I cannot believe this is my journey, my story, my progress. Having gone thru all the stages thus far has taught me so much about myself, it has shown me the prejudices of others as well as the reality that there is still so many ignoramuses and myths as it relates to locs. I really do not understand why, there is so much information available out here, but anyway, I digress! Do you find that locs are a good style for avid exercisers? I workout twice a day and I cannot with any straight styles because I just sweat them out. I need a style, right now I just got a 4c afro.
I work out 3-5x week. I’m a sweater so I can definitely attest to locs in the gym. Hmm, I feel like typically my locs styles/ freshness from the retwist may last a week and sometimes 3 weeks. It depends on what you have going on and how good your retwist/style you get. Now with a lot of sweating you may want to wash your hair more frequently- like maybe every 2 weeks versus 4. I hope that helps!
Hey hey! I’m not sure how my hair would have turned out with the two strand twist vs. the coil method. However, I loved my journey despite the shrinkage lol. Styled really saved me to continue to keep at it.
