- Morecambe in Lancashire is arguably the best shore Plaice fishing mark in the North West. Late summer, good numbers of prime Plaice become concentrated up in the channel at low tide where they can readily be picked off using very basic terminal rigs due to the discolouration of the water, and with the simplest of baits, in this case frozen blacklug. Here Angling Addicts Dave Rushworth and Steve Gargan demonstrrate how its done.

I'm further up in the North West in Cumbria, there's some damn fine cod fishing up here but I envy you how good the flatty fishing is in Morecambe.

well maybe Plaice are a good fish? wait no infact they are! one of the most well-known too! And so what you have Snapper in New Zealand, so what! They're not that special either! And we have plenty of other fish in our seas too! We have some of the best fishing in the world over here in the UK!

I see these guys out and about in the bay all the time. I see some (not all) of them with there expensive gear and top of the range reels, thinking there seasoned pro's. . and then theres me, cheap shitty rod and reel out fishing all of them. Same everywhere I fish. I never understood why these lads spend a fortune to catch a shit fish in a silt pit? But thats Morecambe Bay for you.

And thanks to english people that introduced trout as you had fck all apart from eels in your rivers.............infact fck all animals to...............no deer, pigs etc.....................so what you have big trout? It is artifical fishing.
Perhaps British should take back all the animals we introduced to New Zealand and then see how shite it really is? lol
Being a different fish than snappers does not make them worse, each plaice is a tasty meal and worth catching. A different size drill bit is not better, just different. And if you don't have flat fish in NZ that's your loss in the same way that no snappers in the UK is ours
