I got these because it said gel. Think I got the regular ones though unless the venture 9 is just waterproof.
I’m currently wearing some cheap Walmart shoes for a 8hr shifts walking all night. Hopefully these will be more comfortable!

Which one would you pick and why? They are both going for the same price in the asics store $70.00 they also weigh the same 10.5oz. Use the same materials.
I had the exact Gel Venture 9 and tried it today at work where I'm on my feet the whole 8hr shift. Damn!! MY FEET HURTS. Definitely not comfortable. 5 stars for the looks though.

Do both of the Gel Ventures have the same size?
They do for me.
They last about a year under normal use like walking....running?... I don't know, just don't get oil (bug spray, motor oil) on them because it destroys foe leather, canvas and the glue that holds the sole on...also, don't wash in strong soap.... just warm water is the best.
i bought it for my son but when i got home i got a women asics same style but not the color, i am thinking its ok for my son to use it😢

Bro can I use these for basketball
I just bought a pair and did Les Mills Body Combat and jumped rope for 20 mins - IMHO I would say, yeah they'd be fine for basketball. Plus they are super cheap atm..
The soles have grips designed for running in slippery areas like wet woodlands. They are not designed for smooth surfaces like a basketball court.

That's up to you.
They are quite good, dense foam will last longer, as will the rugged outsole rubber and the upper is a tough mesh.

it ain't soft. Its softer than the 8 but compared to their $90 and above running shoes your walking on the floor.
