I was fishing under that same exact bridge this past weekend and caught my first salmon ever! I believe it was a female Chum salmon. I'm looking to also hopefully catch some Chinook, do you know when they start running through here?
@@ChoombaMan that’s awesome! Unfortunately the chinook have all pretty much swam through and they’re at the end of their spawning run this year, but they usually start around late August and run all the way through mid October
What was the date you fished here? I'm curious about fishing the upper green next year for Chums and b run Coho.... The green river is a great fishery. I've done pink salmon fishing there 2 seasons now. It's next level.
It’s definitely a super underrated river, right in the heart of the city as well. This was filmed around beginning of November I wanna say November 2nd or 3rd
wow i feel like ive seen this like i saw this video not to long ago but it mite just be me lol. But once agian the edits still on the top please dont stop uploading and continue i know i just know one day this will pop off. i keep changing my pfp but i think this the last time
i'm usually pretty nice and forgiving but what is wrong with your friend beaching salmon like that you beached that chinook wasn't as bad but still bad but that fish is gonna loose all its slime coat and start to grow fungus quicker then it should and wont live as long and wont be able to fertilize as many eggs with females if i saw you did that id be upset and would call you out for it
Yeah this wasn’t my proudest example of handling these fish, but we unfortunately forgot our net at home, so we didn’t really have much of a choice but to land them by bringing them up like that. I appreciate the concern for the fish though and I’m totally with you on that one!
Dope video man!! I have been exploring the area across the train tracks but the water is way too low for twitching or floating. I was wondering if that walkway that you were on under the bridge extended so that you could walk further down river to the area that's currently open? Was planning on checking out that area this weekend but wanted to make sure I could access legally open waters. Appreciate any help!
@@maxfishinn hey man appreciate the reply. Got out there today, did some bushwhacking and there’s def a trail that connects those areas to some bank space below the bridge. Thought you might appreciate the info as well!
No it wasn’t, usually it has to do with the color of the fish, in general the darker it is the worse the quality of the meat will be, I rarely take anything past a slightly colored fish where you can still see chrome, but I’ve seen people take really dark fish and say they smoke really good I just haven’t personally tried it, thanks for watching!
Those edits are on POINT! 😮💨
Another fire vid! Keep it up I’ve been loving them 🙌🏼🔥
My home river! Amazing place to fish. Some great people fish it too. I'd love to fish with yall sometime

Nice catch. May I know where are you? I was at Three Friends Fishing holes in the last 2 days but unable to get any.
This is up by black diamond road

Not sure if it does I’ve never gone down that way, but it’s always worth a try to check it out

Hey bro, when do you think it will be a good time to go back to green river and catch anything?
I usually like to hit up that river late fall, around October
Hey Im super new to salmon fishing, how do you know which fish to release and which to keep? Was James first catch a keepable?

Nice. Did you get to go out this year?
@@danielh3894 sure have!
@@maxfishinn nice it’s been a few years since I’ve had a chance to get out there
I think that part of the river is closed.....i could be wrong.
It was closed downriver from the bridge we were fishing at
Great catches! May I know the location and hook size?
@@AkashIslam the upper green river, I was using a 3/4 oz jig
when was this video recorded
November 2nd
Say man, you can’t fish
Thanks for watching!
Typical for this area....as soon as you start catching them people come and get on your hole shoulder to shoulder
You need a lesson on fish ID man......those are Pink Salmon, not Coho......
I know I caught pink salmon but I also hooked into bright red coho as well
Do you have a WhatsApp friend? Or a fishing group?
I do not but I have my socials you can follow in the video description!
