Why do you boil the potatoes first? I have never heard of that, what does it do, makes the fries better somehow? In the US, we just cut them, dry them a little and put in hot oil, comes out perfect all the time. You should do another Q and A, btw.

Carradee if you can get your hands on some walleye use that type of fish it's a fresh water fish much better than cod or snapper and I like your little tip no more burned fingers thanks and take care

Hi there, Darso. If you look your nearest shop or supermarket, look for club soda water, or even sparkling (fizzy/gassy) water will work instead of beer. 😃
The fish looks perfect and delicious Greg! The chips look spot on too. YUM! I would think greasy foods wouldn't be the best choice for a hangover, but then I've never had one so I really don't know. I've never been drunk in my life. 4 real. But the food looks great! TFS :))
