Wow, fine record player. I see it has the early g.e. magnetic cartridge. I bet it sounds good .

This is a good quality unit, I have heard this, and well that GE cartridge will wear out records fast, I know I have already done this to some of my record collection before, I would not use the GE but only on 78's, no 45s or 33s those are the ones that get wear and damage from this cartridge needle combo!

Why would the GE cartridge wear out records fast? It is from the same era as the record player and the record being played. It has a .7 mil stylus for lp's and 45's. And you can adjust the weight of the tonearm. I use a GE mono cartridge for my new mono pressings and they sound great with no damage.

@@rogerlowery2089 It is a bad cartridge and does wear out records, I have already put this to the test, this cartridge sounds good but it is not good on records, it is abrasive on vinyl records

roger lowery I never heard of that either, I have many GE cartridges, I have the first model GE cartridge they made to and never heard of that
Any cartridge will damage records if the weight isn’t correct

Claude King? I was aware of Bob Dylan and Linda Ronstadt's versions.

You're right, I'll Be Your Baby Tonight by Claude King was written by Bob Dylan and was first recorded and released by Bob Dylan in 1967. Claude King released it on the album Chip 'N' Dale's Place in 1971.

You are so lucky. This is my holy grail record player. But I settled on another portable with the same GE cart. A Columbia/Webcor model 326 since I couldn’t find a pilot model on eBay.

I'm planning on buying a record player at the end of the month. It's gonna be an Audio Technica LP60 Bluetooth record player online from Walmart for $149.00 with Free Shipping and no estimated taxes

Laura Corbett, have you looked around for the same record player model, other then Walmart? That record player usually sells for 100.00 dollars usually, 149.00 is too high, look around to see if you can fins it cheaper if not then its Walmart for you, its up to you, just thought I would mention it, Have fun.
