Man, I wish I could've made it to this mall. It's definitely my favorite dead mall out there. And it looks so cool at night, like something I see in my dreams. I appreciate you filming this place
I remember coming here as a kid and recently when Arcade Legacy was still there. I have a picture when a decently sized smash bros tournament took a lot of space around the pig gazebo
I don't think the decore has changed since the mall opened iirc. It was a glorious sight to behold back in the early days for a small child. Now like so many other places it will go into the records as some place that once was. Thanks for the video. Now I'm gonna have a drink.
My wife and I visited in 2021. It's a cherished memory. Walking around, we were warned the Security Guard might try to harass us for documenting the Mall, the NY owner's marching orders for fear of people seeing how dilapidated the place is, but we kept a decent walking pace and only went where we were allowed. The bathrooms were well kept per my wife to both our surprise. This was the best abandoned Mall I think I could wish for and my only experience, wish I would've gone again in 2022. The escalators smelled like dry electric which to me falls in line with the 12.22 'fire hazard' and the old empty fountains did seem like maybe a switch had been left on somewhere, back to the smell. Beyond that to avoid break ins to places, presumably the theaters and back halls, the exits were sealed, which isn't legal. The theatre was visible at my visit, the old poster light boards had been vandalized. Insulation was coming out of the lobby walls presumably due to water damage. Would have greatly enjoyed Paid tours, but I understand that'd be a waiver in and of itself.
I heard horror stories about the security harassing people just for taking pictures. I haven’t gotten harassed here. Except for one time when we were walking around the old Biggs market outside. The mall is actually closed now, Brass Pro Shop moving out and the mall is scheduled for demolition any day now.
I really love the bright colors in this mall. It’s a shame that stores couldn’t be brought back and the mall revitalized. It looks kind of creepy with the shadows. Isn’t there a bounce place and arcade still there or did they move out as well.
The existing Bass Pro Shops will close and relocate to a new 150,000 sq. ft. building at the “Streets of West Chester “ in the Union Centre area of West Chester, Butler County, Ohio.
Now I'll never be able to visit since it's closed now. I'm actually heartbroken because I've wanted to visit this mall ever since I was a teenager and now I never will be able to. I just keep letting life pass me by and I don't do anything about it. What is wrong with me?
Looks like the Ohio Governor made an announcement about demolishing over 800 structures across Ohio for a revitalizing project, a huge amount of them being in Cleveland.
The mall closed a few days ago due to health code violations. I’d say that was the death blow to this place. It’s not reopening at this point. If you never seen this place but never got the chance you won’t be missing much. Just an empty building with buckets collecting rain water is all that’s left. If the visible parts of the mall are that bad…I’d hate to see what the movie theatres look like.

It’s my favorite too. It’s going to close by early next year.
@@slackingpacking Oh okay. I hope I can get there in time. I'm one state over in PA, but it's a 9 hour drive
i think its worth going if ur ever in ohio, its absolutely wild and eerie

Arcade Legacy is a cool place! I’m glad they relocated.

Realistically the mall should have been closing when Dan Bell visited the mall back in April 2016.

The arcade moved out, the bouncy house is still there.

I'm so jealous. I wanted to explore it when I was down there recently not realizing it closed right after you got the chance.
I’ve been here numerous times in the past. It’s a surreal place.
It closed on December 2nd 2022. Except the Bass Pro Shop and the Kohls
Bass Pro is gone leaving only Kohl’s
@@monkeydui7241 I did see that the bass pros shop was being constructed

I wonder whatever happened to that pool ball 'art piece'?
Is it still possible to go inside this place? I know Bass Pro and Kohl’s are still open
No it’s not.
@@slackingpacking Damn that sucks.
I’m surprise the mall stayed open as long as it did.
@@slackingpacking I went in Summer 2021 and it already was in disrepair. So the fact it stayed open another whole year isimpressive.
Do we have final word or is this the same as when it was announced in April?

Nice work
Thanks!
Would have loved to have gone with you but my ass got banned due to my antics. XD
Is there still a way even they they boarded it off?
awesome video. I have a video on my channel exploring this place as well, can't believe its actually getting demolished. subscribed!
Awesome and welcome!
When is the mall scheduled to close because I need to make it down there
I think early next year.
man that sucks
whens their last day?
I think January 2023
I’m banned for life at this mall!
I think that the mall is banned for its life?
