Idea: Do the one-line-challange again, but when you hit the train cap just build a second line that has the exact same route as the old line
I second this - it is a fair way around the limit. So long as the second line follows the exact same route it is basically still just one line.
I was thinking the same
cant cause of bridges/tunnels it would use twice as much and he didnt have that many
@@GamerzBrofessional Just have multiple "same" lines, but only the MAIN line crosses the rivers. Would be a way to still have to use the main line, too.
Was thinking the same
Imagine a world where metro stations pop up randomly over the city and people wait there for ages in hopes some godlike entity will see fit to connect the station to a line.
That would be a cursed world
That world gonna be very inefficient for sure, 4 circle/triangle in a row is not good at all.
@@Nhatanh0475 very
That would be this game.
@@GoForLaunch13 thats the point
In the level Osaka, not Kyoto, you can put bullet trains instead of normal trains in your lines, so it would be cool if you could check that out.
Those are so cool, but they don't stop at every station. It gets really annoying if the station that is filling up is the one that the bullet train doesn't want to stop at.
It's not Kyoto it's Osaka
@@AlexandarHullRichter It could be the stations of the direction of the train doesn't have their destination. Say, no circle stations on the rest of line, and all of the passengers are circles.
A cool way to make this game more challenging is trying to go for achievements. Maybe you can try that at some point. Love the videos, keep it up!
idk, i dont need game to be more challenging, i need game to be have a common sense and don't spawn bloody circles here and there 10 times in a row. that really hurts
@@Aedvantadge True that haha
Yeah seconded
I don't know how engaging going for all the achievements would, since a lot of them are frustratingly difficult if you don't do train warping
@@rudolph8008 yep. That's true. And I don't do it. But still, sometimes it's a way to make the game a little different or more challenging and that can be cool. Specially if you're a content creator looking to make more content from the game.
I love when he says "Hello, fellow engineers!" bc it makes me feel like a real engineer
Now that Motorway Matt is doing loop routes, I can’t believe he didn’t make one look like a knob. It’s the strongest shape Matt.
@Z. Michael Gehlke ayooooooo
Cutting the loop might help. Also, as others have said you could modify the challenge to be "multiple lines, but same route". Its fine if you don't have enough bridges, the lines don't all have to traverse the whole length of the "main" line. You can also try a massive single "loop" made of multiple lines that never overlap.
Guys, don't believe him, he made Paddy get the new high score in Budapest
I love this as a train guy. This reminds me a lot of the Glasgow Metro. It's just a big loop line. I like seeing what normies...uh, I mean non-trainspotters, do when they play metro games. Loop lines are a common strategy for cities that have spoke-hub lines.
Systems like the Moscow Metro have most of their lines head to the city center and they intersect a lot, which is nice if you want to head to the center. But if you're in an outer area, it can be difficult to get to a different outer area without heading to the center. This is where loop lines come in handy. You don't have to go all the way in, just transfer to the loop line.
trainsgender
Do you know another metro game ?
That is why there is a second outer loop -- Moscow Central Circle, which decreases the load on the radial lines (from and to the center) and first loop (ring line)
Как похорошела Москва при Сергее Семёновиче!
They're building another big loop in moscow, this third loop passes through a lot of outer areas and aims to connect them together so people can use more direct routes
Or you can just take a bus)
@@WJaytherNot only that, but there's also a 3rd loop being built that intersects even more stations on the edges of Moscow and half of this loop was opened a few weeks ago
The trains sometimes stop at a station because they're waiting for the train ahead to move and leave some space between them.
Can’t you just overlap the existing line with a new one? Making you able to use more locomotives
I was just about to comment this too
I suppose that still kinda respects the spirit of the challenge.
then you need double amount of bridges
@@yashank_singh didn’t think about that
@@yashank_singh Extra challenge. Past a certain point you have to worry about extra bridges.
In Australia (including Melbourne) trains and train lines are mostly above ground. So bridges (eg Sydney Harbour Bridge) are used instead of tunnels when crossing rivers.
oh yea Melbourne metro is crazy, leads to a lot of level crossings that the government are trying to eliminate
@@skeleletonboi4533 thankfully, the new rail loop SRL is all underground i believe
I’m wondering why he’s using several lines in the one line challenge. Please explain why.
I have the same question.
Matt! Can you change your mini metro to dark mode? It will make for easier watching lol
I think you can go to a station multiple times? Could be useful to make a figure 8/infinity loop, like sharing the middle square so the squares don’t have to go as far around the loop.
this isn't possible, because you can only connect the lines at their ends
Can just take a second to appreciate he put his sponsor at the end of the video to not disrupt the flow of his content 🙌
everyone should do that
PLAY SHIP GRAVEYARD SIMULATER OR I STEAL ALL YOUR LEFT SOCKS!!!
Calm down satan
MORE minimetro, flycorp and mini motorway!
When I was playing this, I think squares were the rarest of the regular shapes. It's been a while, but it would appear that circles are the most frequent.
@motorway Matt One can delete whole lines by hovering over the desired line at the bottom and clicking the x that appears. Love your content!
I looked this game up and started playing it after watching you. I cannot believe how addictive it is. Every time I don't hit my goal, it just makes me want to try again and again until hours disappear.
so proud of you for getting quality sponsorships. I love your personality. Can't wait for you to finish infra, but you can do anything and it's entertaining.
It's pronounced Budape-sh-t. As a penitence, you will have to play the custom maps for Hódmezővásárhely, Nyugotifelsőszombatfalva and Jászfelsőszentgyörgy. ;)
As someone from Melbourne, I can confirm "slanted eyeball" is the best description of a football I have ever heard.
It would be pretty cool if ya played forts!
I agree
Nah nah nah Play Kingdoms and Castles on Steam Matt! They recently dropped a huge update!
@@joeh8352 Because it's impossible to play 2 different games lol
Yes. The ideal line visits different station types between each station as much as possible and any line that has an end where the train doubles back on itself visits the same station type immediately after one possibly different station at each end. As in if you end with a circle and before the end is a triangle, the train visits triangle-circle-triangle. Also if you put two of the same shape in a row at the end say two circles, the train visits circle-circle-circle whereas connecting those two circles together in a loop remains just two circles visited in a row not three.
if you ever revisit this challenge, try having multiple lines that follow the exact same path to bypass the locomotive limit
"I just got my highest score in Budapest"
*me excited*
"and I forgot to record"
*dang you*
(Also a hungarian viewer)
4:40 right here is where I, a 20yo Berlin citizen, figured out that those are actually the correctly coloured Metro Lines (U1 is lime, U2 red, U3 dark green, U4 yellow etc) and i‘m about to get this game rn. Very Convinced that the developers put a lot of thought into this. This is amazing.
I've spent hours on it since I got it like a week ago, it's brilliant
I feel like using this strat for the beginning And only when you max the trains on one line, start adding new lines.
9:17 It’s reverse colours because Australia’s upside down. Trust me, I speak aussie, ǝʇɐɯ ʎɐp’ƃ.
21:25 Whats up with that sudden mini MOTORWAYS game… did you just copy paste that sponsor talk?🤣
I'm sure there are a lot of people that would I'd love to see an in-depth review where you compare Mini Metro vs Mini Motoways vs Dragon Age Inquisition, to see which one does it best.
One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn't belong.
@@brigidtheirish I know these are trains but the concept is similar
@@Varksterable Is the house brick safe to eat off of? It'd be such a shame to waste good 🍕
@@Reclusive247 How is *Dragon Age Inquisition* anything like this?
@@Varksterable First time I've run into that saying. I like it!
hey RCE can you help me with my homework
i think the shapes represent something (only really cirle triangle and square). So for those three shapes, the less sides the less demands to go to the places so cirles could represent like resisdential areas or outer areas of a city wheras a square could represent a large tourist magent which is why there is so few of the aswell.
Berlin is my nemesis in this game I can't get over 1100 to save my life on just that level.
I see that Melbourne is the next location. Shout out from Melbourne Australia 👍👍
as to let it go further, why not "cheat" a bit on the one line and have one circuit/shape of the tracks, but lines over lines? (is it even possible to do that?)
you can have two and three (haven't tried if four yet) lines running parallel between the same stations. If that is what you mean with "lines over lines" it is possible
the only trouble you might have in that regard is having double/triple the amount of bridges depending on how many lines you wanna run. theoretically it could be really cool to use the extra lines to expedite service on opposite sides of the river when bridges are in short supply. Might be considered "cheating", but I do love to see these games go on for a very long time lol
Don't sweat it - the real trams in melbourne are all on top of eachother too...
Or as we say 'trams are like bananas, they're green & yellow, and come in bunches!'
you could have had 2 parallel lines doing the same routes but opposite directions
Of course the colours are reversed in Melbourne, it's upside down.
Matt I love your accent. I've never been this early, but I always look forward to your videos!
I had no idea you could grab a train and move somewhere else or change it’s direction. Boom! Thank you!
I would love to see you do creative mode. I wonder what that's all about…
Maybe try the one line challenge with multiple colors following exactly the same route. That way you can fit more trains on the line.
Using two lines fas one way….give that a try…great videos. Thanks
I watched your previous episode of mini metros a few days ago, checked to see if it existed in the Google play store and have lost hours of my life to it since then. I see circles and triangles when I close my eyes. Thanks RCE 🤣

Since im hungarian it isnt very common to hear about our little country in video made by such a famous youtuber. I love your content!🇭🇺♥️
TBH the one line challenge is very instructive, you could start with that and then try to put quick access to help with choke points
I know this would break the “one line” challenge, but what if u made a second line right ontop of the first one, to be able to hav more than 5 lines
Make multipel lanes ontop of each other to place more trains
hey RCE, good video, i believe smaller loops could work even better. to get around the 5 vehicle/line limit.
btw, is it possible to send you game suggestions somewhere?
Wow one minute ago??? Dam. (no pun intended 😜)
Hey RCE, you should probably check out Tokyo which is a community map and it’s absolute chaos
Loved this video.
I was hoping for some more mini metro.
Can you do more terra nil
Merry bridgmass
You got screwed over hard in the first route: no extra tunnels and impossibly many circles.
"Using ONE LINE to get high scores in Mini Metro!"
*uses second line not even 3 minutes in*
this game was really fun, but somehow each time i play there were too many circle stations
that's quite annoying
Day 8 of me asking Matt to play Barbie and her sisters: puppy rescue.
“Yes I round up, I’m an engineer 🤠👍
Seeing Melbourne is…..odd
Wait never mind…….. there’s trams!
Please play Satisfactory if you can!!! It would be awesome.
The trains will auto-space themselves, that's why they sit at a station when you put them right on top of each other!
they really like circles
I kinda want to see more of the one line challenge
Hi
I want to See the gameplay from the First place 🤔😅
Days automatically better when I see you post 🥰
SQUAREspace sponsors the video - makes a circle route where 70% stations are circles! It is a sign!!! xD
Here in Melbourne melbourne has the largest tram system
New rule to this challange: you can use more lines ONLY if all of your existing line are full (5 locamotives)
If only train companies in real life could just transport trains from one end of the city to another when they needed to.
I think it would be smart if you connected insides of the loop with centre routes
I want you to engenering best strategy in inscryption
I started playing this a few days ago and it'd interestingly relaxing. Out approaches are vastly different in some areas. I'm gonna be testing shape based lines next time I play. let a train pick all the waiting triangles and drop them then collect the rest and play hard on interchanges. I doubt it'll be efficient, but something to try and maybe get insight from.
POV: Your designing the NY or Paris metro
VRO YA SKIPPED BUDAPEST WTF R U DOIN BRO
Berlin is by far the hardest map in the game
Do the one line challenge but in Hong Kong or Tokyo, they should have bullet trains
I think that u can get a high score when u use a line for every form( for example line blue only has circles) and then each line goes to 1 point of the map (for example a triangle in the middle of the map). Or each line has 1 form (line blue has 1 circle 1 square 1 triangle 1 diamond etc.)
@@nom3nnescio nope
*What I read as title* "Using One Line To Get High" Me* " Hey I know how to do that :D"
i really love how u put ur sponsor-spots in the end of the vid. It's just so nice to make it "optional" with this
If the one line was the strongest shape you would have got double the points.
Two years later I started playing mini metro and I, m unable to get 1k on Budapest and San Francisco, monteral , osaka , Berlin
Yes, Melbourne has a tram network, Australia, in general, doesn't have a "metro". Trams are superior.
17:47 looks like King kong in a boot🤣
if you want to do this again, try to place another line on top the first line, it will help you to get more train
Can you say something in hungarian?
at 15:38 I feel like there is a the strongest shape if the bottom right circle district was a single loop line. lol
pls can you play roblox once time
Crazy idea what if two loops 🤔
1,400 was my limit
Then I learned the flower pedal design (each line gets a little circle and connects to one central station)
The next map I got 2,200
But then I had a thought, If you have that so that specialty shapes only have to transfer to one line, why not have a dedicated line?
Didn't think much of it but the next time I tried it I got 3000 in London and am top 1% (can't even see the number on the bar chart)
Never got past 1,400 again
Not fair, Melbournes entire network of TRAINS will pass thru the CBD with a ever efficient Round-a-Bout the trams act like connecters meshing thru the CBD and linking arterials in the larger LGA cities, an lately we're getting a outer loop. It's gunna be great
Connecting 2 stations of the same type (Square-Square, circle-circle etc) is worthless. it will only take a few passengers extra when the train is full, only getting a few extra (the people getting off... IF any) since the passengers of the last station do not get off as they have no reason to do so. It also creates a delay because it has to stop twice with little to no gain. Though sometimes you can't do without it, but you must resist the urge to do so....
Romans 8:38-39 NIV “38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God loves us so much that He gave his only son, Jesus to die on the cross for the penalty that we deserve for our sins (John 3:16). This verse proves that God’s love reaches everywhere, as long as we accept him into our life. If we do that, he’ll change our life for the better. I’m not saying this to force you to believe in Him, but I’m simply saying this to send a message. God bless you all! (I’m not a bot btw)
Try making a circle line in the mid then. Make other lines like pop out to other station
Me: *Hungarian*
RCE: I reached a high score on Budapest
Me: *Gasps on Matt mentioning my capital*
RCE: I forgot to record the video
Me: ... The game isn't up to date anyway, it misses a metro line :(
For Berlin, it mentioned something about limited tunnels. That seems counter intuitive, as Germans are engineers and surely would love building lots of tunnels. There should be limitless tunnels for maximum efficiency. If tunnels for the sake of tunnels are not good enough for Germans, efficiency brought by tunnels will be. Got to like efficiency. And tunnels.
