💯 I still have Tab S8u and am very happy with it. I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon. These are very good points you made on this. I would definitely recommend this tablet considering the S8u is still a beast, so hell yeah, on the S9u 👍
I am a user of S8U and currently having problem with the charging of it. Sometimes charging the device is ok but sometimes I cannot charge the device. Any advise ?
@TITLE11005 if you're using it as a laptop replacement you should need more ports like for charging while using a usb hub, thumb drive, or wired headphones for example. Two is the minimum. There are already plenty of tablets that have two usb c ports
@@netnomad47 I'm pretty sure the reason it only has 1 port is for structural strength reasons as for large "thin" tablets the port is almost always going to be the first point of structural failure if the chassis is subjected to any significant stress
what i love the samsung tablets is that i can use it as second screen for my work as we use windows. Navigating with spen is much easier as it allows you to use it fully than the apple pencil.
My Tab S7+ is my everyday device and am on Dex sometimes. It still works great but software update is short. It is released in 2022 and already it has its final OS version which is not acceptable. Before I upgrade, I will wait for Samsung to announce similar software support like their Phone which is 7 year or at least 5 years of support. All I can say is if anyone likes to be more productive and get done with their stuff and spend more time with family, One UI it is.
I've had it for six months and it's absolutely amazing. It definitely replaces any laptop, unless you're a programmer or a very advanced PC user. There's so many things you can do with it. Samsung Notes is truly a wonder. The Spen is just great. Just great. The picture quality is just amazing. Amazing.
Had an iPad since 2018 (the 6th gen model) never really used it. Played a few games on it, ended up using my phone for videos as the iPads lcd display was horrible to look at. Just recently got the s9. I use it everyday! Movies, emulators, pc streaming! Amazing tablet! Hooked up some mobapad joycons and I have a supersized oled switch

Hi Alex, You know there are 3 book covers from Samsung and a smaller keyboard that actually works on your lap. I am actually posting this comment on a non flat surface using the slim cover. I sold my mac book pro m1 13 inch laptop. This tablet has replaced my laptop. sure, I have super duper Windows desktop and an Imac as workstations. a gaming windows laptop for small mobile video streaming jobs, but Samsung Galaxy Tab s9 ultra is my main device. DEX is awesome. One thing you didn't mention much is the sound. speakers on this thing are awesome. the sound is rich and pleasing. best I have ever experienced on a mobile device including laptops... cheers
💯 congrats. I traded my iPad Pro M2 in for a decent trade-in price on th Tab Ultra a year ago and have not regretted it since. I understand corporate iPad use because change is difficult for many, and simple is easier. But with simple comes lack of functionality, and i feel the future in my hands with the Tab Ultra. I still have to help a friend of mine with his iPad Pro at times, and it feels so much like a childs toy when i touch it. Ultra keeps getting better, and Definitely no regrets for me.
I have the Ultra and the iPad Pro M1, and I am the opposite; I much prefer the iPad, and I had to do some detective work to find where I left my Tab S8 Ultra as I hadn't used it for a while! I charged it up, but I am still using the iPad. I am trying to understand why you say the iPad is a "child's toy", as it has better and more varied apps, and with Stage Manager, you even have DeX. For file management, I use the cloud. Also, as tablets can last 7+ years, it is disappointing that my Tab S8 Ultra has only two more OS updates, whereas the iPad will get another 4-5 despite being older! And, of course, the M1 will still be the best in another 5 years due to its much more powerful chip.

Hey there, i have a Tab S9 Ultra my self. There is a native funtion in the OneUI System called "second Screen". With this, u can easily use this as a second Monitor without any Cables. U Just need Win 10/11 Device!
I'm a big fan of Samsung, and indeed this Tab S9 Ultra (like the whole S9 range) is great, but, if the Samsung Tab S10 doesn't have Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite, I think it will be the 1st year that I'm going to recommend the future iPad Pro M3 and the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 instead of the Galaxy Tab S10. 🙏🏽
I've been using these as laptop replacements since the Galaxy Tab S2. No, it can't do everything a laptop with a desktop OS can, but it's close enough for most things. And I personally prefer the Plus form factor over the Ultra. It just fits in the hand better for long reading sessions on the couch. The Ultra seems like more of a tabletop device.
I got this a few months ago absolutely brilliant for watching content ive also got a 12.9 ipad pro M1 and the display on the Samsung tab s9 ultra is stunning i was worried it wouldn't be as good as the mini led on the ipad but it definitely is 💯 great video thanks

Thanks for the review. After wqtching all the YTs on the S10U, I won a bid on a new, sealed S9U on Ebay for $780 US. I bought an antiglare glass screen protector. Hopefully the S11U will be significantly better, with 5G and 2 C ports. I found the background music distracting. Perhaps turn down tge volume a bit.
I wanted to buy the magnetic stand for the ultra but read mixed reviews regarding how magnetic stands impact screens? Maybe you have some thoughts on that given your experience regarding tech. Thanks!
With the apps and game apps ive utilized over the years, I've noticed they prioritize Android over ios. Ios updates usually come later, and usually have more problems. The discord servers are constantly full of these complaints from ios users on various games.
Congratualtions you hit 100K faster than most tech reviewers. I remember how long it took some of the big names to reach 100K it was years. The space has big growth potential if you have high production values and are not a fanyboy. That's what the two big reviewers seemed to have figured out which I was folllowing when they were little high school and college kids posting reviews 😅 Now they get named personally by Tim Apple in iphone presentations. Not the one who bent the phone though....😂😂😂 I have been driving this S9 Ultra daily with my LuLulook stand and razr Orochi V2 mouse. I set up a second 15" OLED flat display next to it that I scored cheap because it's no touch and only 1080 HD. It's bascially a tablet with no guts. But the image quality is legit absolutely IDENTICAL to the S9 Ultra display when viewing 1080 HD content. Even the tiny color variations are the same on yellows and oranges that I thought I could only get on the top displays. If you don't need touch for second display it's great for running RUclips all day. I just connect the two displays with Dex and a type C hub and a micro HDMI to USC C cable port on the second disolay. No lag whatsoever. I added a backlit Apple clone keyboard. I still have the S8 Ultra that I use just for media consumption with keyboard cover. I immediately got rid of the new Dex by long pressing the Dex icon on the pull down with wifi, Bluetooth and GPS. It reverts back to old Dex. The biggest difference for me S9 vs S8 Tab Ultras is that the speed is noticeably snappier. I have the 512 MB version after a free upgrade by Samsung. For a multitasking experience like Dex it's worth going with that upgrade. And the cool thing about Dex is that you can keep using old Samsung phones. I have my old Note 9 from 2018 (yes six years ago!) also paired to my budget 37" Samsung 1080 HD M5 monitor for Dex using a type C hub directly behind my Tab S9 Ultra. It's great for running TradingView stock charts during the market hours on a huge screen. My 2021 Fold 3 is still kicking and links my WhatsApp messaging in real time with my S9 Ultra Tablet so I don't miss any messages even if the phone is behind the sofa somewhere😅. The cool thing is that I don't have to upgrade to the latest and greatest thing every year and since the prices fall drastically after a year it's good not to have to be jumping for every new thing. I'm tempted to try the OnePlus tablet if the prices drop big. I try not to buy anything unless I can sell it close to the purchase price after the return window closes.

Tablets are supposed to be used handheld and for stylus to include mobility. I have a Galaxy Tab S9+ that I find a bit cumbersome to hold sometimes and how much more would it have been if I chose the S9 Ultra. Hence, gigantic tablets defeat the real purpose of what a tablet should be - handy for handholding purposes.
it is my first time seeing an attachable paper cover. it is really amazing, I like the feeling of them when writing but when you are watching Netflix or something those white dots are disturbing and make me pull it out and throw it.
Excellent and fair video. No device is perfect but it suits your needs. I'm trying to see whether the base is enough for me or go for the plus model. Problem is I want to travel a lot with it and the plus just feels a tad big to bring around.
I'm looking for the next Gen tab S10, currently I using S7+. Note is my priority, so I have spend time on the Ipad but the navtive note in Apple useless compared to the SS Note, rich feature and the latest has AI feature included in SS NOte. That why I'm waiting S10 w Snapdragon 8 gen 4 more GPU power.
💯 I have been wanting to get it and debating. I have a 2021 ipad pro and I know I don't really need to upgrade yet, but comparing it to the s6 tab I had before Ipad, I enjoyed it more, I ended up giving it to my father as a gift, and I have been debating for few years to switch back.
I know it can be tricky, especially if you have an iPhone too, but from a functionality perspective, the Tab is hard to beat. I do miss some iPad apps like Procreate and Ulysses but honestly, not enough to make me grab the iPad instead. I think the iPad can be great for entertainment, but if I want to do work, the Tab is unbeatable right now
@@AlexGTech I'm a 2 phone person and I have the s24 ultra. It's not a big issue switching between ecosystem. I just know for my use the tab would make more sense. I literally only use the iPad for watching movies and drawing. But I miss the full fledged use of dex mode and etc when I'm on the go
You can change the DEX setting to use classic DEX. the classic DEX is using the infamous desktop UI. I also hate the new DEX UI. I want to ask, what is the minimum external monitor resolution for samsung DEX. I don't want it to look bad on the external monitor, so i haven't bought a monitor yet
The bundles are awesome! I got free keyboard and discounted watch/buds. The free 1 year Lumafusion really made it interesting for me, it's pretty awesome for very quick video edits. 😅

I've got the S8 Ultra, nearly as good. But both are great. You can't snap the magic keyboard off and go fully tablet. Both have advantages and problems.
I considered one some weeks back when a series of promotions lined up. Ended up getting a Uperfect X14 Pro laptop dock for use with my Fold 5 instead. Not regretting it. Samsung needs to start implementing USB-C alt-DP input on their tablets to make those AMOLED scrreens worth investing in as an accessory for other devices on top of being a tablet.
Right now i have the tab s8. i'm probably going to get this tablet but when i go to buy it it's out of stock so can't ship it to my area. When it is available i'll probably get it. I use DEX on my S8 and love using it for a desktop like experience. Now and then i put it on tablet mode.

The slim book keyboard is a great option and easy to move to write mode, you loss the mouse pad thou, Apple Magic Keyboard great but never use the pen because have to take it out of the case
Hey Alex, love the content. About the spen latency, do you think they're using an inferior version on the tab as compared to the Galaxy phones. Cuz the spens on the phone Galaxy S Ultra series has a latency of 2.8ms, which is significantly faster than the apple pencil
I think the keyboard cover is the biggest weakness. I have a Lenovo tab with the same design and i don't get it.. you really need a flat and solid surface. I would gladly buy a more expensive edition, especially for desktop mode
Can you download software on the tab? I am an engineer and id love to have a tablet that i can use fusion 360 AND download my software that runs my 3d printer.

However, i have a couple of questions if you don't mind My daily needs are just two: work & gaming, and i have my windows laptop for work and ipad pro 2nd gen for gaming My work is translating Excel files which is done by just typing translated text beside the original, no need for all the Microsoft excel features, then check spelling for typos. Gaming: i play pubg mobile on 120 frames 4-5 hours daily while screen recording, then move the video to my laptop for editing, then post on RUclips. Can this tab do these things smoothly? Because if it can, then i no longer need the laptop nor the ipad and can just get one, portable device instead along with my Samsung s23. I've always been an android user and just bought the ipad pro because i wanted a good gaming device for pubg and it was the best, but i didn't enjoy Apple software and limitations. So, can this tab use Microsoft excel ( and does Microsoft excel have a free version for android for that matter) for my work? And can i game on it on 120 frames while connecting a hub c hub for the headphones and charging while gaming? First time time I've ever disagreed with you. I hated the magic keyboard. I returned it and got the Logitech Combo Touch . The magic keyboard felt too limiting because of the ommision of function keys and the angles at which you could adjust the display. It's only saving grace was that it was lapable and the charging port. but most the time, I kept it on a flat surface. That being said, I absolutely love your channel and how premium your content is. It always make me happy when I see you've uploaded another video! 💯

I am still using Samsung S7 tablet and it has started to go down in performance due Samsung exynos chip. My next buy will not be a tablet but a foldable smartphone
Yes I bought that when it came out and it was amazing with the stylus and good battery life. Still a full charge last me a week but the app crashes are happening quite often
I was looking at the magnetic Lululock stand for my S9 Ultra but readily saw that it was designed for the S8 Ultra. I read that it doesn't fit properly because of the cameras. Do you have any issues with that?
It's only a tiny mismatch but works ok. You just need to be a bit careful when putting it on. As I mentioned they have a new version now, for the S9 Ultra

There is a native funtion in the OneUI System called "second Screen". With this, u can easily use this as a second Monitor without any Cables. U Just need Win 10/11 Device!

I'm a big fan of Samsung, and indeed this Tab S9 Ultra (like the whole S9 range) is great, but, if the Samsung Tab S10 doesn't have Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite, I think it will be the 1st year that I'm going to recommend the future iPad Pro M3 and the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 instead of the Galaxy Tab S10.

I've been using these as laptop replacements since the Galaxy Tab S2. No, it can't do everything a laptop with a desktop OS can, but it's close enough for most things.
And I personally prefer the Plus form factor over the Ultra. It just fits in the hand better for long reading sessions on the couch. The Ultra seems like more of a tabletop device.

Thanks for the review. After wqtching all the YTs on the S10U, I won a bid on a new, sealed S9U on Ebay for $780 US. I bought an antiglare glass screen protector. Hopefully the S11U will be significantly better, with 5G and 2 C ports. I found the background music distracting. Perhaps turn down tge volume a bit.

With the apps and game apps ive utilized over the years, I've noticed they prioritize Android over ios. Ios updates usually come later, and usually have more problems. The discord servers are constantly full of these complaints from ios users on various games.

Congratualtions you hit 100K faster than most tech reviewers. I remember how long it took some of the big names to reach 100K it was years. The space has big growth potential if you have high production values and are not a fanyboy. That's what the two big reviewers seemed to have figured out which I was folllowing when they were little high school and college kids posting reviews 😅 Now they get named personally by Tim Apple in iphone presentations. Not the one who bent the phone though....😂😂😂
I have been driving this S9 Ultra daily with my LuLulook stand and razr Orochi V2 mouse. I set up a second 15" OLED flat display next to it that I scored cheap because it's no touch and only 1080 HD. It's bascially a tablet with no guts. But the image quality is legit absolutely IDENTICAL to the S9 Ultra display when viewing 1080 HD content. Even the tiny color variations are the same on yellows and oranges that I thought I could only get on the top displays. If you don't need touch for second display it's great for running RUclips all day. I just connect the two displays with Dex and a type C hub and a micro HDMI to USC C cable port on the second disolay. No lag whatsoever. I added a backlit Apple clone keyboard. I still have the S8 Ultra that I use just for media consumption with keyboard cover. I immediately got rid of the new Dex by long pressing the Dex icon on the pull down with wifi, Bluetooth and GPS. It reverts back to old Dex.
The biggest difference for me S9 vs S8 Tab Ultras is that the speed is noticeably snappier. I have the 512 MB version after a free upgrade by Samsung. For a multitasking experience like Dex it's worth going with that upgrade. And the cool thing about Dex is that you can keep using old Samsung phones. I have my old Note 9 from 2018 (yes six years ago!) also paired to my budget 37" Samsung 1080 HD M5 monitor for Dex using a type C hub directly behind my Tab S9 Ultra. It's great for running TradingView stock charts during the market hours on a huge screen.
My 2021 Fold 3 is still kicking and links my WhatsApp messaging in real time with my S9 Ultra Tablet so I don't miss any messages even if the phone is behind the sofa somewhere😅. The cool thing is that I don't have to upgrade to the latest and greatest thing every year and since the prices fall drastically after a year it's good not to have to be jumping for every new thing. I'm tempted to try the OnePlus tablet if the prices drop big. I try not to buy anything unless I can sell it close to the purchase price after the return window closes.

Tablets are supposed to be used handheld and for stylus to include mobility. I have a Galaxy Tab S9+ that I find a bit cumbersome to hold sometimes and how much more would it have been if I chose the S9 Ultra. Hence, gigantic tablets defeat the real purpose of what a tablet should be - handy for handholding purposes.
it is my first time seeing an attachable paper cover. it is really amazing, I like the feeling of them when writing but when you are watching Netflix or something those white dots are disturbing and make me pull it out and throw it.

Excellent and fair video. No device is perfect but it suits your needs. I'm trying to see whether the base is enough for me or go for the plus model. Problem is I want to travel a lot with it and the plus just feels a tad big to bring around.
I'm looking for the next Gen tab S10, currently I using S7+.
Note is my priority, so I have spend time on the Ipad but the navtive note in Apple useless compared to the SS Note, rich feature and the latest has AI feature included in SS NOte.
That why I'm waiting S10 w Snapdragon 8 gen 4 more GPU power.
💯 I have been wanting to get it and debating. I have a 2021 ipad pro and I know I don't really need to upgrade yet, but comparing it to the s6 tab I had before Ipad, I enjoyed it more, I ended up giving it to my father as a gift, and I have been debating for few years to switch back.
I know it can be tricky, especially if you have an iPhone too, but from a functionality perspective, the Tab is hard to beat. I do miss some iPad apps like Procreate and Ulysses but honestly, not enough to make me grab the iPad instead. I think the iPad can be great for entertainment, but if I want to do work, the Tab is unbeatable right now
@@AlexGTech I'm a 2 phone person and I have the s24 ultra. It's not a big issue switching between ecosystem. I just know for my use the tab would make more sense. I literally only use the iPad for watching movies and drawing. But I miss the full fledged use of dex mode and etc when I'm on the go

You can change the DEX setting to use classic DEX. the classic DEX is using the infamous desktop UI.
I also hate the new DEX UI.
I want to ask, what is the minimum external monitor resolution for samsung DEX. I don't want it to look bad on the external monitor, so i haven't bought a monitor yet

Considering Galaxy s9 ultra or the 9 plus or even the ipad pro. Which would be overall better for usability for lightroom and photo editing with light web browsing and media consumption?
The aspect ratio on the tab is better for media consumption, but I got no clue for photo editing
I've got the S8 Ultra, nearly as good. But both are great. You can't snap the magic keyboard off and go fully tablet. Both have advantages and problems.

I considered one some weeks back when a series of promotions lined up. Ended up getting a Uperfect X14 Pro laptop dock for use with my Fold 5 instead. Not regretting it. Samsung needs to start implementing USB-C alt-DP input on their tablets to make those AMOLED scrreens worth investing in as an accessory for other devices on top of being a tablet.

Right now i have the tab s8. i'm probably going to get this tablet but when i go to buy it it's out of stock so can't ship it to my area. When it is available i'll probably get it. I use DEX on my S8 and love using it for a desktop like experience. Now and then i put it on tablet mode.

The slim book keyboard is a great option and easy to move to write mode, you loss the mouse pad thou, Apple Magic Keyboard great but never use the pen because have to take it out of the case

About the spen latency, do you think they're using an inferior version on the tab as compared to the Galaxy phones. Cuz the spens on the phone Galaxy S Ultra series has a latency of 2.8ms, which is significantly faster than the apple pencil
I think the keyboard cover is the biggest weakness. I have a Lenovo tab with the same design and i don't get it.. you really need a flat and solid surface. I would gladly buy a more expensive edition, especially for desktop mode

Hi Guys, any ideas if you could have to choose between the Tab S9 ultra and the Samsung Galaxy book 4 ultra 360. Tab S9 can be a laptop and the Galaxy book 4 360 can be tablet form too.

I'm in love with this tab. However, i have a couple of questions if you don't mind
My daily needs are just two: work & gaming, and i have my windows laptop for work and ipad pro 2nd gen for gaming
My work is translating Excel files which is done by just typing translated text beside the original, no need for all the Microsoft excel features, then check spelling for typos.
Gaming: i play pubg mobile on 120 frames 4-5 hours daily while screen recording, then move the video to my laptop for editing, then post on RUclips.
Can this tab do these things smoothly? Because if it can, then i no longer need the laptop nor the ipad and can just get one, portable device instead along with my Samsung s23. I've always been an android user and just bought the ipad pro because i wanted a good gaming device for pubg and it was the best, but i didn't enjoy Apple software and limitations.
So, can this tab use Microsoft excel ( and does Microsoft excel have a free version for android for that matter) for my work? And can i game on it on 120 frames while connecting a hub c hub for the headphones and charging while gaming?
I know this was a very long comment, but if it'll do all these, then I'll be selling two devices and buy just the one.

I use that sometimes myself, but I use the Office365 version. It does everything the Pc version does but it's not exactly the same. Will keep you posted on that game recording question!

What's the monitor you are using?
First time time I've ever disagreed with you. I hated the magic keyboard. I returned it and got the Logitech Combo Touch . The magic keyboard felt too limiting because of the ommision of function keys and the angles at which you could adjust the display. It's only saving grace was that it was lapable and the charging port. but most the time, I kept it on a flat surface.
That being said, I absolutely love your channel and how premium your content is. It always make me happy when I see you've uploaded another video! 💯

I am still using Samsung S7 tablet and it has started to go down in performance due Samsung exynos chip. My next buy will not be a tablet but a foldable smartphone
That S7 was the first tablet from Samsung I regretted NOT buying! But glad I tried the S8U. Love it

Yes I bought that when it came out and it was amazing with the stylus and good battery life. Still a full charge last me a week but the app crashes are happening quite often

Is the refresh rate set to the highest when using the S-pen?
I always set it to the highest possible, but not sure if motion smoothness kicks in or not. I guess it depends on the app?
I was looking at the magnetic Lululock stand for my S9 Ultra but readily saw that it was designed for the S8 Ultra. I read that it doesn't fit properly because of the cameras. Do you have any issues with that?
It's only a tiny mismatch but works ok. You just need to be a bit careful when putting it on. As I mentioned they have a new version now, for the S9 Ultra
