- Following our tennis clinic and lunch, there was a Q&A session with tennis legends Monica Seles and Judy Murray held at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills NY on September 9, 2019.
So happy to have discovered this Q&A. I’ve loved Monica since I was 8 years old when I first saw her on TV at Wimbledon in 1989. She’s the reason I got into tennis and it is still a lifelong passion of mine. I’m a huge Djoko fan now and watch him in everything but Monica will always be my number 1.

Wimbledon 92 was disgusting to Monica!.
I actually blame people like Nathalie Tauziat for stirring up a hornets nest in the quarter finals of Wimbledon '92. She should've just accepted that she wasn't in the same league as her opponent. She just couldn't leave it alone... It seemed it was Open season when it came to provoking the greatest player on the circuit back then...
@@Smudgeroon74 💯… what no one chose to say was that both martina and tauziat had played Monica several times by this point!!! Those two ruined what could of been a great final
@@paddylewis6818 totally yes, both players played good matches to get to the final, but it was unnaturally 1 sided affair.
Even though Martina has always said great things about Monica I really can’t forgive her or Tauziat for the way they behaved
Completely agree both tauziet and Navratilova had played Monica a number of times before Wimbledon it was just sabotage on there parts and Wimbledon took the bait!!!. Not to say she’d of beaten Graf in that 92 final butvthe couldn’t not of been that poor. @@pjw1980
Grunting is a non-issue these days. Players during the latter half of and following the Seles era, both men and women, have grunted and still do on the court. Nadal, Djokovic, the Williams sisters, Azarenka, Halep ....all top players. Seles was unjustly targeted which kinda affected her play at key matches.

Monica once said she had unusually large hands. This clip shows that to great effect!
Big hands is always a plus for an athlete in most sports.
To be real and honest Monica Sales is way beautiful than Eugenie Bouchard.
Bouchard has a really horrid personality. I find her very unlikable!
LOL - Monica is great but your comment about Bouchard makes you the "ugly" one. Just speak highly of the players you like and leave it at that. How can you even compare players and especially those from different times. So dumb and funny.

Monica is great but why would anyone compare a tennis player to another especially in a different time? Just dumb. Focus on Monica and don't put down other players.
