My new gold design (emailed you) will suck out all that gold in that creek - without massive destruction and throwing of rocks and cobbles all over. And you know that it will work - fabulously !
Last Pan is the best Pan, makes you want to come back. 355 is my guess. Always when I run my Sluice I put heavy plastic (watersoftner salt bag) under it to keep the water from going underneath it. Sometimes i put a little dirt in the bag to make a bed for the Sluice to set in, works for me.
Buy 1/4 or 1/2 metal mesh, and a couple smaller than 5 gallon buckets. Lowes has 2 gallon buckets and HD has similar sized ones. Cut out all but the top 4-6 inches, and attach wire mesh. Just takes some drilled holes, mesh cut to size, and zip ties. Respond to this if you want a more detailed design.
Sometimes that tiny flood gold is at the top. It takes a few rains for the gold to filter back down deep after the bigger storms churn it all up. My theory anyway. Just a theory. Also, at 3:23 good thing you hadn't started running material yet or your gold would be GONE! Stupid leaves.
I gotta get up and get back out to the creek myself but everything hurts. I thought you had 5000 pieces in that pan. I told Jeff to take that damn down. I thought he did maybe somebody else was up in there after us. It’s perfect weather right now to be digging up there. If you weren’t so far away, I would invite you down to a gravel bar that has pretty decent gold for our area. Thanks for taking us all along on your adventure.
Wow! That looks like a great place to pheasant hunt. I can hear them calling me😊 Question, how come you don't classify your test pan? Wouldn't that give you a better example? Let's see, my guess would be 221. Though I got to admit, I was thinking, pheasant. 😊 Great video, Jason.
Great day on the creek bummer you went to deep been there done that more than once I was expecting this video on Friday for some reason….🤔 but Friday came and went so I thought ok Saturday…. But NOPE. So I gave up and missed it when it aired lol se la vie congrats to the winner and thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼 p.s. I counted 557….😂😂😂
Jason It's always nice to get out digging with a good buddy and have a couple of cobbles🍻 finding some nice gold at the same time . I'll have a guess at around 328 in total .
Hi Jason, wife and I love your shows. It's our first-year prospecting out here in Indy, and we are hooked. We followed your advice and got the VDR mat for our sluice box. Haven't used it yet but am looking forward to it!
Back in the 1960s on television news an item about two guys who panned gold in the creeks leading into Lake Superior in Northern Minnesota and they were panning about two ounces of gold per day when gold was about $45 per ounce. As I recall the streams they were panning in were just North of Duluth Minnesota. I don't know if laws changed but I am not aware of anyone prospecting for gold in those areas anymore.
I tellyawut…. One reason I watch your channel Jason , ( well Cobbles 🍻 … of course ) is to see That Fine Day you or Ryan uncover a 2 pound nugget of gold !!! Gold I say !!!
Happy Sunday! Get what you can before the hard freeze hits! Tough to count all those especially with a few cold ones making you start over am sure! Lol. 227 seems as good a guess as any.... keep up the great videos!
187. I’ve actually been finding gold across the pond from u where there’s supposed to be very little of the stuff. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance good sir!! Keep ‘em coming you are appreciated!
Top fun day out Jason , I reckon 487 pieces in the pan , but i could be underestimating that figure a mite . lol . Well done again mate . Cheers Ned . 👍👌✌
Jason another area you may check along creeks are what's called "oxbows"; these are small kidney-shaped holes that were originally part of the creek. If you look around the outside areas of the creek, you may find either dry or water filled oxbows. You may have to clear the area around the creek to find them. Gold has been known to settle in oxbows, sitting for hundreds of years just waiting for you and the Rigster to claim it! 😂😂 Allan in Columbia, SC
Love the video. My guess 327 pieces. Rigby looked at you guys like your digging in the wrong spot. Stay safe and keep the videos coming. Give the boys a hug and snack for me .love my dogs too
Great video Jason ✌🏼nice gold there ,that’s last pan was great I’ll guess 389 pieces Just got back today from Colorado me and my son did find some flour gold in the creek near the cabin nothing to right home about dozen pieces was a great time anyway. Cobbles 🍻✌🏼

I'll go with 400 even... As usual I look forward to, and enjoy, living vicariously as a prospector through you and Dan (I'm sure you know Dan). Soon enough I'm going to try it for real. I have nice chest waders and a shovel so all I need is a cheap sluice, a nice pan and classifier, and a snuffer. Maybe next summer will be my time... Cobbles!
My guess is 147. I think I’ll be running some material this afternoon as long as the rain holds off. You are definitely right when you say your paydirt bags are chalked full of gold.
Thanks for the day at the creek. I think Rigby was trying to tell you that the gold was better on your other secret spot. Missed the video drop so the right guess was already in. Congrats to Tom.🎉 Til next time. COBBLES!!!🍻

Good point! It certainly does concentrate the gold nicely before sinking!
That gold sluice works real good for sluicing gold oak and maple leaves .... if only tree leaves (or Canadian coins) were valuable ...
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Maybe that deposit exrends across the creek because that bank may have eroded many feet back over the years?
Agreed, but it’s deeper there from years of flow. I like those rich shallow deposits!
