I’d say he’s goofy and it would be much easier to pivot off his left leg to get his right leg out in front early. Requires less effort to pivot/start that way rather than having to leap on to the foil which is moving away from you.
The colder water is, the clearer it is. At least, that's what I've noticed in my travels over 59 years. The clearest water I've ever seen WHILE being warm was Algarve Portugal. But the water was also surprisingly hard. The softest water I've ever felt was at the bottom of a waterfall in Puerto Rico.
I tried this yesterday...I hurt my leg, I'm ok though. It's not as easy as it looks. It's also quite dangerous. The foil is super sharp. This fellow is as smooth in real life as Clint Eastwood pretends to be in the movies. Merci mon Ami!
hurt how? because it's sharp? or hurt like sore because you didn't stretch the related muscles before physical exertion?...if the former you have my pity,if the latter I'm laughing because everyone should know that by grade school.
@battousai555 but everyone who has exercised knows those studies are wrong. Stretching increases mobility over time when done regularly which obviously helps you be injured less
@@lucastroesh149We need to clarify what "it" is. The "it" I am refering to is: being able to foil this proficiently. Who could possibly do this without having already spent many hours on foil? 7° thats pretty cold It looks like a beautiful it looks 30°. Its funny how clear skys and a little sunshine and you could never tell what the temperature is.
You would need to take some breaks, but possible. I think the core issue is that they are expensive and anyone that could afford one would probably find a different easier way to Miami. Just watched a video of a young guy and his friend doing it unassisted from Molokai to Oahu, which is almost 50 miles and much choppier more difficult water.

As a right handed guy, I also jump with my right leg and have more power on that side. I’d definitely pump with that leg too. Goofy for the win! 🎉
