- Bobby Holland Hanton is a stuntman from England who has stunt doubled for Daniel Craig, Jake Gyllenhall, and all of the "Chrises". He's done stunt work for "Quantum of Solace", "Wonder Woman", and so many more. Hanton has to rehearse his wild stunts many times since some acts can feel like being "fired out of a cannon". He's even been set on fire for "Game of Thrones"! At the end, the most important part of being a stuntperson is to emulate the actor's movements, so the audience can't differentiate the actions of the main actor and stuntperson.

Stunt doubles have such dangerous jobs and important roles in movies today. They deserve more credit!

I think the stunt women have it hardest. They have to wear skimpy outfits that bare their skin and then go through those stunts without much protection. I love that stunt woman from Xena: Warrior Princess and Wonder Woman TV show from decades ago. Both made it look good on low budget TV wearing barely anything for protection.

Stunt jobs are only ever present in action genres. Since it's doesn't cover the entirety of the film industry, it's not something looked at.
Oscar is for acting only...stunt is indeed should be recognized but in a different kind of awards...n even Jackie Chan didn't win an Oscar easily...

Hahf Inc. there are number of stunt actors turned into actors on screen. One prominent actor I can remember is Donnie Yen. He's a stunt performer earlier in entertainment industry before taking on role on a big league movie like Ip Man and Rogue One. It's not just Donnie Yen only, most East Asian actors like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee are stunt performers.
But Kevin L is right. Acting and doing stunts together are extremely difficult to do. Well, unless if you're crazy like Tom Cruise, you're good to go.

I think he's way better off doing stunts because that's where he outshines competitors. Producers and directors wouldn't fight over him as a regular actor as they do over him now.

I really like stuntmen over actors cause they seem so humbled with almost just as much importance to movies.
Do you know what I really hate... is when the celebs talk, they don't mention these guys anywhere like they don't even exist whereas these guys are making the movies enjoyable. Hope they get what they deserve, their own Oscar category.

These people need as much praise as the actors themselves.
It's a literal crime that stunt men/women, coordinators, choreographers and the rest of the stunt crew are not given the recognition they deserve. As a huge fan of blockbuster action movies and superhero movies, I know that the true superheroes are the stuntment who perform the wild shit we see on screen. They work hard and risk their lives every day to entertain us fans. They deserve their own award in every major award show.

This remind me of the movie, the fall 2004 by tarsem singh, one of the most beautiful movie about stuntman suffered from permanent damage and so on. This guy is amazing!

Stuntmen need to get more recognition in the movie industry and the academy. They do so much that goes unnoticed I feel. Here they are portraying these actors who are getting paid millions for a role and they don’t get anything close to that. It’s 2018 what a shame.. these people are putting their lives at risk to get some of the shots needed for these movies.
