The skips you're referring to are not possible on current patch. Any% is run on old patch for this very reason. The reason I'm not doing wolf skip is because the fence skip is faster.
Nobody owns a world record. They only hold it. Beautiful run (double stagger Rom is wild). I'm glad it could be lowered. My 1852 has such a flawed wetnurse and shadows, it was not impossible to beat. I guess we'll see if anyone ever grinds the shard rng and seeks sub 1830. Again, great job!

i just finished bloodborne. so obviously the first thing i did was search up the world record speedrun and it felt weird to see you breezing past areas i spent hours in lol. this is so impressive tho nice!
Just finished the game last night for the first time and came to see what the Any% run was like. Amazing stuff. Also I literally only just now realized something about the game while watching this. There's a part near the end in Mergo's Loft where you can pull a lever that makes a giant brain mass with eyes that resembles a huge Brain Trust enemy come crashing down. I didn't realize until just now that that creature must be what's attacking you from a distance when you're heading towards the structure from the outside at 15:55.
@@sambonbon755 You can interact with it?! Darn, I figured there had to be more to it. I did go down the hole a little ways and got the Blood Rock or whatever was there. I wasn't sure if there was a way to go any deeper, but I was so close to the end of the game by that point I didn't want to spend a ton of time exploring.
@@jakubkowalczuk7134 I was pretty thorough in the earlier parts of the game, but stuff was getting so tough in the final areas that I stopped taking as many chances while exploring. But this is also the first time I've ever played a FromSoft game, so I was bound to miss stuff.

Bloodborne was my first Souls game. And i still remember playing at launch after my best friend got me into. My ass was stuck in Yarnham for over an hour until i finally beat the Cleric Beast. This guy decided to run around like a madman and end the nightmare in less the time ut takes for Domino's to deliver my pizza.

I never understood any % speedruns like after beating shadows make a new profile dying then going back to the old one I didnt get it but I'm impressed and with rom 🥳😧 just wow glad I was recommended this keep up the amazing work mate

@zanthais6989 The glitch was patched in 2015. You must own a copy of the disc from launch and be playing on the unpatched version of Bloodborne to perform the glitch.
I saw someone with another 19 minute run that took 1,000 attempts for it. I think it took this fine gentleman close to that range of hours, and man, does it look pretty in this showcase.
I've never watched or played Bloodborne before. This just happened to pop up in my feed. I was thoroughly enjoying the run until you ran past the babies crying, triggering my PTSD from my nights with my 3 month old baby girl, haha. Congratulations all the same 😂

I've been trying to speedrun Bloodborne by learning from this video and I can tell that skipping micolash' second phase has been a total pain in the ass for me
I’ve seen a lot of blood borne speed runs but the skip to the rom fight has me absolutely shook when did that skip get found and why does it work is it patch specific or did they really just make the trigger that big

The IGT on the character says 18:01 and the runtime was 20:03, so where do you get the actual IGT from? Is it reviewed by speedrun mods? Sorry for the question. Great run btw!
I have answered this question several times already. The two characters used in the run are combined final times to make the final time in the run. 18:01 + 00:48 = 18:49. The time on my splits is merely a tool for me to keep track of my pace. There is no way to track IGT on a console game without checking it on the main menu. Thank you for the ggs FrankerZ
It is not a warp of any kind. Rom's boss arena exists below the Byrgenwerth College, which we already know because we drop down there normally from the balcony upstairs. I performed a jump to get out of bounds, then dropped through a piece of geometry that has no collision directly into the boss arena.
Some people can be pretty annoying, but ultimately I can delete/block anyone who says anything I don't like or spams 25 comments without me responding, so it's really nbd. I posted this video to get verified on speedrun.com. I'm not here to clout chase or be a fabricated YT personality. Not interested.
There are no rules requiring that LiveSplit be used at all during speedruns for official submission. Additionally, there is no way to pause LiveSplit for a console game during loads as there is no way to integrate the program with the console. Thus, a modified RTA is used for the purpose of splits, but IGT is only time that matters for submission.

Yup indeed. And you can go down where it falls for a couple things, but to interact with it, you also need to go in another location.

Isn't the timer supposed to stop while the game is loading?
There are no rules requiring that LiveSplit be used at all during speedruns for official submission. Additionally, there is no way to pause LiveSplit for a console game during loads as there is no way to integrate the program with the console. Thus, a modified RTA is used for the purpose of splits, but IGT is only time that matters for submission.
