As an indonesian, i prefer flight from Amsterdam to jakarta with emirates, etihad or qatar. Be honest garuda never changed. Still old tv and old entertainment.
Yes i can understand that, the ife is more updated with emirates, qatar and etihad for sure and the flights are great! Garuda is lacking behind i would say. But the fact that you would be at ur destination with 13 hours without any stop is well composated in that case. That’s why i love to fly with Garuda. It just gets me to my destination faster than ever. I always have to fly to Surabaya after my long-haul flights. And giving some extra space time for my transfer so i wont miss any connection flight in Jakarta if the plane got delayed from AMS. I flew with emirates twice and had lay over in dubai for 4+ hours, it is nice to stretch ur legs but again more waiting time hehehe. I flew with Garuda, Lufthansa, Malaysia airlines, Emirates, China airlines and KLM (either from AMS or from CGK) before MH17 got down i always flew Malaysia and for me back than was great (i was very young still). Lufthansa was great too but long waiting time in Munich 10 hours!!!. Emirates was good! China airlines was cheapest but 2 layovers. KLM is expensive but also good. Garuda is the fastest in that case. Overall all routes were good and eventually it depends on the pricings and wether u have all the time to have at least 2 days or more for just from AMS to CGK. My next flight in january 2024 will be with Turkish Airlines to CGK so im excited to try Turkish airlines out for the first time and i will make again a video about that one!! ✈️
For me, i dont realy care about IFE, because at the end we just going to sleep, talking each other, eating, watching map on IFE… just like that. For entertainment i just easily bring my own ipad, phone, rog ally or others, with my favorite movie list rather than searching in IFE…. 12 hour directions flight is the most important than futuristic IFE
For flight critic's, GA perhaps not one of the best in International route. But for me as an Indonesian, I feel like home every time I flew with GA. FA Batik clothes, Indonesian food, Indonesian hospitality and comfort. And honestly, I can see GA is improving their services day after day for their precious customers internationally.

I'm Australian, Indonesian speaking, some years ago my wife and I returned from Jakarta to Perth with Garuda. It was a very good flight, we like Garuda.
Nice direct flight. Saya terbang dengan pesawat yang sama waktu bulan juni lalu. Untuk penerbangan dan pelayanan Garuda, tidak ada masalah sama sekali. Top service and on time! . Hanya saja waktu itu di Amsterdam Schipol saat itu juga lebih sibuk dan padat karena masa liburan musim panas, jadi antriannya sangat panjang. Tapi biar begitu jalurnya tetap berjalan walau tersendat dan juga lumayan cepat. Sebagai pemakai paspor asing, sebelumnya saya sudah mengurus E-VOA (elecronic visa on arrival) untuk Indonesia secara online. Tapi sampai tiba di Jakarta, tetap saja harus mengantri lebih dari satu jam di Imigrasi. Karena dari banyaknya counter yang tersedia, pagi itu yang buka untuk menlayani pemegang paspor asing hanya terbatas saja dan antriannya juga sangat padat. Sedangkan untuk paspor Indonesia lebih banyak yang buka, bahkan banyak yang kosong, tidak ada antrian sama sekali. Mungkin ini juga previlege bagi pemegang paspor Indonesia.

When I flew with Turkish Airlines when I was younger (In the 2000s-early 2010s) there wasn't a in flight system at all. A movie was played for everyone and you could listen to the radio.

Ik gebruik de Dji Action 3 camera! Is heerlijk compact en goede stabilizatie zoals je merkte op de video tijdens het landen! Je kan zowel “vloggen” als normaal filmen/fotos maken. Het is net een GoPro eigenlijk. Het heeft een kleine schermpje aan de achterkant waardoor je jezelf kunt zien tijdens “vloggen”. En voor zijde heeft een grotere scherm allebei is touchscreen! Je kan er een microfoon aansluiten (usb-c type) hem opladen met een powerbank (ook via de usb-c type) en eventueel apart de batterij opladen met een oplader voor het batterij. Micro-sd kaart heeft die wel nodig! Stel gerust meer vragen hoor! 😊

I've seen Garuda Indonesia airlines at European airport but the planes are different, it has a blue color and the plane is bigger like the United States presidential plane.
The "blue color" you mentioned, most likely the default GA livery. The one in the video was painted in "modified" retro GA livery... the one was being used when i was still a little boy... like 30 ish years ago. The Indonesian president used that particular aircraft when needed. GA hasn't been flying Boeing 747 for quite some time now. Yes... the one you said like the US presidential plane. As far as i know, they only fly Boeing 777-300ER for long hauls to EU. Not sure if they fly the Airbus A330 there too.

This particular aircraft is also used for Indonesian VVIP Government flight(s), e. g for mr. President's flight (Indonesia 1),that's why it's livery is different than normal Garuda Indonesia livery, representing Republic of Indonesia
For your info sice end of August GA flight to AMS wear normal livery not only use PK-GIG like in this video. I personaly like GA wear normal livery or SkyTeam livery because made me as Indonesian proud not president aircraft like this it look weird somehow to being honest for me
again the retro livery it's been a while that garuda use the same aircraft with that retro for it's only EU flight to Amsterdam but by the way since the covid 19 crisis the daily flight that garuda has proposed before the covid 19 has been reduced by only 2 weekly flight so one aircraft is enough
That's not a retro livery. Actually the aircraft was used by Indonesian president several times for government trip to another country that could flying for long distance duration. So, GA gave one of their aircraft. GA often to use that aircraft for AMS-CGK flight because currently GA only has two B777 aircraft with 3 class configuration. That livery of the aircraft is one of the two

Menurutku yang membuat Garuda mahal adalah kamu tidak perlu singgah ke tempat lain karena langsung menuju tujuan akhirnya. semua penerbangan murah dari AMS ke CGK memiliki setidaknya 1-2 singgah di suatu tempat. Dan mungkin untuk penerbangan domestik garuda lebih ramah?

Hahaha i know it is not the freshest place to be in! But some other people would like to know in advance how the toilets are in the aircraft before flying with the aircraft. If they saw the toilets were very very very dirty on my video, they can be prepared for it themselves hehehe

The business class was for sure full, even the premium economy class, the standard economy class was i believe almost full (few seats were still available)😁

It is indeed Garuda but why is the plane's exterior identified as Republica Indonesia? I see no reference to Garuda until you are inside? Best moment is the hapless woman with the shoulder bag as she wanders obvious to the face it is slammed into other passengers faces... Happens all the time!
This particular aircraft is also used for Indonesian VVIP Government flight(s), e. g for mr. President's flight (Indonesia 1),that's why it's livery is different than normal Garuda Indonesia livery, representing Republic of Indonesia
The tail fin does show Garuda, in semi-retro style - only get a glimpse of it.

For your info sice end of August GA flight to AMS wear normal livery not only use PK-GIG like in this video. I personaly like GA wear normal livery or SkyTeam livery because made me as Indonesian proud not president aircraft like this it look weird somehow to being honest for me
yeah this is Garuda with its old livery edition with the name "Garuda Indonesia vintage flight experience"
again the retro livery it's been a while that garuda use the same aircraft with that retro for it's only EU flight to Amsterdam but by the way since the covid 19 crisis the daily flight that garuda has proposed before the covid 19 has been reduced by only 2 weekly flight so one aircraft is enough

That's not a retro livery. Actually the aircraft was used by Indonesian president several times for government trip to another country that could flying for long distance duration. So, GA gave one of their aircraft. GA often to use that aircraft for AMS-CGK flight because currently GA only has two B777 aircraft with 3 class configuration. That livery of the aircraft is one of the two

orang tua saya juga sering memilih perusahaan lain karena harganya. Kami lebih suka terbang dengan Garuda (karena langsung) tapi terkadang biayanya tidak terjangkau jika berangkat dengan beberapa orang 😟

@@pejuangsedekah3420 sebenarnya tidak ada yang kurang dari pelayanannya. Menurutku yang membuat Garuda mahal adalah kamu tidak perlu singgah ke tempat lain karena langsung menuju tujuan akhirnya. semua penerbangan murah dari AMS ke CGK memiliki setidaknya 1-2 singgah di suatu tempat. Dan mungkin untuk penerbangan domestik garuda lebih ramah?

Indeed very good however, did you know you made flight film in the worst germs & dirtiest area ? Why filiming in the toilet 🚽 for ? OMG that was the worst and dirtiest place in the aircraft? Don’t you know that ?
Hahaha i know it is not the freshest place to be in! But some other people would like to know in advance how the toilets are in the aircraft before flying with the aircraft. If they saw the toilets were very very very dirty on my video, they can be prepared for it themselves hehehe
