thanks for sharing ur work and journey through ur vlogs and clips. You should have so many views and shares and stuff for all the effort and valuable info but guess thats not how society works. its a sad spiral , but i wish you luck through this comment and for someone in pain but learning and almost following or avoiding the obstacles while managing chronic pain , juggling work and juggling relationships , i thank you again
My uncle had one. He’s never been the same since. On permanent disability. Cannot stand or sit for extended durations. It warms my heart that the guy is still a sweetheart even though he’s in pain, frequently. I pray that the good Lord Jesus Christ heals you Coach and that your pain is reduced or eliminated. Best regards.
Wow this is absolutely horrific!! I'm so sorry you went through that! For those who want to avoid things like this: It's so helpful to have someone with you when you are in the hospital. They can get up to find staff, raise hell, and advocate for you. Everyone needs to find their inner Karen and ask to speak to the higher ups. If that doesn't work, use your hospital phone to call the hospital and tell them what is going on. Ask for a social worker or patient advocate. Also, in most states, it is legal to record audio without telling anyone, as long as the device is on your person (in a pocket or on your lap or hand is fine)... and casually say something like "I've already called my attorney". I've dealt with some hellish situations with hospitals myself... but not this bad 💔 I'm so glad you're ok now!
I had a very similar experience with some of the staff when I have my spinal fusion, my back had to be broken in a few places because it had self fused , you are spot on Adam the pain is very bad and the last thing you need is a staff member that is a pig to you ,telling your story has so much in common with mine, best of luck Adam prayers to all
I don’t recommend university of Pennsylvania either!!! I deal with pain everyday! I’m 58 unable to work anymore. Whole life is basically gone, I hope you’re doing okay, not dealing with too much pain. Thank you for this video,
I am two years out of l4 l5 fusion. It was and has been horrific.I have severe nerve damage.I will never forget that pain in the hospital, I was in for 5 weeks!
March 2024 had cervical spinal fusion, severe herniated disks. Etc….. only about 10 percent better if that, surgery was brutal afterwards very painful. Had surgery at university of Pennsylvania too Dr. Welch did mine, he is a good surgeon. Post surgical pain was bad for me and I’m on oxycodone anyway daily!!! I’m getting an epidural next week so tired of lumbar pain L 4 L5 s1 . I’m not going g to get lumbar surgery now that you’re saying this! I agree nursing staff at penn are horrible! Nurse took my bottle of oxycodone put it in the pharmacy he said, so I don’t double dip! He was a total moron! Not nice or pleasant, well Dr Welch tried sending my home the day of surgery! How do you like that bs! I only spent one night there! So yes the university of Pennsylvania isn’t that great! The parking sucks!!! You really weren’t treating right! That’s awful you had no pain pills! How fkn awful!!!!! I have my own wheelchair ♿️ thank god I had one!!! They don’t care!!!! Er especially sucks!!!
I'm going to have to have this surgery soon, was wondering about your mobility after? Are you able to walk long distances? Bend over? Just trying to get alot of info thanks!
@Healing2gether: That was terrible. I had L4 and L5 fusion and had to learn to walk again, it took 3 days, I was there 1 week. MRI this Monday everything below is bone on bone. I can only walk with a cane 25 ft and have to sit down the pain is so bad. I'm scared to death to have more surgery. I'm hearing nightmares about fusions below c1, permanent damage to nerves, bladder or bowels along with no pain relief.
Sorry it didn’t work out for you. My husband had fusion at same level at age 29 but I guess he got lucky because he is 51 now still pain free. I have degenerative L4-S1 and 3 doctors have suggested surgery but im not sure what to do. I can’t sit without pain
This is nothing new allegheny general hospital treated me the exact same way like I wasn't shit I had my l2 l3 l4 done and the nursing g staff was 80/20 and 80% bad was a nightmare
Adam, Were you still taking kratom before your surgery? I need knee surgery and I'm afraid of going through withdrawals during my hospital stay. How did you cope and get through this?
Love the channel. I had this surgery 2 weeks ago and I am also documenting my recovery journey week by week on my channel if yall want to know my opinion 👍

If you had it to do over, would you get the cervical fusion?

Most staff in hospital are jackasses. No one is monitoring .
Might be getting a disc replacement soon, or hybrid fusion/disc replacement. IS there anything you can no longer do after the surgery?
I have a TLIF L5S1 surgery 18 months ago pain is there till date sometimes very bad sometimes manageable....its a mess

Most of the videos I seen about fusion it's been horror stories and most say it was a mistake
