I love grip chopping. A couple of years ago I chopped Glock 17 gen 3 frame down to Glock 26 size and used X-Grips on both 19 & 17 Magazines. I used only handtools finishing it with 800,1200, 3000 and 6000 grit. The finished product looked factory. It took me a few weeks primarily because I wanted the grip heal to perfectly match the 26 gen4 frame
That should work too. Just make sure the new slide is the same gen as the frame. Also there may be an issue with the recoil spring so double check that.
@arkansasoutdoorschannel1867 only thing is I have to find a company that will do custom fabrication to make me a custom barrel. Alot of places stopped making stuff for the .40 cal guns.
Only if you know the length of a 19. It could maybe be done with a using a 19 mag. You could try measuring the difference in a 19 vs 17 mag and then transfer that difference to how much to cut off the frame. I have never done it that way so I am not sure. Proceed at your own risk.
Also, be careful, as the G19 magwell is at a slightly different angle than the G17. You can see it in the video. Take off less rather than more and sand or file away the difference. I did a G22c down to G23, and a G35 down to G23. Love ‘em both. I used a 22 round magazine with blue painter’s tape wrapped around it to mark how much to sand away. Kept checking with a 23 magazine as I got close…

You are a craftsman. Now you have a G19 Long slide. That was a very impressive video.
Great video. You did the whole 9 I love it. Can’t wait to do this on a p80 build.
Awesome! Thank you!
The Glock 49 MOS is out for awhile now. It's a 19 long from the factory. I actually prefer the standard 19
Hated having to do all the shit to my Glock. I did it minus the chop. But fuck. Glad I got the Lego for adults not SIG P320!
I get bored and I like to tinker with stuff.
I want to do this same setup but reverse. Since I already have a G23 I want to get a custom barrel and then I can slap a G35 slide on it.

Looks good
Thanks!
Thanks for making this
Any time. Please think about subscribing if you like my content. Have a great day!
Is there a way to start the cut if you don't have a 19 to use as a guide?
