@Rhys Comerford yeah I get that man if you really wanna help your best off going in somewhere and buying them a meal or something instead of actually giving them the money. That way you know for sure your money has gone on something useful for them.
I was homeless before and I was on drugs too. I had a lot of generous givers and once in a while I would get the occasional person like this hat would go above and beyond. I would never ever rip someone off because it’s wrong and often honesty is rewarded when people see you in such a vulnerable state. Some people I would have a script to what I would say to get the money and other people like this I would be honest about my habit and most of the time when people heard the ugly truth from me they still wanted to help me. There are some really nice people out there and that’s why you never show bitterness towards people if they don’t give just say HAVE A GOOD DAY! You have a 50% chance that person will feel bad and turn around and give you something....anything. I sometimes think back to some of the people that gave me excessive amounts of money for being honest and it makes me think that the whole world is in pain one way or the other and it feels good to share your resources with less fortunate people.

I remember giving a homeless lady a $20 Walmart gift card that I had laying around the house. She cried. Something so useless to me, was something she really needed. I’m glad I helped her.

It would've been so great 😅 but I'm always in the financial burden category myself. Just having a lot extra to do these things, maybe even build a help center for those who need a temporary shelter, food, clothes and so on. Would've been the life to live. Using what can corrupt a person (money) to help the ones that have nothing of it, and those needing help for other reasons.

I have been homeless since my mom and her husband kicked me out on the 18th birthday..I worked for ten years while sleeping in bushes and eventually got a car to sleep in, and managed to save enough to buy some land..no house yet but I’m planning on building soon. I’m still homeless but slowly I’m starting to see the light

Man I love watching this dudes videos. Wish more people would do it. Wish I could give more. I barely scrape by myself it seems sometimes but I've given my last penny and went hungry with a smile on my face to know someone else didn't have to that night. And my mindset is always to be like that although I don't have the money to seek people who are struggling down, if I ever run into them in my daily travels I'm always prepared to give the shirt off my back and worry about myself later on. It's so strange to me the bizarre feeling one can feel from giving to others and receiving nothing. Maybe that's just the way the world raises you too just want all the time instead of giving. I give away things I love, things I've fought to get and things that I could never get again, sentimental items and all, somewhere along my life everything just spun around and I realized that I enjoyed 10 times more the reaction of making somebody else smile rather than receiving something from someone. If I won the lottery tomorrow I would be broke the next day. There's too many other people in this world that need a hand. Even if you have absolutely nothing in your life, believe it or not you are more fortunate than a lot of other people. I hope that makes sense to someone. I find it hard to get depressed even though I literally don't have anything much of possessions.. how can I be upset or depressed. There's people half as fortunate or even far less than me that pass me daily with a huge smile on their face. Now how ridiculous would I look with a frown on mine?:-)

Im from dallas and i was going to tyler texas and littery yesterday i picked up a guy walking cause a hour before i seen him on the onramp begining his walk to Shreveport and i was in the Dodge pickup in my profile picture pulling Our kabota to Our land out in tyler texas and I stopped and yelled hey You need a ride! And he said yeah and i asked him where he was headed n he said Shreveport i told him hop in and off we went i cut 90 miles off his 268 mile trip! He kept thanking me and thanking me and thanking me over and over again i gave him my sandwich Which was a BBQ Buckees Brisket sandwich and i gave him 3 cold sodas and the cigarettes i had in the car I let him out at a rest area about 15 miles from Tyler texas and i told him get some rest cause he was sleepy and i told him a few exits down the road was a loves truck stop and the people there was friendly n that when he wakes up to head there and someone will take him the rest of the way to Shreveport His name was marcus and i will allways remeber him!

I believe that homelessness actually humbles people who experience it to really be much nicer and more respectful to other humans. One may not know their past life but most people change after becoming homeless and understand the value of being there for one another. Most of them tend to want to share what they got with others which is so heartwarming. I don't wish hardship on anyone but I hope people who have more realise that being humble and kind is worth it all.

GlassyMink2 my old roommate had the same idea. Started moving homeless people into the apartment without asking me. Before I knew it, she had a couple of them living with us and they were stealing and doing drugs in my apartment. They’re not all like that but it ruined it for me. Now I only help if I see they are good.
Ended up having to move my stuff out fast. Especially my dog since I was scared they’d break my door and hurt her.
