    I think the biggest thing that goes against Yoshi P saying to go play other games is auto-demolish on houses being as short as it is. It should at least be two months. 45 days is such a wtf number.

    FFXIV is not maintaining their older playerbase at the moment very well. Most of my casual FC does not login anymore since about a month of DT release, but we've all been playing for like 3-6+ years on and off. Eventually you reach a point where you've done things that you want to do, and don't care about... doing stuff like all the yellow quests? Etc. I think the healthiest way for an MMO to move forward is to consistently add content that makes the wider base of paying players to want to continue paying. Right now SE is not doing this. FFXIV's competition is honestly kind of blowing them out of the water at the moment in this respect, and it's really unfortunate. FFXIV's team needs to recalibrate their dev pipeline because this DT cadence is bad.

    My first MMO was WoW. It got to a point where the grind was real, if you weren't on every day trying to keep up, you would get left behind. It got to a point were I would jump on and I didn't know what to do.
    I have been playing FFXIV for over 4 years now. I am so in love with the story, the play style and the community. It is so nice to hear someone's opinion not be so angry about the content currently out. My friends and I are caught up on the story and the new quests but that allows us to work on some things we might not have been able to before. We are working on getting mounts from endwalker, trying the criterion dungeons and overall achievement hunting (some of those ARR crafting and gathering extremes are something else). There is soooo much to do in this game even when there isn't new content. And it is fun to try and play some other games in the meantime, especially when on maintenance our fc will play some Jackbox. But love that your commentary is very level headed. You're awesome!

  • @JoshVanAlstine

    If I'm going to justify a subscription there needs to be more than what's on offer. Meanwhile players can say there's plenty of content, and while not strictly wrong, the issue is that there isn't enough that's *enjoyable* to do. Most of what's on offer is just busy-work, and unengaging. I get that if you're someone who has very little free time you probably feel like you're drowning in content, but there are plenty of people with lots of time to kill who are always up to date with what's being released. Sure, they can go do something else (and they do), but as a business relying on a subscription model the goal is to keep players subbed so you keep making money. If you're already drowning in content and they decide to add more... well, nothing changed for you, did it? The player who wanted a reason to stick around but didn't have one though might actually keep that subscription running. Just one sub isn't a whole lot of income, but if it's tens or hundreds of thousands of subs it's meaningful income.

    • @tkmx4126
      @tkmx4126 14 дней назад +10

      I feel the same way honestly. Yes there is plenty to do (and I have done most of it, been playing a long time now), but the game needs activities that have more meaningful replay value and not, as you said, unengaging busy work that is pretty much one-and-done stuff. At times it ends up feeling like a big buffet of cheap food rather than a meal truly satisfying.
      Just as you alluded to, people want to play this game, and being told "too bad, go play something else" feels pretty bad when everyone should want their gameplay experience to feel fulfilling, not just people on extreme ends of the spectrum. For me personally it isn't even necessarily about having more to do per se, I just wish things were more engaging; dungeons in particular come to mind (way too linear, way too easy, way too formulaic and predictable).

      I agree, like, if you look at tribe quests it's looks like almost nothing will change if they replace it with just blue side quest chain. Like Tataru one. But this will free time for devs to add something more interesting... like dunno, remember seasonal event FATE where you was given a set of buttons to "dance and soothe" big bomb? Something more engaging and experimental like that.

      FFXIV is amazing for new players that jive with it. If you've been around for an expansion or two by this point, you're probably bored out of your mind unless you play like maybe 4-8 hours a week or something and don't skip anything. I think that's the real issue.

  • @tanhongyi7180

    The truth is, this game stretches content without FOMO. They planned these 3-6 month patch cycles with each patch content that could be completed in less than a month. I can understand why veterans would be frustrated, but if anyone is a SHB-EW sprout whom hadn't even done Deep Dungeons, old Relic grinds, Field Operations, they don't belong to the category whom deserves to complain about the game. The issue is how most MMO veterans are content gluttons. They sped through a new expansion in matter of 2-3 days, grinded the living hell out of shared FATEs in matter of one week, grinded for mounts for next couple of weeks, then proceed to say they're done with the game......that took 2-3 years to make. FFXIV actively avoids abysmal RNG setups, but these MMO connoisseurs approached FFXIV content like ravenous beasts, all because they only want the fresh and headstart experience.
    The fact is, most live-service games uses grind objectives and RNG to prolong their consumer playtime. Their replayability rests heavily on PvP, or PvE gameplay that doesn't run on scripted sequences. FFXIV is a complete opposite : Your PvE boss moves are timeline-scripted and you have a pity baseline totems and books that guarantees loot after a specific amount of clears. And tomes being capped at 450 per week sums up that one job can be fully geared(except weapon) in 6 weeks without winning any loot. There are 7 gear types and 4 accessory types in this game so there's more than plenty of time to ensure you can gear every job before the next endgame patch cycle(e.g. 7.0 -> 7.1 -> 7.3). People whom are whining about PvE weren't into PvP either(look at the audience reactions whenever PvP notes were read in PLLs).

      Regarding specifically housing - there is content legitimately locked behind it that you need an FC house to access (airship/submarine exploration). If you want that content you stay subscribed.

    You're wrong here because you simply don't pay a monthly sub just to get told to play something else after 1 week. Games that ask you for monthly payment need to reach a baseline of quality and quantity when it comes to content. XIV is not doing that. The main problem why people are burned out is that the "new" content is not new and simply the same formulaic stuff reskinned.
    The amount of reskinned assets in this game is insane.

    Of course there's something else to do within the game. I can always go back and do older content, if I want to, but not everyone wants to 100% the games they play.
    I don't understand how adding more content to the game will create FOMO or burn out. You are an adult, if you can't play right now, play when you can!!! A lot of people missed out on Eureka and Bozja, but that content is still there to do. And let's be honest, the worst FOMO I have seen in any MMO is tying your house's *progress* to whether or not you're subscribed. It is wild that demolition exists as it does and it feels like you have to pay rent to keep something you've invested so much gil and time into.
    Sincerely, I don't understand why people are still saying to play another game when they have issues and concerns. This worked in Shadowbringers, but we're way past that. To be honest, they probably will! And they probably won't come back!!! A monthly subscription and an expansion should be worth the purchase.
    This game has been so successful, but the standard has stayed the same. I don't want to play a subscription based MMO to only realistically use a quarter of the time I'm paying for. If this game was a one time purchase, I wouldn't mind, but Square Enix has made so much money off of this game, they need to invest into it.

Now I’m taking a break by finishing some other games I’ve been putting off before I dive back into FFXIV and new goals therein. Even with everything I’ve done? There’s still a bunch I haven’t done such as Deep Dungeons and Blue Mage stuff. Like, there is SO MUCH to do in the game and people vastly underestimate it imo. Unless they kept up with every last achievement since ARR, I highly doubt they actually have everything possible completed. If they want more FFXIV, I’m sure there’s plenty of achievements in areas they haven’t touched to go exploring.

    bro pays 20 dollars monthly for a gym membership without gym equipment because it doesn't pressure him to use the equipment
    it's no wonder xiv is dropping in numbers and failing to attract interest if the playerbase they fostered themselves is so emotionally tied to the game they just want to pay the money to afk in limsa because it makes them feel they are part of a community
    I would assume if you're a fan of the game, then you want the game to be successful and to grow and improve over time, not be stagnant and appealing to people who like to pay money for the game and then go play something else instead. When it comes to the "no fomo" part, thankfully someone already mentioned that the thing you were supposed to invest time and currency into which is housing, is deleting all of that when you stop paying sub for about a month and a half, which by definition is worse than fomo since you don't fear on missing out, you are losing something you already had. There's something to learn about the non-fomo approach from Guild Wars 2, which unlike XIV commits to the idea fully with the core system of any MMO, being the progression system.
    FFXIV community is unfortunately self-destructive in the long term, since people like to think it's all good and the game is doing great, but in reality it's just about how many dawntrails in the row can it survive
    Customers actively working against their own best interest is nothing new, but xiv community really elevates this concept

The game does offer a lot to players, but so many don't want to tap into different types of content for any number of reasons. Which is fine by the way! But I learned over the years that the best way to enjoy FFXIV is to treat it like a Japanese dinner. Instead of one big bowl of noodles in front of you, there are many dishes on the table with all kinds of different foods to enhance the experience and taste. If one finds more things to enjoy in FFXIV; they will enjoy the game more, and stay more active. This does not apply to everyone; but I highly encourage players to always try out content they never did. The lull periods are so nice because it allows me to explore the game in a more relaxed mood. I get how people feel on wanting more content, but I personally feel there is enough already, and this is someone who has done most things in this game.

    Where's the relic? This would be perfect to give players something to do in these (what feels like) perpetual dead periods of zero content for non raiders.
    Where's the new Bozja?
    Where's the Island Sanctuary in space?
    Instead its an hours worth of MSQ, a single Hildibrand quest, a dungeon and a beast tribe. That's it? That's supposed to tide us over until what? April? June? I appreciate the sentiment of "don't treat the game like a job" but the whole "play something else" feels like such a cop out to avoid valid criticism of the snails pace content release schedule sometimes. Saying "Play something else" while deleting your house if you're gone too long is also wild (yes I know auto demo is perpetually off anymore, but that's not the point)
    "Oh go back and do-"
    I swear to god if I have to do ARR content I'm going to usher in a calamity. I'm so sick of the same 3 buttons lol I have a super cool kit at 100, I want to use it outside of expert roulettes or normal raids.
    It also feels like SE is taking money from XIV and not putting it back into the game and instead pissing it down the drain on NFT bullshit and games that flop out of the gate. Yet they're still releasing SINGLE CHARACTER ONLY outfits and mounts for 20$+ which is extremely scummy, especially when you remember that they USED to be account wide until they stopped doing that to milk more money out of alt addicts.

    "Well that doesnt sound like you want the game to not be a full time job!" yes it does. Now instead they will be released i 7.2-7.5, closer and closer to the next expansion with little VERY little room to work around. What all this shit means to me in the grand scheme is they would rather you make it a full time job by not having anytime to finish it so you rush. Lets say this isnt the case, then they are releasing content with SUCH LITTLE lackluster amounts of content to do. They have a job to do now, due to their worst MSQ in the games history releasing to get on players good graces again. And right now, I dont see that happening.
    EDIT: All this I talked about. Would still be there. Waiting for you.

    One of my biggest gripes is how the devs don't seem to (want to?) tap into evergreen content. With minimum effort, they could introduce new incentives without having to introduce new content. Some examples:
    - Remove extremes from mentor roulette, and remove the mount achievement for all I care. I want to spam it to help newcomers with their queue times, especially the many quiet ones. But because I don't like extremes, that roulette is permanently locked to me. They could even add a second version of that roulette without the extremes, but let me help the quiet newcomers that are stuck in queue!
    - Introduce New Job+. I want to be able to level all jobs again _on my existing characters._ Creating an alt is far too much of a commitment, so that's not an argument. Add the option to choose your starting level - for example: level 50 for Viper - and players will have infinite replayability. The tech exists to introduce a scaling weapon so they don't have to add new weapons for lower levels. Players themselves can source gear if need be. For those who don't like leveling: your queue times will be quicker and there will be economic opportunities that rise from this. There's no downside to you
    - Introduce a Glamour Catalogue. If I want a new glamour, I want to coordinate the pieces first, then target them. The game forces it the other way round, which is just impossible and infuriating.
    - Allow players to store their current housing decoration in a template, then clear out their entire residence so that they can redecorate, then save that second decoration placement in a another template and allow people to swap between them. This will be great for seasonal changes, should help venues and will generally make housing more interactive again. For all the pain one has to go through to get a residence, it's a decorate once, forget forever after because of how much of a pain the inventory management is. Apply this to apartments and private rooms as well. Some 5-10 template slots would be great, but a minimum of 4-5 would allow seasonal options as well as personal variations.
    That's just a handful of things that will never lose relevance and should require minimal effort, provided the game's engine isn't too cooked to handle it. The game doesn't waste my time, but also _doesn't allow me to waste it._ I think that there's an important distinction there.

    finally a breath of fresh air with your take... honestly its so toxic with how content creators go on about the game. If you dont want/have anything to do then just simply stop playing. People have this strange attraction to the game that once something isnt as great as before or they run out of things to do they grow bitter and hate it, it goes beyond just disliking a game and moving on. they genuinely seethe about it. Sadly thats what most the community has become now a days. Just bitter angry people.

    I use the time to play other games - However, this doesn't make me like FF14 less. It does highlight things I think the game should improve upon, but in terms of the whole package, it is rare that any one game itself does enough things right to be worth dropping FF14 completely.
    Indeed, the most important thing someone can do with their gaming hobby is play more games - And if that means they stop playing FF14 because they found a game they jive with better, isn't that a good thing?
    Life is too short and the planet's getting too hot to spend your life playing a game you don't enjoy.
    All things end. And that's okay. One day FF14 will end too, or someone's time with it. What matters is if the time you spent on FF14, or anything else, is something you enjoyed, even if it lead you to playing something else you liked better.

    I'm still loving picking at things. I'll never do savage raids on content let alone anything harder then that. I would like to but the players I run into that do that, are not all that welcoming so I don't bother. I know a lot of folks want a new Bozja or Euerka but those are my least fav content. Ironicly because it feels so solo, even though it is built for mass players it quickly becomes a how fast the meta is found and everyone soullessly follows the meta. The game cannot please everyone and we need to admit that. I'm still mad about the game not giving two races the same love an attention the others get. Hair and hats being at best drip fed to Hroth and Viera is not fair. They just added another outfit to the mog station where the hat doesn't work, and the new customer delivery reward is a glam outfit where again the hat doesn't work. And she's a hroth so a lot of players are going to turn around and try and give her that outfit and learn no hat. Doesn't matter that I dislike both these new outfits that's still bad. However the actual game play has never been better for me. Why I ended up liking Dawntrail so much I had fun. I want to say 7.0 was a better time then 5.0 for me. Some doom says say all the jobs feel the same, but the small differences are huge for me. Though it could easily get worse so we need to be careful. But all I see online is other doom posts, of "14 bleeding players, this story sucked so whole game is bad, or I hate character X or their actor". Not saying I want this game to be untouchable I got problems with the story, but its the same problem I've always had. We keep forgiving bad guys to easily. Zenos is not your friend and anyone that really wants to forgive him, makes me nervous. However I do agree to the folks that hate logging on just to refresh their house and feel they are wasting money during their breaks for that. No idea how to fix that problem.

    No, it's not okay... because maybe, I don't know, maybe you started playing recently and it seems like that to you, but it hasn't always been like this. I understand that they are working on multiple projects simultaneously now or simply can't keep up the pace, but the updates have become longer and smaller. They take a patch, break it up, and release it in parts: this part after 2 weeks, another part after a month, another part after 2 months. When they used to release the whole patch together (at most, it was just a few fights after). And the monthly patches that came out (remember, we pay a monthly subscription, so every month they should add something, like all subscription games do) were actually new things and not just the same patch divided up...

      I remember it feeling overwhelming at first, the sheer amount of content, but the important thing to realize is that you aren't *required* to do any of it. You only have to engage with the content you want to engage with at any given time. It's there *as a feature* not *as a requirement* so just have fun! It will still be there later if you change your mind and become interested in something else later :)

    I see where you're coming from, especially since I'm a casual completionist that wants to get most or all of the achievements over time.
    But the problem with the content lulls is that many players end up leaving, and the game just feels a lot more lonelier.
    Yes you could go back and catch up on old content, which is something I do here and there, but many people don't exactly find the thought of going to Eureka and syncing down to Lvl. 70 and dealing with the empty instances very exciting.
    Nowadays, I only play with friends on weekends for mount farms and maps, but you can only do those so much. Players will always be more interested in doing stuff together if it's new content.
    I remember randomly hopping on weekdays with friends to work on the Yokai Event back when it was brought back, or simply having FC members to talk with throughout the day, back when the content lulls wasn't as bad.
    I'm sure some will tell me to get new friends, but my current ones really are great, and this is clearly a bigger and not personal issue if there's such an uproar over it.
    The problem with content lulls isn't necessarily that there's nothing to do, but rather that there's nothing really exciting going on, and it's creating this domino effect of many players going inactive, and the active ones feel less motivated to play because of that.
    But I do understand where you're coming from, and I do think it was worth mentioning, since people haven't really been approaching it from that angle.

    The release schedule this expansion sucks. Catering to raiders since release was a mistake, its why sub count is dropping. They had the goal of making the Chaotic raid as a way to get more people interested in raiding, but then raid designer said oops got carried away and made it more savage like. If you want to satisfy both sides patch .xx should alternate between them, instead they have catered to the small percent that actually does hardcore content and left everyone else starved until 7.2, its a very dumb decision.

  • @kisparks
    @kisparks 14 дней назад +2

    The downtime between patches feels bad when we're promosed more content and it doesn't materialize.
    Especially when we're paying a monthly fee on top of the price of admission for the expansion. This isn't a small indie company that needs to budget between hardcore raiders, in between content and easy content. We should be able to have it all. I'm one of those people who have done a big chunk of content so i have a good base reference of how much content we used to get in ARR and Stormblood. These days content updates are a trickle and takes 25% longer to see it.

    I've played this game non-stop since April, starting with Free Trial and eventually finished the DT Base MSQ.
    When new stuff came out, I didn't bother and just focused on alt levelling and filling out other stuff in the NG Plus catalogue.
    Until I finally decided to take a break from it shortly after New Year's and play other games instead.
    I didn't even do the endgame Raids that came with the base release.
    Since I don't do these things without tomestone gear and the current tomestone grind just isn't worth the lost time.
    I rather wait until the next XPac is released and the current endgame gear can be bought with Poetics instead.
    Right now, I am enjoying another playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 and finished my playthrough of #BLUD a few days ago, as well as a playthrough of Turok 3 Steam.

    It hasn't been since the launch of Dawntrail, it's been since the release of 6.1 almost 3 YEARS ago. They've released an overwhelming amount of content that's either super casual one and done or super hardcore. There's almost no long term midcore multiplayer content. This space was traditionally filled by the relic weapon grind, but they had the "genius" idea to make that generic tomestone farming for EVERY step.
    For anyone that doesn't understand the issue, allowing people to do anything to get the relics means they'll either keep doing what they're doing (casual) or do the most efficient thing, hunt trains. This means players not only don't have new content to engage with like Eureka or Bozja but also that they wont be cycled back into previous content to breathe new life into it like HW relics and the Bozja side quests. EW was the perfect opportunity to make older content like ShB FATE farming a part of the relic process much like they have for the HW and StB FATEs, except for ShB you'd have the massive benefit of helping new and old players finish their shared FATEs way easier.
    On top of that the secondary effect of this is raring it's head, which is that in the early patches of a new expansion people would usually go back to the previous midcore activities and get the other rewards or relics and probably do it with their friends. But EW has none of this content and you can't rely on similar content from StB or ShB because many people did all of that during the lockdown. They focused so much on making the game single player friendly that they took the MMO out of the MMORPG.

    • @XT91
      @XT91 13 дней назад

      I don't think you people know how to use this word "midcore" you've all rally behind for the last 2+ years. But it seems to be the go to for any complaint so you can't fall into the casual cliché but can still complain about stuff. I can't wait for this meta to be over its been very boring.

      @SuperEffector 13 дней назад

    • @SuperEffector
      @SuperEffector 13 дней назад

      @@XT91 I know a lot of people have different opinions on what it means, however despite that there is a consensus on the fact whatever midcore is, there isn't a lot of it right now.
      Also I have in fact thought a long time about what midcore is without resorting to subjective metrics like skill or time invested.
      Objectively it's the scale of preparation and coordination. Don't need either? Casual content. Need one of them? Midcore. Need both? Hardcore. It's that simple, and any player of any skill can understand it.
      For example Eureka and Bozja need preparation from the player, but you don't at all need to coordinate with anyone unless you're doing BA or DRS. Dungeons? You can run those completely blind with no issue. Savage? You need to know what you and other players are doing. No matter your skill level these things are true for the overwhelming majority.

Its not a f2p or b2p game its a sub game where people pay every month so they would want to play it. I think something many people who complain about "content droughts" never mentions, it's not possible for any developer to make content faster than the players can complete it. They could have 10k people working on the game, it still would be slower than us.
    Personally I'm content with the 2-3 weeks of full blast then back to a very mellow get everything important done in like 2 4 hour sessions a week. Something IRL comes up? FFXIV isn't on my mind. A new game comes out? FFXIV can be solved in a day or 2, or minimal time a few days a week. Got a little bit of extra time and feel like playing FFXIV? Plenty of side objectives to work towards.

    Nobody is saying that the game lacks content overall, but it lacks content if you're caught up, which you haven't.
    FFXIV is lacking compared to most MMOs when it comes to content. Even gw2 is able to keep you more busy.

    As someone who likes to play a bunch of games, rather than stick to just one, I agree entirely. I realise that as a (relative) sprout (about 200h in but I'm only in HW post-patch quests) I'm not necessarily representative of the wider community but as someone who _is_ eager to get to all of XIV's content eventually, knowing that it's not stacking up infinitely keeps me actually coming back to the game, rather than giving up. (Especially if the content that _is_ coming out remains high quality? Less stuff that's more fun to actually play, given my limited free time? Please!)
    e.g. being able to sink most of the last month into Path of Exile 2 without stressing about the catchup has been great, and now I'm back to plowing through the MSQ, all without worrying about a. how much content is there, but more importantly, b. whether it'll even still be there by the time I GET to lv100!

It's the hardest content in the game because with my experience, people don't even know you exist if you're a male hyur. People only like viera mostly, then all the others secondly.

    I think people have gotten so used to games demanding 100% of their time that when a game allows them to have a life outside of it they dont know what to do with the extra time. There are so many things to do in this game, people who have played it for years and still have stuff left to do. Ofc, it depends on what you want from the game, but as you said, there are other games out there you can play if you dont want to wait. People are acting as if they are forced to play ffxiv when it is very clear that it is not the goal of SE.
    I do have my gripes with the current system of many things, like they constantly introducing new glam items but we still dont get a glam plate per job, and that is not even counting DoH/L, but majority of people arent asking for improvements, they are asking for the game to occupy 100% of their time while only wanting to do high end content. Imho, over new content, I would rather have improvements in how the current available content works. The portrait new feature was huge, instacast esuna? gimme 30 of those, the new housing update to come that will allow you to get an M size house and change the interior to be like an L, we need more of that.

    Tbh I'm actually kinda glad there's not much new content to do yet because Rivals takes up a lot of time plus I've made it a goal to 100% a few games this year. If anyone is looking for game recommendations, I'd highly recommend the Yakuza/Judgment series, RDR/RDR2 and the Ace Attorney games! I do wish we'd get some relic to work towards but it's early into the expansion - it'll come soonish. Always enjoying your videos, Bubbins!

    I think the game is good the story was awful though, hopefully we lose this last group of complainers we gained from the wow exodus. I mean just go play wow I hear its a great game you all talk about it all the time but you won't go play it. There's a lot of stuff I'd like to see change that aren't just these soft platitudes youtubers have been parroting ad nauseum for last few weeks but I've haven't ran across any video talking about them.

    nice to see someone who actually shares my same opinion for once. the discourse, as usual, is getting super toxic over very little lol. this game was a breath of fresh air after i left destiny and ESO, some of yall dont realize how much *non hardcore* content there is in this game. its not as geared towards it as people think, i feel like.

    I love seeing videos like this! I personally adore content lulls because they give me the opportunity to try other games. If not for that, I'd probably find it really difficult to step away from XIV. I have been playing for about 5 years now and I still havent even unlocked every job! I just play when I want to and dont when I dont. The community can be really exhausting with the negativity and criticism, so it's great to see a more down to earth perspective c:

      @@Aitherea It's exhausting having valid criticism over the direction of a game you love being dishonestly phrased as just "negativity and exhausting" and people coming into the conversation with silly comments like: "I like that the game lacks content because I lack self-control." Just to shut down the conversation. More content wouldn't harm you, but it would benefit people who want it. Unless you admit that you have 0 self-control?
      I mean what would you do if they removed all the "moisture" from your Au'Ra? You'd probably get quite upset, making a few videos about it. :)

    For those of us who enjoyed the game for friends and connections it's terrible. Our friends leave, then we come back at different times, and no friends, and now it's just a multiplayer game not an 'MMO'. Things are worse than they used to be. The stuff left in the game, is press X brain dead junk. Where is the battle content. Doesn't matter now even if there is. LOTS of people have left. Like 'everyone' I knew who wasn't ultimate. I only know one person who did savage who doesn't do ultimate.

    I think having thousands of hours in a game, and then saying there is nothing to do, just shows the one with the problem is you. If a game gave me a 1000 hours, it already succeeded in satisfying me. No game is meant to entertain forever. I’m a super new player that has like 10 hours in only, and I can tell it will be worth investing my money and time in this for the next 2 years.

    The lack of content issue people use is a joke, there is so much to do in this game, so much old content and achievements already take months. My issue is the story is rubbish these days. SB was average, ShB was really good, since then its been average at best

    The funniest thing is that if we are really going for details then Dawntrail currently has more and much higher quality Content than in Endwalker when it was on the same patch state.
    Personally i enjoy DT currently so much more then Endwalker during the same x.1 state, especially because of the quality of the Content, i would call myself a semi harcore raider doing just the Savage and Ex stuff and dipping sometimes in Ultis. But even then Endwalker really did not satisfied me outside of "raidlogging" wich is why my biggest break i had in EW during the same timeframe we are now in DT.
    DT i consider rn as one of the better expansions for now, while the content is for now not that many, the quality is high and its fun to do my dailys and weeklys. And while i definitly belong to the more "elistist" Group that has done most of the content already. I still cannot really complain besides the Job system wich is currently the worst since ever. But thats for another time.
    I play since Heavensward so i have seen this Game shift and change much more than some other players, and currently... we are back to a better state from a Game perspective.
    However i definitly can understand frustration if "raiding" is something a player dont want to do, and by that lock themselves out of content. But in my experience, that was allways in every expansion the case. Endwalker and Heavensward was there not so different. And the last one was infamous for being the worst Raid expansions for well known reasons.

      The content quality in DT is the best we have since STB,c what are you talking about? Don't confuse the MSQ with the rest of the game! The dungeons are better, the Alliance Raid is great, the Ex trial are good, the 8 man raid is great, we got the Chaotic Alliance. I have no idea what you're talking about...what content has worse quality in DT? Apart from MSQ, that is

      @@sophiastorm8616 i agree about chaotic raid its very fun, but the 8 man savage is worse than pervious expansion and the current ultimate is by far the worst ultimate imo, the alliance raid is still worse than both shb and sb, even jobs are not that fun to play even the new jobs, and we don't wanna talk about how bad the msq lol

    • @sophiastorm8616
      @sophiastorm8616 13 дней назад

      @ savage is betther than EW although not so well tunned, aliance raid is a lot bet then EW , and imo, by a mile. the ultimate is not the best but it's far from being bad. the dungeons are also the best ones in ages. i wont talk about jobs because i dont agree with the mob's opinion. there are jobs with issues like DRK and picto must be tunned but is fun to play and so is viper. the MSQ wasnt good but that's 1 aspect of the game and it's far from being over. ARR wasnt good either.
