I think the "...bold,...brave,...sit them down,... look them in the eyes" part of the answer was validated. It just goes out of hand to say, "you listen to me..." It helps when young people are bold to humbly communicate their feelings with their parents and their boundaries with their peers. That's theory anyway. From experience, I have learnt that praying to God (communicating our feelings with God) about our parents works all the time!
