5:36, could be wrong, but AFAIK the way you interpreted the signals is wrong, if he's extending his right arm (you'll see it on your left) it means TURN LEFT, not move towards his right, same for go straight is literally go straight, not turn towards him, just saying cause I've seen a bunch of people on servers end up misaligned at the catapult for doing exactly that
Carrier takeoff trim: 16-19, depending on weight. 16 is fine for any reasonable loadout. Hornet takes off hand off the stick, so no "pull up slightly". The right hand is on the towel rack at that point. Typically, in DCS at least, one needs to push forward on the stick to stay below 500' AGL within 7NM. Cheers!
@@p90arn just for learnings purposes I guess. And to cover the issue of playing with "random system failures" turned on. Love your content though, keep up the awesome work!
At which point I would run through the checks, however, it is a basic start up to get people flying. 99% of servers do not have failures, the video is aimed at getting people up.
Don't worry. The plane gives you a checklist with everything you have left to activate to takeoff safely. It won't tell you to activate the IFF, DL or ECM. But everything else will be told
ED really nailed the start up sounds on the Hornet. That’s. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Thanks for what you are doing for the community!

Perfect timing, just bought the f-18 the other day!
Probably your best video ever!
I like my threat priorities one the best.
Really enjoy your content! Keep it up!

Great work, man. Keep em coming!
How did you QUALITY for nav drop to 0.5 so fast?
Does the oculus touch controls work with the F 18? We do not have HOTAS right now, and my son loves this game.
Yes it does, but only with a PC of course. It’s much easier with hotas, but people do use touch controllers
Why does. Alarm go off and I start tilting to left after take off
you dont have to do the fcs bit?
You don’t need to in the current build.
NAV alignment in one minute? How is it possible?
I notice you skip all the system checks and get straight to the barebones startup
There's no possibility of failure in DCS so why bother?

@@TacticalPascale thanks for the reply and keep up the great work!
quick and efficient video
Thanks! Do you have a checklist you use?
No, I learned the procedure and remember if.....however, I would be better suited to using a checklist.
@@TacticalPascale it is simple
