    Thanks for the video. When you pulled that intake manifold off did you have a clear shot for removal of the breather box that the PCV valve goes into?

      @GlassWerx  Год назад +1

      O yeah. There's plenty of room once the intake and the intake bracket are Removed. I failed to add the info about the bracket bc @ the time I forgot about it bc I didn't have it on my car but yes once intake is off there is plenty of room. You may be able to just take the intake bracket off and get to the pcv valve from the bottom but may be a really tight fit and easier to go from the top and remove the intake when it's all said and done. That bottom middle intake bolt is a pain to get back on tho so be prepared for that.

      @@GlassWerx Thanks for your response. Half of my PCV valve is stuck in breather box. It snapped when l tried to remove it and it's a stubborn cus and won't pop out so I'll likely have to yank the intake manifold because it's so tight down there not enough room to get a good grip or leverage to pull it out. It really sucks but hey that's life sometimes right? Thanks again for the video

    Too many trees where you park? Mine is just exactly like your engine by looking. P6FD1.

      Got an azalea tree right next to car and big oak not far off. Cars sat a while getting work here n there done as weather permits. Car went from running y7 to doing y8 head swap. Had it running with older model wiring and ecu which didn't work with cabin Harness in mine so pulled intake and put new wiring harness in while everything was apart as well as new ecu

    Anyone else have issue after removing 7 bolts. Seems like something else is holding it in place. It comes loose but feels like there's a bracket somewhere. For my d16z6

    • @GlassWerx
      @GlassWerx  3 года назад +1

      Usually there is a bracket on the bottom of the manifold. I don't have it bc mine was a mini me swap. My y7 had the bracket and the y8 I took the head and manifold off of originally had it as well. It had been a while since I removed it all I forgot all about that bracket. Sorry I didn't include that info. But it's 3 bolts I believe to get the bracket completely off. U can remove the bracket that attaches to block and u should be able to get the manifold off then if not u will have to get the others off as well. If I remember correctly I got mine off from underneath car to have a little more room to work. The hardest one for me to get off and on was the one in center of the manifold itself.

      @@GlassWerx yeah I got the center off once I removed fuel rail. I thought I was losing my mind since it wasn't coming off all the way. I'll tackle it tomorrow, no other guides mention the bracket wonder why everyone skips lol

    • @GlassWerx
      @GlassWerx  3 года назад +2

      @@bradygalbraith9006 honestly idk why I didn't think of it either. I'm sorry I left that info out. Yeah I pulled fuel rail to get it back on myself. Not sure why no one thinks to mention it. Seems like everyone who has a new manifold either has an after market or one got from salvage yard or someone else so they tend to not think about it either bc it's not right there attached to the manifold in from of their face. I had same issue. Matter of fact I was trying to figure out what u was missing bc I didn't have anything in the bracket holes then rembered it after the fact. Good luck with your car. Iv got lots of stuff on the channel check it all out. Maybe some other stuff of interest on here for ya. Or any ?s feel free to ask. I'll help best I can.
