@@LumianCentral lol kind of off topic but I think those small moments scattered throughout the story with the consistently slow pacing at all moments and hella detailed life scenes like Klein buying bread/food or clothes make the plot twists in LOTM so good if they just speed up those moments and pacing to the next big moment it isn't as shocking or unpredictable which is why I think the LOTM anime will flop the consistently slow pacing makes it hard to tell what is important to the story or just regular Klein activity's but the anime will probably not take its time and skip alot of those scenes

Thus, I don’t believe that many of the slice of life scenes will really be skipped, allowing the slow build up and tension that builds slowly throughout the first volume to be just as amazing as it was when I read it. Let’s not forget that the animation will truly capture the amazingly wicked and abstract art that we have seen throughout LOTM 😮💨

The only thing I didn't agree is that Zaratul is an idiot since the biggest reason Klein was able to be run away and hide multiple times is because He is also Evernight's Blessed, The Goddess of Concealment. Just that is enough to disrupt any kind of track even more when you notice that everytime Klein was seen it was because of his own exposure throughout divination or confrontations. I think the two biggest example of that are related to Ince Zangwill damn seq. 01 (and Adam Spectator's pathway related) Quill that wasn't able to determine that Gehrmann and Dantés was Klein, treating it like "another random person"; the second is in late Volume 1 where Klein "hide" with Captain while Leonard cast Megose (and Descendent offspring + Allmight Sun God connection) attention away. Only if Klein wasn't blessed by Amanise since the start he would've been caught earlier even without exposing himself.

I REALLY want to know what, in your opinion, the ranking of LOTM volumes is. If you want, you could even include COI. I have often read that Volume 2 is the worst, and honestly, I can see why. Especially after ~half way, the writing seems to get a LOT, lot worse. Just the absolutely random conjecture Alger made about the City of Silver higher ups (when Derrick was thought to be possessed by Amon still) were enough to make me weirded out, but especially the nonsensical conjectures about the Abraham family and the Apocalypse that Klein made, were not up to snuff. It just felt like a completely different person wrote the story for a bit. Also, the entire Capim sequence was SUCH a downgrade from EVERY fight before imo.

I REALLY want to know what, in your opinion, the ranking of LOTM volumes is. If you want, you could even include COI.
I have often read that Volume 2 is the worst, and honestly, I can see why. Especially after ~half way, the writing seems to get a LOT, lot worse. Just the absolutely random conjecture Alger made about the City of Silver higher ups (when Derrick was thought to be possessed by Amon still) were enough to make me weirded out, but especially the nonsensical conjectures about the Abraham family and the Apocalypse that Klein made, were not up to snuff. It just felt like a completely different person wrote the story for a bit. Also, the entire Capim sequence was SUCH a downgrade from EVERY fight before imo.

I won’t reveal my full list hahahahah that’ll be on my video but volume 2 was not great for me either for sure. Sure I enjoyed the new Backlund setting but as you mentioned there were many relatively unimportant aspects during the volume that were brought up.
Ofcourse Volume 2 might not be the best for LoTM but it did set up some major plot lines and is still better than most other volumes of any other media hahahahah 😅

Isn’t Zaratul just a surname? The Zaratul from the Solomon Empire isn’t the same as the one in the book, iirc.
Senior Zaratul died in Solomon Era while Zaratul Junior, the one who we know for most of the series, had already reached demigod level at that point too

Imagine scheming your whole life and still being a glorified errand boy in the big leagues. AND He was betrayed by his own historical projection 💀 that is actually sad😭🙏 And I don't want to talk about What he was doing in circle of inevitability💀
