- In this video we showcase our High Volume "Plus" Cold Air Intake Duct for the 11th Gen Civic & 3rd Gen Integra.
Since initial development of our 11th Gen Civic / 3rd Gen Integra High Volume Intake System, we've had plans of adding a secondary intake duct. Today we are happy to announce and release our High Volume "Plus" Cold Air Intake Duct!
We understand that not everybody wants a "cold air intake" and not everyone wants to be limited with an air box ONLY option. Our modular design allows customers to modify or tailor their intake setup at anytime to suit their personal driving needs.
This kit transforms our standard High Volume Intake System into a true cold air intake by introducing cool air through the inner fender liner, which increases airflow and lowers intake air temperatures. This design also increases intake system efficiency when driving in low pressure (drafting) zones. The HDPE rotomolded duct also helps to reduce heat-soak.

So what's the difference between this system and a Short Ram Intake with a conical filter? I have a 22 civic with a turbo and was looking at getting it a short ram when I came across this. I get that this addition makes it a cold air intake but what's the difference in performance and sound?
@@r37r0v1ru5 Typically short ram intakes are prone to heat-soak because the filter is sucking in hot, air trapped inside of the engine bay. Our HVI system utilizes a XDPE rotomolded air box to shield the filter from hot air. The HVI system also retains use of the factory air guides/seals in combination with our larger high volume air duct to increase airflow and efficiency. The lower duct (which this video is showing), adds a secondary point of airflow, which again increases airflow volume and promotes cold air due to its location. Also, our intake systems offer the best drivability, safety, performance and efficiency due to our MAF Housings designs. Feel free to check out our website and blog for more info.
The 2022 Civic SI installation will be the same access through the fender? The only thing missing is detailed instructions to…besides that looks good.
Holy shit!!!! That sounds freaking badass!!!!! I just installed your intake for the 22 civic 1.5 now I know what I wanna do next lol
Don't forget your safety gear! I was sweating at 1:58 😅 Good stuff though!!
Santa is bringing my 2022 Civic Si soon…shipped today 🎉🚘🚀
Great job guys! Looking forward to doing this upgrade. Keep up the great work! 💪
I have a question. I have the 2.0 high volume intake, I don't see a duct specifically for this version. does the 1.5 duct fit?
I don’t need to do a resonator delete to be able to add the duct, right?
does this void warranty?
Do you have to have the resonator delete kit to correctly put the plus duct in correctly?
It's recommended!
Will water get in there? It rains a lot where I’m at.
It rains a ton here in Southwest Pennsylvania too! We've been using cold air intakes for years (look at our 10th Gen Civic Cobra CAI) and have never had an issue.
Why would anyone NOT want a cold air intake? Doesn’t colder intake air temps = increased HP and performance?
Why doesn't it come with the hole pre-drilled? Lol Seems like an unnecessary step. Hard pass!
Exactly my thoughts. Since the HVIs aren't shipping yet, can we get this packaged with it for the extra $50 and have the hole pre drilled. I don't want to go buy the attachment to use one time in my life.
Because not everybody wants a "cold air intake" and some folks are afraid of hydrolock for whatever reason. This gives customers the option to have it either way.
@@PRLMotorsports which makes sense, but if we order this and the HVI hasn't shipped yet, can we ask for it to be drilled?

I agree. The idea of having to drill a 3 inch hole in my brand new intake, just doesn't sit well with me.

Tbh, the proper way to drill this type of hole would be to use a drill press, with a clamping device to hold the part in place. Using your left arm to hold it down, while using your right arm to drill, is not ideal, nor is it really safe.
