I definitely still get a little scared on the first corner turning into the road at the top but you definitely get a better sense of the corners and where you can speed up. So, to answer your question it gets easier but it doesn’t necessarily get less scary, hah!
The most dangerous part is the 90 degree turn after a steep stretch about halfway down, at the cross walk. Seen two wipeouts here. The paint on the crosswalk, when damp/wet, is slippery. I always avoid and go between the lines on the pavement.
So glad the audio is crystal clear! Commentary is almost as good as that soothing descent. Great vid.
On the hoods the whole way!!??
Yes, my best route too💗💗💗💗
I just did this for the first time and it scared the shit out of me
Will it get easier?

Geil!!
I hate that descent, but I’m on old school thin tires and rim brakes.
Your username seems fitting - that’s another way to go down Hawk Hill 🤙
Looks dangerous
I bombed down on Monday. Broke 6 vertebrae and 3 vertebrae compression fractures. Went down 37mph. Going a tad faster than usual.
N1ckN1ck100 ouch, sounds painful
@@NckNck-pu9vb how did the crash happen if you don’t mind me asking? Did you overcook a turn?
@@NckNck-pu9vb oh my, hope you’re well enough to jump on the saddle again
