It's pretty usual in America and Canada for retired seniors to live in mobile homes. Also, a lot of retired Japanese people these days like to travel around whole Japan in mobile homes. Actually, my brother in his 70's is planning to sell his house in Canada and use the money to buy a yacht to sail across the pacific. People only live once, so why not follow the dreams, don't want to be a "salted fish"🐟😉

This number represents an increase of almost 23,500, or 3.6%, over the last 12 months. Of these, 248,633 homes are classed as long-term empty properties, having been empty for over six months. The number of long-term empty homes in England has increased by 4.8% over the past year. The number of empty homes in England peaked in 2008 at over 738,000, and gradually reduced until 2017, when the numbers started to increase again. Figures today are now back at the level of empty homes last seen in 2012.
If they are approaching their senior life and have some inherent health issues, if the worse come to the worse, they can sell their motor home and move into a care home. If they stay in their existing house and eventually end up in a care home they’ll have to sell their house to the local authority to pay for the care home costs anyway. So might as well enjoy life the way they want to before ending up at a care home
there is no right or wrong on his decision to sell his residence. He might now have shared his other reasons considering he is the seller. He might have a better insight than you've on the outlook of UK homes. The writings are on the wall. Not everyone sees them though.
Lacking multiple million units is a mis-conception. Do you see multi-million homeless people on the street? Also, even though HK people is not the only force that pushes up prices, it is a major source of fume fluid that significantly faciliates fume burning. UK market is a very easy to manipulate market (remember the sudden sharp drop of GBP a year ago?). Be very skeptical.

Drop kerb 系方便disable 輪椅車人仕用途,地下colour yellow paving block 內有圓點,系供給弱視人仕讓引導他們方向,council 安裝 bollard 系行人通道pavement上 恐怕車輛出入發生意外,香港大部份系有車輛出入個ramp 系用colour red paving block 用意以示小心,bollard 又安裝個間住宅lot boundary 外, council (衙門)恐怕發生因車輛出入意外後,被人批評
就算對老夫婦未來因為健康問題唔可以再揸住架車屋周圍去，佢地都可以settle喺架車屋度架(雖然唔可以泊喺城)，就好似啲人住喺運河嘅船屋咁囉。咁都係一條後路嚟架?
果對夫婦個想法幾好喎。退休後 有機會我都想做一個咁既決定。不過我估我會做多D 準備，為左可以成功在 65之後仲夠體能望世界，我估我一踏入 50 就會好好照顧自己身體控制體重。
其實對夫婦的做法，某程度上同香港人移民英國一樣,香港人咪又係放棄哂自己嘅野去到一個未知嘅地方😊

西方國家的人民都熱愛退休旅遊、享受餘生、兒女長大各負責有自己的生活、無後顧之憂、再者長者福利某程度有保障 、西方傳統文化或國情與 東方大不同、 理解這倆長者那瀟洒決定😍

事實上香港都有類似例子，比如好多人一夠60歲就會申請老人公屋，響60歲前兩年就會將喲錢比曬仔女（通常係比個仔），因為香港上公屋（以前）都係查你上樓前兩年係要無物業，所以好多人用呢個漏洞，你發現香港係點起公屋都吾夠，因為老人不停增多，而佢地又不停要獨立既長者屋（老人公屋）！！總之就係一夠鐘就要訓街，除非政府比公屋佢地，佢地既仔女又會一早寫好曬衰仔紙（而家好似無衰仔紙，更加方便）心態上就係要食政府，還掂死慳死抵只蓄剩幾百萬或一兩百萬元（以港幣計），如果真係有重大疾病，你甘少錢都幫吾到咩手，都係入政府醫院睇公家醫生，反而如果你仲有甘多錢響身，政府好多野（資助）你都無份/好難CLAIM到，所以不如響仲叫行得走得食玩HEA用曬佢，真係到行吾郁就做伸手黨！！

我都打算老咗退休買住家車周圍去😂
應該冇問題，錢用哂政府會照顧餘下的日子，這是外國人的思维，不是嗎？😅
好多英國退休人士除咗買架caravan周遊列國, 有D會買架canal barge經英國運河由南至北, 或由北至南漫遊全國.
應該加強交通配套，方便進出，自然願意搬遠小小，大約半小時車程是最理想，增加公共交通工具班次就可即時見效，不用等大型基建如鐵路系統，或兩者同時進行，香港都系咁做先可提升效率。只說不做就不可能進步，亦冇法改善環境同經濟實力。
鬆仔所遇到呢一對老夫婦嘅情況，同我舊年買樓時嘅情況一樣，一對剛退休老夫婦佢哋都係賣咗間屋俾我之後就會買架caravan周遊全英國，真心佩服佢哋勇氣，仲有當談起要搬走時，老太太雙眼通紅地話好missing 呢間陪伴佢一家成長的地方，依家仔女長大咗搬走，自己也是時候向世界重新出發！這才是精彩的人生🎉而我哋嘅成交也只用咗兩個多月就完成，間屋我哋住咗一年極度滿意👍

坦白,人係自私的-作為業主，正常都唔會想自己間房附近建一大堆social housings,畢竟社區配套未必支持到，仲有可能影響治安！
又，作為香港移民的我反而幾buy那對買mobile home夫婦，襯自已仲有少少健康同能力，實行自己車遊世界嘅夢想! 將來事將來算，最多咪住老人院！

因為鬆仔你有個家、有個責任感的包袱啫。試想這對夫婦會相信他們的健康走下坡時會進入飬老院。雖然說養老院要收費，但只要他們花剩不足£20000便可申請universal credit，亦可超便宜甚至免費住食。只要佢無錢。
