In this clip Alvin Guinanao, Chief Instructor of Silat Open Circle - Presents "Introduction to SBL Seminar". Recorded live in Gorgonzola, Italy hosted by Simone Rizzo of Wolf Team JKD.
In this small clip Chief Instructor Alvin Guinanao teaches the core principles of Silat Buka Lingkaran (S.B.L.) expressed in ground fighting. This include drills to help manoeuvre comfortably on the ground, techniques if taken to the ground and how to bring opponent to the ground.
You can now come and experience Silat Open Circle in person at one of Alvin's SBL seminar. Seminars are open to the public, martial artist of all levels, both male and female.

came to silat from jkd mixed,including grappling andkickboxing,thought I had it all,then silat taught me so much,a real education-didn't know there were so many locks,a master style,here we see the use of satria fighting system found in a lot of Sumatran and some javan styles
the purpose of silat system is not to knock your opponent down as fast as possible, but to kill your opponent as fast as possible in a very unmatched combat situation using various empty handed or weaponry techniques as your mechanism to defend your self.
that's why we'll see a lot of ferocious moves in silat videos.
