I play this song when I'm driving in my 1964 chevelle Malibu SS and I love it
Ha ha I lived in Denton for a few months in the early 90's interesting little place and so is this record which I have never, ever heard till now, the chick singer has Gracie Slick tone which I like being a big fan of the J.A.. .come to think of it when this band was together in '66 I was out West spending my summer in L.A. still in grade school I was back in TX by September.
Great bands there in the 2000s/2010s. Look up Fungi Girls and be amazed.
Great record.
Light and bubbly ditty. It floats like a butterfly or a balloon in the sky Emma, today, Jan 8, is the King of rock and roll"s birthday. Elvis Presley would have been 90 yesrs old.
can you see me like i see you? i found it hard to grasp what you do and though you're right, many things you say hide your feelings, girl, before they give you away my mind is cloudy like a winter night though your words are sweet, i know you might not write can you see me like i see you? can you see me like i want you to? be the girl you are, not the one i see girl, i see you, can you see me? can you see me? can you see me? can you see me? (c. cotten, r. borgens, 1966.)
Nice one. It sounds more 66 than 68. 66 is my favourite year for bands like this, so that wasnt necessarily a put-down.
This and Your Land of Love/ Suicidal Flowers are my favorite of Crystal Chandelier
Ah yes, such a classic! One of my favorite psych records. "Come on baby, live a little" is so relaxing to me
I think I own this! This label was a 1960's label from my city. Thanks for the upload.
Liked it a lot though maybe the blokes needed a little more self-respect and could have been the Somethings and had better success? And Ewart Pinch - that just sounds a great name for a drummer! Cheers!
Difficult for me to warm up to a song structure this repetitive, tho I will say that droning quality does set the groove for the druggy trance feel which the band wanted to achieve. IMO a song that departs from the verse /Chorus / verse structure should not go on and on too long, which thankfully Paisley Haze doesn't. Thanks for posting tho, it was an interesting curiosity I had not heard before!
Oh ohh ohooo come on BABY!! !
Even if it was unhealthy, I don't want to miss these mind-expanding times! This is really a cool moody garage-psych song that remind me a bit of Lou Reed's Velvet Underground spirit. Thx Emma and A Happy New Year, cheers 🥂, Bernd
Good one.
All the lucky people who leave their home To go where their fellow flower people roam Some give a little and some give a lot Possibly been smoking that wonderful pot Oh baby, come on baby Live a little Bells that jingle from their boots so high Beads around their neck that could reach the sky Banners and signs all over the place Announcing you've hit a psychedelic race Oh baby, come on baby Live a little They drink the booze straight from the can That cause the freak outs across the land Sitting all around the big round square While worshiping the bottle as a prayer Oh baby, come on baby Live a little Thirteen little angels all on bikes Riding at midnight without any lights Some blowing glue and some blowing minds It's only the symbol of love, nature and life Come on baby, Live a little Come on baby, Live a little Come on baby, Live a little (m. dillon, 1968.)
Reminds me a little of “Love is Blue”
Paisley haze all through my brain Love the organ intro. emma, are you smokin" that wonderful pot? (no metaphors) Great psych garage Ty
Being that this song 🎶 was recorded in England. This group reminds me of the Zombies, especially their early material. It’s a very great 👍 song 🎵 with its unique sound. Very amazing song 🎶 indeed. 😊
Makes me think of driving at night. Great track, especially the organ moment.
agreed! :)
This is a good example of how u make some thing out of nothings...
nice :)
Drums and tune remind me a bit of the Zombies.
yeah they are definitely reminiscent!
this is awesome thanks emma!!! my christmas has been great! had lamb for dinner which was very very nice
awesome!!!
It's spectacular. It is different from others of the genre. It's a lot like West Coast sunshine pop psych. Emma, same here. No Bing Crosby. No white X-mas. I didn't hear any reindeer on the roof, but I noticed reindeer poop in the yard.
yikes, that's when you need a pooper scooper
@@local_garage_enthusiast A pooper scooper didn't work. There were nine piles of poop from nine reindeer. I used a snowblower.
Ear anthem
love me with all your heart, you know the stars are shining bright give me your hand tonight, and i will make you feel all right say that you love me so, say that you need me, oh and i will never let you go oh, at times like this i feel i've got to have a love to hold don't go, oh no i can do so much for you if you believe my love is true i'll buy you diamond rings, and i will never make you blue so hold me tight tonight, give me your love tonight and maybe time will stop and stare it will, at times like this the world becomes a lonely lover's lane oh no, oh no now that you're here with me, come taste the music and the wine we'll be in ecstacy, and share a love that's just divine now that you're near to me, it's coming clear to me that we should never drift apart oh, at times like this i feel i'm just a little beat of your heart oh, oh, no no, no, no, never be the same! oh, no, i'll never be the same! never be the same, at times like this (knight, 1965.)
Bonita canción!
Emma you can play more music of thid type?how enknown blue jean man i love the garagerock 60s😍😍😍🎵🎼🎸🎵🥁🎼🎸🥁👏👏👍😉
that's what i'm here for sir!!!
🌬💨💨💨❤🎶🎸🎵🥁🎼👏👏👏👍😍😍😉Emma
Great record.
The single is a great 60s garage rock two-sider. I like how this moody song builds up with the tremolo guitar sound, the good rhythm section, the oohs from the background vocals and the singer's perfect garage punk voice. The lyrics are a bit mystical but the song is so good that it could haunt you. Thx and Happy Christmas P.S. James Kobzeff wrote on his YT channel that this song was written and composed by Bill Rash, who in his opinion was the most talented Band member. He could play piano, harmonica, a.o. And he was their lead vocalist. He had them playing this song one day before the recording.
groovy facts!!!
Garage PUNk. There is no such thing as ‘Garage RAWK (?!)’.
Hey Kyle, what's your style?!
end of the day, when the sun is down you see her walking, she makes no sound hair is soft, and lips are full flashing eyes, flashing storm she's dashing, she's daring she's sparing, she's tearing she haunts you she's killing, she's chilling she's filling, she's willing she haunts you and when she speaks words of grace she makes your mind show its face her words are trancing, they make love come the sun is up, the day is done she's dashing, she's daring she's sparing, she's tearing she haunts you she's killing, she's chilling she's filling, she's willing she haunts you (bill rash, 1965.)
Ghostly garage number. Emma, you're looking forward to X-mas? You better watch out. You better not cry. Better not pout, I'm telling you why🎅 is coming to town.
hey im on the nice list this year man :0
Ahora escucho a Elvis Presley, no las canción rock & roll, a mi no me gusta el rock, sino sus slows Suspicions minds, The Wonder of you, Fool, My Boy, it's now or never, Suspicion..
Singer’s pitch is all over the place.
that can happen when you're a teenager :)
Guess what SHE KNOWS U LIED ....
