I kept finishing around 16:00 without this grenade jump trick, the par time is finally possible. How is anyone supposed to beat a 15:00 par time when 12 minutes are spent waiting.
For the later games apparently they set par times for speed runners not casuals, I'd say I'm somewhere in between and I'm not looking forward to trying to get them all, we'll give it a good ol' college try anyway I suppose

13:28 and that’s with 1 death as an elite swordsman was under regret when I killed him lol. Thanks man this missions been doing my in until I saw this.
So regarding 2:00 or so: I jumped to the other gondola and after a minute of fighting Covenant, the platform started turning invisible and visible and then I fell through/off and died. Y'know, fun times.
Louth, exactly yeah. Haha, I forgot to mention that part. With trial and error, I did finally get it, but I can’t remember what I did. It was almost like you do need to jump to the other platform and back again despite what the gentleman in the video describes. Saying it was a mistake of his to do so? I think that’s what finally ended up making it work.
Definitely have to jump back to the first platform after the two elites and drones spawn and then back to the second one again just like he did in the video
I solved this problem by hitting the switch (AFTER getting a checkpoint when the talking stops), then immediately returning to the previous gondola - killing all enemies that spawn on both gondolas from there. Then I returned to the second gondola, and all was good...and visible. 😅
for some reason the first gondala ride would just not work when the two gondolas meet, they'd turn invisible then when they started to move they'd throw me across the map, killing me instantly
I never understand how half of these was possible when some skulls like Sputnik wasn't in the game, there is short cuts and then there is out right using exploits (like catching the first gondola by spawning enemies in and jumping back) to have a chance. Shame the silly lifts take literally 80% of the par time alone.

It might be possible, just very close. I got within 15 seconds without the skip, it's just not worth the time trying without the skip due to all the downtime waiting. Most of the level is out of your hands.
I did this level in 14:02 it shows one the achievements page on halo mcc as 14:02/15:00 but shows achievement as not unlocked in the game and on the xbox one achievement page, any ideas anyone?
i managed to get a 15:19 without any grenade jumps or exploits ignoring literally every enemy i could. Seems impossible without abusing the map like this

This was my final level that I had to par time on Halo 2, the grenade jump skip in the beginning helped a lot

This par time is impossible without grenade jumping and i cant grenade jump to save my life :(
I just did it without realising you can do the first gondola skip. 14 minutes 58 seconds, no joke.

That skip in the beginning is great! That’s saves Baku time right there. Making the par is no problem using it.
