Holly you are a superstar. Greetings from Canada. I don't think there is a Daddy on earth who loves his daughter more than yours does. And proud? Just a little. Lol.. good luck in Australia !!
I looked at the length of the vlog and went, oooh yay, long one! Then I looked at the actual time and realized I should really be asleep. It's 5:37am. Oops. Put a pin in this one, I really gotta sleep. Hope Australia is great and you're settling in! ❤
Hey gal. Never been this early to your videos. Miss you tonnes already!! Enjoy Australia hunni and make every moment count xx (but as a die hard fan of yours I hope these 6 months fly by)
Loaning Lola me too! It is the worst especially when you a riding a pony that has really bouncy strides ! The canter is always easier though for me. A normal trot feels so fast without stirrups! 😂
i love how supportive your dad is, its the most wholesome thing ever and so refreshing since all i usually hear is parents yelling at their kids at shows and being overall horrid, its so lovely how nice your dad is
Khal is a truly beautiful horse. His sand moving is mainly a desire to work in the construction industry. Did I mention I'm from Australia and I'm sure we could find you an equine vet job in Western Australia.
I just adore Khal so much! From truffle horse, to jump-off machine to perfect gentleman wanting to return the scratches and, of course, letting you lead the way to the stable. ;P I will miss seeing the boys but oh well. Have a wonderful time in Australia, enjoy not doing anything in quarantine (or is that no longer on?) and have a wonderful time in Australia, Holly!
it's lovely to see how much khal has learned since you started riding him!! what a lovely horse, you can really see how much he loves working and is always trying his best
Your dad is so funny when he say that khal is digging for truffles wouldn’t it be funny if he really did dig one up maybe the grainy ness of the footing mite itch his nose but at least you know he is really good at stretching and both boys and you did good and I think your dad thinks vets are just glorified chicken herders 😂 he will have to vlog updates on the horses so you and us get to see them and he can still give us a laugh have fun and work hard in Australia’s hope you enjoy your time and it helps with what you want to do
great video. just a suggestion, you should try keeping your seat and heels in line when riding without stirrups because then i'll be easier for you to connect with your seat bones and not bounce as much. Again i'm not a professional trainer but my trainer told me this and it really helped me.
Your horses have such a similar spirit to yourself, you have done such an amazing job raising very levelheaded and IMPRESSIVE boys. I can’t wait to see all the places you go in the future 🌸
G’day Holly, I have only just started watching your videos since you came to Australia. Can I just say, you are probably my favorite equestrian on RUclips now because of the way that you present your videos. I love how you explain things but also how you make sure that all of the natural sound effects can be heard in your videos. I cannot see at all! And one of my favorite things is listening to horses when people are riding them. I love how, in this video, I can hear all of your jumping and every hoofbeat. Please please please never change your style! Absolutely love it, looking forward to more.
I know people love Khal but I'm actually a Nr.1 Dali fan... Like he's so handsome, cute, careful but bouncy at the same time. I really really love the energy he has, like he has so much scope!! It must feel so nice to jump him. And he's only 4!!! How do you got so confident in him specially? I broke my mare and start jumping her at a pretty young age, like you with your horses (pole work is amazing for young horses) but now she's 7 and I'm starting to jump again after quite a long time with no jumping and I don't feel confident. Nothing has ever happened, she did never stop or anything like that but when I jump and even when it's like 70cm only my heart races and I only jump like 2 times and that's it. I'd really like to test her scope because the biggest fence has been 90cm aprox. and a 70cm oxer, because right now it feels like she just lifts her legs but doesn't really jump and bounce like you're horses do.
@@pudupudu9837 I know they are pregnant and vibing in the field but I was wondering if they have scans or blood tests recently and the health of their unborn babies
Wow Holly you did very well there your leg work was brilliant , you’ve got a super seat. You looked a bit like Camilla Mortensen in your style today whom I know you watch her although I haven’t seen her on here for some time and she’s an excellent rider I miss her vlogs. Your dad is well funny and hope he’s in the vlogs when your in Aussie enjoying been a vet. If you don’t like it there you can always be a chicken herder 😂😂😂😂😂 great vlog tfs.😎
I think she said 40x60. Check the vlog with Meg. I believe that's where she said it. It might even be bigger than that and I can't remember exactly, I do remember that there used to be a paddock by the old 20×40 arena and Holly said they just extended the arena all the way down bc they never used the paddock. That was probably not as helpful as I meant it to be 😝
Khal properly aced the jumping on the diagonal/jump off turns 👌🏼 is the last video we’ll see you riding the boys until next year or do you have a few more pre recorded videos to upload ?
Hey your lower leg looks so good! I’m just mentioning since you said you wanted to work on it!! Have fun in Australia (ya ik your already there). Khal looks like my kind of ride on this day 😂 I ride in the US (west coast) and most people here have pretty perfect legs so it took me a while when I was at the lower levels but now I don’t even have to think about it.
When you do your no stirrups, try to keep your feet under your bum and it will help your position over the fences! Like you are at 7:19 (Not to be rude, I just know you are working on that at the moment) 😄
Khal did amazing!!! Well done Holly!! Great job practicing the roll backs for the jump of with him. Hope you had a very Safe trip to Australia. From Ontario, Canada, Jenn.

I was really struggling to pick a career path but thanks to your dad... Im gonna be a chicken herder or do equine dancing
Hahaha two great career options I must admit!
Your dad is seriously funny!!! He needs to do updates for you while you are away, don't think I can go six months without him 😆😆😆
Haha I’ll try and get him to do something for RUclips!
Holly Lenahan yessss
Yes you need your dad to do the videos he should do a Voice over of you riding and put it on RUclips so funny
Holly Lenahan please do
That lovely chainsaw background music 😌
Ah yes, so relaxing, would send you right to sleep 😌
hahahah listening to this with headphones is killer (i went slightly insane)
"she ends up being a chicken herder" 😂
A good back up if veterinary ever falls through 😉
I would be okay with your dad giving a David Attenborough style commentary on your videos ngl
That would be absolutely hilarious! Awesome, awesome idea!
Omg that would be such a funny video, I’ll see if I can convince him to voiceover a video 👀
Oh my god yes, I'm laughing at the thought already 😂😂
Haha I love your dads commentary 😂😂 “is he sniffing out truffles?” “and smiling” hahahaha

Warming up without stirrups works like a charm to get that lower leg to stay where it's supposed to.
It sure does! It activates the muscles in your legs apparently!
I’m so proud holly! Watch out for those spiders 🙉💕
If you can train Khal to sniff out truffles, you can both retire and live the life of Riley!!
Hahaha now there’s some motivation to teach him 😂
i love these videos 🥰🥰
