I saw this and can say it was for the most part a masterpiece. The multiple dimensional theory, reincarnation with the General and his humongous schnoz, and the Phoenix make this a hidden gem. My favorite was the wolf mayor and the religious themes throughout. Yeah I’ll agree the last two episode dragged on and Rock seemed like a Speed Racer rival but considering the manga was unfinished it’s passable.

I bought this when I lived in San Fransisco in 2009, sadly the dvd didn't work and I had to return it. I read the manga and thought it was amazing how it jumped from past to future.
If you live in Mexico this series is been broadcasted in some local open TV channels. Check out “Japón en la TV” Facebook page for some japanese anime and shows that Japan Foundation broadcasts in Mexico and Hispanic America countries.
@@gondwanaman9362 I think there were a few stories in the series that didn't get animated for this anime, though they might have gotten solo adaptations. Still ne cool to see it translated with modern animation
