    Awesome! Everything you say and have done Chris is what martial art is supposed to be. The "Black Eye" of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is that it has attracted and provided a platform for individuals who don't really need Jiu-Jitsu! So many regular people are intimidated and lose out on the chance to learn.

    I like his demeanor, I feel like he will be a spearhead in jiu-jitsu, in Preserving the jiu-jitsu for self defense

    Got the privilege to roll with Chris when he was at a conference at our Gym. I have a purple belt and 50 pounds on him and I could make zero progress towards anything meaningful. I then drove him across town and dropped him off solo at a restaurant he wanted to try and he said I’ll make it from here. To add color based on his dark answers in the interview, “The restaurant” was a horror movie themed food truck in a gravel parking lot with a lifesize Jason standing outside. Cool dude with insane knowledge that he can apply.

      Even though jiujitsu was formed for self defense, I see it as a mental training! I love sport jiujitsu and no gi. I hate self defense bjj. Most of it doesn’t work.

      @@carreromartialarts what he said about base and distance management helps immensely in any fight situation as does the confidence aspect. a big part of our training and belt promotion is having someone with gloves attack, that helps as well.

    Kron Gracie showed a great display of Gracie jiu jitsu in his recent fight. He survived which seems to be the biggest underlying message I believe.

    • @MaynIdea
      @MaynIdea  Год назад +1

      That was a hard fight to watch. I hope Kron comes back with a menacing gameplan and puts his striking on display next time.

      Kron was useless in his last 2 fights,surviving isnt the goal of a professional fighter.

      Well he is pretty much rickson in a different body and hes not that well known. One of our better BB trains with him regularly and he said he makes him feel like a white belt. The guys really legit and probably had his butt get kicked repeatedly back in the day, maybe its just toughness and not anger.
