Great video! Gave me a few places to go visit that I’d never heard of, despite living there for 18 years!

Nice collection of interesting places BUT you missed the best, Ennerdale. Park up in the village and proceed to navigate round the lake, also if you have time do half curcuit of the lake then head up the valley to Black Sail YHA, well worth the walk to see the most isolate Youth Hostle. Stunning scenery too.

Good shout! But a pretty long distance to travel to if you base yourself over the side of the lakes that I did!
There soo many good places I’ve missed!

@@Goughie All the more reason for a return visit in the future OR you could make an effort and try the Coast to Coast Walk as I did, first in 1987 as a 30 yr old and again in 2007 as a 50 yr old.

@@Goughie Definitely! Before moving back to Portugal, I've lived in Aylesbury for a few years and planned to visit the Lake District several times, but sadly never made it there. One day 🤞

Hi, great little video. Off topic but I was wondering if you’re still happy with your Voigtlander 50mm f1.5. Currently I’ve got the 21 f1.8 and the 75 f1.5, both of which I love, but I’m on the fence when it comes to whether to get the old 50 f1.5 Nokton or it’s Mk 2 replacement. Any views would be much appreciated. I shoot with a Leica SL so viewfinder blockage isn’t an issue. My other Camera being an X100V.

I really enjoy using my 50mm f1.5! It’s part of my two lens combo for the M6 alongside the 28mm
From what I’ve read online the MK2 version handles better. That’s the only thing I don’t like about it, the focus ring is a little stiff and a bit uncomfortable too

@@Goughie thanks for letting me know…. I’ll think on for a bit longer. 1st world problem, but I want to get a nice 50 I can keep, currently I’m using vintage Minolta 50s which are nice but not excellent. On your trip to the Lakes, next time you should stay in our local pub, the Kirkstile near Loweswater and Crummock water. I’m biased, but as a local it’s an undiscovered corner of the lakes with interesting photography options, I’m themacsinclair on Instagram, most shots are round very local
