Virtual condition is always the worst case condition regardless of hole or pin size. How can that be? An infiniately large hole should have a larger VC than a 1" hole. Please explain. Thx
This explains well, but I have a question. Lets say there is a pipe Diameter 177.8 / diameter 152.8, on the outer diameter it says roundness 3 MMC to A (center axis) and internal diameter says roundness 4 MMC to A. How do I approach this? Do I add the 3 to the external diameter and subtract the 4 from the internal one? (all dimensions in mm)
An outer boundary is a worst case boundary generated by the largest FOS plus the stated geometric tolerance. Similarly, an inner boundary is a worst case boundary generated by the smallest FOS minus the stated geometric tolerance. Here, 177.8 plus 3 is the outer boundary and 152.8 minus 4 is the inner boundary. So the part can fluctuate between these two extreme boundary conditions. I'm not that sure about this..just gave a try!
no one vieo on youtube explains it better then this video
best explaination i've seen yet. thank you.
