I jam with a guy whose brother was in this group. One week I transcribed the song and we recorded it at our jam session. From what I hear, the brother was quite touched to hear us do it.
growing dark on this side of town guess there's no reason for me hanging around now the sun has gone so has she, and i guess there's no moving on! i loved her so... the sun would shine for me on cloudy days but when she took her love it went away what did i do wrong? without her all my hopes and my dreams are gone! i loved her so... growing dark on this side of town guess there's no reason for me hanging around now the sun has gone all the warmth that was mine on a summer dawn, has gone away... Thanks, for sharing the lyrics to this wonderful song. If you pay attention to it it certainly sounds poetic indeed and lyrics in a sense are a poem. I remember back in High School my English teacher explained that words to a song is really a poem. Once you put music to a poem it's now a song. Many of these songs are wonderful indeed especially when they're a rare find. Thanks for sharing them with us and, Keep On Rockin!!!

This song even though it's a tear jerker it's still a great tune. If this song would've received the proper airplay perhaps it would've been a hit.
emma, you already said it. A weeper for sure. Moody and mellow.
Nice music and song. Enjoyed it. Mellow, serene, melancholy. Catchy melody that easily soothes. Reminds me of Beck’s morning phase album.
What I would describe as so beautiful and a Late Night Cruiser. Rog. Pacific sunset records .

so has she, and i guess there's no moving on!

what did i do wrong?
without her all my hopes and my dreams are gone!

all the warmth that was mine on a summer dawn,
has gone away...

Sounds like Chad and Jeremy!
Peter Frampton was hired as the lead singer of the Herd. Try "Paradise lost".
Not the same band. This is an American band out of Maryland.
Reminds me of The Aerovons....another band that had it all...and then disappeared.
It's not the British band that had Peter Frampton that's for true.
