FAQ's
How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these RUclips videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using www.backpackin...
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

Cofu Old Town looks great wonderful Christie!!! 💖 Looking forward seeing your med sailors trip!!!
Thanks SeaN!
It took you long time to come back to Greece!! Can't wait for the rest of the series!
I was on the same tour in Corfu just a week after you, it was so good! Excited to go on another medsailors tour in the future.
Oh awesome! Gutted we just missed each other 🥲
I was in Corfu two months ago and stayed in Benitses. Highly recommend staying in that area. I loved Corfu.
Lovely!
Your pronunciation of greek is actually quite good I'm impressed!
Thanks 😎
O my god, I heard Dutch people at the table with the pastitdada :D I heard them say 'is she vlogging all of this' hahahah Love that!
🤣🤣🤣
Was in Rhodes last week. First time in Greece and loved it.
I’d love to visit Rhodes one day!
Loved this..always wanted to visit Greece.
I loved the island...
I'm jealous! Looks like a whole lotta fun. I'm looking forward to seeing this series for sure. That one street view reminded me of Sorrento, another beautiful town.
Oohh cool, I’ve never visited sorrento!
This video came just in time!! Currently in Sarande after finishing my Albania backpacking trip & heading to Corfu soon for a day (and then fly to Athens) Thanks for the all tips 🤩🤩
Ahh awesome! Enjoy 😍😍
Take a day trip to Paxos/Antipaxos from Corfu! its the most amazing blue waters youll ever see! have fun
Stay tuned for next vid 😉
Looks like fun having someone along with you!
It’s always a great time with Karen 🥰👯♀️
Corfu looks lovely! I need to get some golden jewellery too, it looks so nice and I've been a silver girl for years haha, would be nice with a change 🙈 George seemed like a cool guy, so nice of him to give you a ride! ☺
Yaaas golden jewellery in the summer is a ✨vibe✨
Love Corfu..
The old town is a beautiful place
How cute you two girls are! By the way the dance called "Hasapikos", Sirtaki is the faster version and more difficult...
Ooh thanks for clarifying haha! 😊
Welcome to our beautiful island, Enjoy!
Thank you 🥰🥰
Ha, love that you ended up “accidentally hitchhiking” and didn’t even have to be embarrassed to stick out your thumb. 😅👍
I have enjoyed viewing your videos of Albania. You are quite genuine as well as lovely, and project this adorable energy on all your videos. I wonder if you would consider visiting Pogradec, Albania. The town is located in border with N Macedonia and it hosts lake Ohrid, one of the most unique lakes in Europe 🌍. Greetings
Awesome video Christianne 😊👍👍
Thanks Haxter ❤️❤️
Oh my gosh sooo cute apartment!! You have to send me the link!
Great info about Corfu, I wanna definitely go in September. Love your videos!
If you get a chance take a trip to Saranda it's only 15 mins on the speed boat and about 30 euro for a return. That and the boat trip to Paxos were the highlights of my recent trip to Corfu.
i was there two weeks ago, it’s the prettiest place ever i love it there ❤️❤️
So nice hey 😍
Love the channel! You should do a video ranking your favourite countries and also possibly least favourite!!!
love the channel
Loving your blog I managed the Albania mt treat fantastic
Beautiful and can’t wait for the next video 💜
Thanks Jazz ❤️❤️
that's my cruise ship in the port!!!!!!!
You need to go visit sidari it's north around an hour from corfu Town, it's a lovely little town once there go and say hello to Sophia at evivas and try there fruit waffles and try one of her husbands "vas" cocktails. And go and visit canal'd amor beautiful place.
For dinner I would recommend restaurant 50/50 for there beef stefado, its around 2 minutes down from evivas
Thanks for the recs! I feel like you need to make a vlog of this whole little tour 😍
Holy cow, that apartment was expensive. Whilst I knew Albania wasn't as expensive as Greece, I didn't realise Greece was THAT pricey! Loved George at the end - getting locals tips for best places to go is amazing, but also getting the lift when it looked like you guys were in a bit of a pickle! 🙌 Winning!
The prices sure were a shock to us after Albania! To be fair, had we stayed more in the countryside of Corfu, it would have been much cheaper but staying in the Old Town is very spenny indeed!
Everything in Greece is super expensive, I remember a gyro cost 6 times more than Saranda.
I don’t think it’s worth it at all. Same beach.
Greece is not that expensive at least to Greek People , otherwise they wouldn't survive in their own country .Why are all you tourists thronging to the center of towns ? Hang on more in suburban areas where life is much cheaper
@@fatmirmatoshi4491 the extremely touristy cities and islands are expensive to Greek people
Greece is a very fashionable destination today, so it is getting much dearer than ever before. Unfortunatelly, war does not help keeping the prices in bay. On the other hand, it is high season now, that means higher demand for accomodations. If you don't have money , you can go to the south part of the island, where are cheaper apartments, and hotels. There is a Lildl supermarket to buy cheaper food. Corfu is a really great destionation , in my opinion
I've been to corfu I went to ipsos and sidari
Nice ☺️
07:40 There's like 10k British people living in Corfu, so everything is a mix between Italian (formal Venetian colony), British and Greek culture.
100K British? 100k is more or less the totalpopulation of the island right now. More likely around 10k of various expat nationalities.
@@gerrytran I apologize, you are correct! 🤗 There are 10k British people alone (how many other migrants...I couldn't say, but it's a strong British community owning various businesses or being retired, whatever the case).
2:07 Kitty! 🐱
Corfu looks beautiful...I'd never be able to pick up a word of Greek though 😂
Plus you've got me craving pasta at 8:30am in the morning...and oh my god Percy Pig is so good
Percy pigs are good no matter where you are in the world 😅
i love how at dinner with the dutch people when you're showing your food you can hear the man ask 'is she vlogging all of this?' (Vlogt ze dit allemaal?)
Hi. I love, love your content, the smiles -- you inspire me! Could you tell me what camera you are using at 4:31? Is it a GoPro? I have that DJI pocket and love it for the stabilizer ability, but you are holding it, so it can't be that camera. Much Mahalo in advance.
Omg I met you!!
Since Gyros is not a Hellenic thing (fast food thing that is) AT ALL, there is not anything Hellenic "thing" about it. :D
What foods one can try out though, when in Corfu specifically, is pastitsada, sofrito, tsigareli etc - which of course you already saw apparently later on in the video. XD
I'm one of your fans and I'm spoiled for your experience I have a RUclips channel and in a few days I'm going to take a trip around the world
That’s awesome, good luck with the trip ❤️
Thanks
@@BackpackingBananas thanks
Corfu', Republic of Venice
Love these videos, went to Greece for the first time June! Didn't go to Corfu though, spent time in Athens, Ios, and Santorini. Question about SIM cards: I'm planning to go to Italy for a longer period of time than I've stayed abroad before and I know getting a local SIM card is the cheapest option. I was just wondering what happens with my monthly service through my normal provider. Do I need to contact them so I don't need to pay my usual phone bill?
Hi, I love watching your videos and planning my first solo a 3 week Thailand trip in 2023. I have a question about lay overs and whether its worth booking with the same airlines or different as i'm not sure if when I wait for my next flight do I need to collect my bags and re-check in and go through security e.c.t?
Pick a flight which is connecting (same airline), then your bags will be sent all the way through!
Hi there, I will be in Saranda in mid October and I would really appreciate if you could tell me if you booked this Ferry ride in advance or it’s one of these rides that they have everyday. Also I hope you don’t mind if I ask you to share which company you used. Thank you so much In advance
Penny 🥰
all this is is a shopping trip!
Efkaristo is thank you
Thought so 🙌🏼
