uni hi Flow to pcl plug ,I think 🤔 cheers mate 👍

a lot of people seem to have issues with this model fully sinking nails I own 2 one does really well the other not so much I'm about to return that newer one no matter what I do the nails will not sit flush dial maxed 120psi etc. a lot of people seem to say the same in Amazon and home depot etc reviews. i have the Metabo pro and it sinks anything but at a much higher cost and I don't like it much bigger and harder to get into tighter places then this one. the new senco's are junk now and I may try a newer Dewalt again even though I didn't like the last one I had. nothing made like it used to be these days
Bump setting... 1st fix would not be cabinets... 1st fix would use a nailer... Wouldn't you use 16g for fencing? Or do you use glue as well? Anything external I go up to 16g or nailer eg sheds. Cabinetry 18 or 23g... And 18g staplers... They are the best as they really draw things together
Hi Dan, I bought this gun with compressor for a batten fence but I am reading other forums that say 18g 50mm nails are not strong enough for batten fence and will ping off. your thoughts please.
This tool is for delicate interior work. Trim etc. To use it for anything even close to building a fence i simply stupid and not what it is made for. There are tools for that too, but they’re bigger…
@@joakimgranberg1366 not true. We have used it to hold handreds of battons up to date with no failure. I wouldn't use this nail gun to hold full panels to posts but it is absolutely fine for rail screens and feather edge fixing.

I would indeed. I fact I have used it for some skirting that came away from the wall that was originally drilled in. I pumped 10 brads in the and it is solid. I would say tho if that is what you do for a living there is better ones on the market for interior work.

Great review mate. My stanley one has been playing up for a little while and today I thought iv had enough of messing around with it and have spotted this one online and your review has confirmed it will be good for what I need it for. Thanks mate 👍
Yes I agree. I improved the light on my latest video the dewalt boots. Check it out and let me know if you think it has made a difference. Thanks for your comment.
Got 1st fix and 2nd fix the wrong way round here. Otherwise good review. First fix. Big, structural. Not the finished surface. 2nd fix. Smaller gauge nails, sunk/hidden.
Hi Jaz. You can use osmo cedar stain. It is design to restore cedar wood that has uv damage but when applied to sanded treated roof battons it gives them the cedar colour. Not quite as good as cedar it's self but a far cheaper alternative. Would this be suitable for nailing cladding to a shed? The cladding is 22mm thick?

Would this nail gun also be good for fixing skirting boards and architraves.?
Hi Thomas yes I have used it for that but the brads are quite small so I'm not sure how good it will be in comparison to some of the bigger guns.
