I used to buy old business laptops with quadro cards to game on. They're cheap and generally in good quality. Some cards you can get modified geforce drivers that get better DirectX performance.
It would be super easy for folks to measure its performance if you compare it with some mainstream GPUs like the 1050ti, rx 560 or 960/970. Seems like a good topic to cover for an extra lil video for this bad boy. 🙃

It is very much the game engine’s fault. How Rockstar built the engine, if the fps goes above 188 fps the game takes a massive deuce and tanks 1% and .1% lows. Best thing to do with GTA V is cap it to 144 or 165 depending on the monitor. Gamers’ Nexus I think did a video on GTA V’s buggy engine when it comes to unlocked fps.
About GTA V: The Game-engine has a 180fps-cap and the closer you get to it, the more the game stutters. That's something they never fixed for some reason.

@@theholoren 180 actually divides from 360 quite well, so it would still look good on a 360hz monitor. However, 60/144 divides strangely and therefore some frames may get skipped or just feels wrong, you're half right.
Seems like this is a pretty good option, and I like the fact it has 4x display port outputs, so in theory you could drive 4 separate monitors (which would come in handy in a business/workstation environment). It also seems like the minimum VRAM you should have in your GPU nowadays is 4GB. 2GB just doesn't seem to cut it anymore.
Yeah I had to switch from 750ti 2gb to 970 4gb for several reasons including former VRAM not being enough. I think 3gb are fine just as well but one may wonder, for how long. Not that this card has this option, just in general
@@SianaGearz I know that the 1060 came with both 3GB and 6GB video memory as options, and I know for sure which choice I'd make, even if it cost more. 3GB video memory might be enough for less intensive titles, but I'd certainly be going for 4GB or more for any modern or more intensive titles. Thankfully my laptop's 1050Ti has 4GB video memory, whilst my desktop's 960 has 2GB video memory. I also looked inside my local CEX store and whilst I got a good deal on some PC3L RAM, and a 512GB SSD, their GPU prices were awful!
@@TheSpotify95 1050Ti is kinda just a little on the slow side; then again it's a laptop GPU so that's very adequate, you don't necessarily want more heat than necessary in a laptop and you're less pressed to target higher resolutions either, so it's a nice compromise. When i was buying a GPU a few years ago, my choice within my budget was between the 4GB 970 and 3GB 1060 and it's still tough to say what would have been the right choice. 1060 sure has an advantage of supporting FreeSync and HDR-out, and should be overall a little faster in newer titles, as long as the memory is not overtaxed. The slightly shortened 4GB in 970 (3.5GB hot limit) actually work very well and don't pose any real problems in games. I paid 80€ for it and it was barely used, it was back over 2 years ago; 1060 even 3GB would have cost at least slightly more. Right now you'd be paying closer to 150€ for either, over 200€ for a 6GB. A couple months ago you could buy something like a 2060 S for just north of 500€ or a 3060 for 600€, which is already severely overpriced; right now the prices have shot about 200€ up in comparison to that, which is just crazy. 1650 was 150€ a year ago and now it's closer to 400€. I wonder if things relax at least a little in January, but i don't actually have a lot of hope. I sure hope my 970 doesn't kick the bucket! I just got a massive scare earlier today where my computer clicked off; then when i booted it and played a little again, it did as well. Luckily it was probably just the VRM OTP, apparently i clicked something wrong in Afterburner and turned off the fan gradient, it was undercooled and overheated. Still it's a little scary that i pushed that limit, might have shortened its life a little. The chip was OK but the VRM was pretty hot. Like if the lowside collapses i can repair the PCB, but if highside goes, the GPU is completely toast. I am thinking of getting a newer platform, so mainboard and CPU, the prices are tenable. Got a terabyte SATA SSD also a couple months back for like 80€ which is just spectacular. DDR4 RAM prices are good to go as well, paid like 56€ retail for a 16GB kit 3200 a few weeks back, i can't use it right now, i'm still on Ivy Bridge, but the price was right and i'll need it for the next platform anyway. Splurged on a nice display after 10 years, a 1440p 27" IPS with 165Hz, and that was 270€, very nice, i had repaired my prior display once already and it has been fading quite a bit, and never was that good to begin with, it's a massive chunk of change for me, but well, i slowly needed something, and decided to treat myself for a change, i don't need that much food anyway.
This is similar to the Quadro P1000 in specs and performance, of which I have one. The best thing about ANY business oriented hardware is that businesses frequently discard hardware during upgrades, so if you know the right people you can get quality "previously enjoyed" hardware for cheap or even free. I got that P1000 for free when I worked at an IT company, pulled it from a client workstation who upgraded to a more powerful quadro GPU. Unlike private owners, most business have absolutely no concern for what happens to old hardware once new hardware has been purchased since it didn't come out of anyone's pocket, and often they buy new hardware more often than they really need to, in order to write off revenue on their taxes.
That's a pretty good card for workstation use and doesn't require any additional power. As far as gaming goes the T600 is a cut down GTX 1650 as they use the same GPU die but the 1650 has 896 shaders vs the T400's 640. Basically a way for Nvidia to make use of chips with some defects in them. The real shame is in the US the T600 is currently selling for $250-300+ and my 5 year old $200 1060 3GB still offers 2x the performance of the T600 in pretty much everything. GPU prices are still so far out of whack!
Even a 1060 could go for 300-400 bucks rn depending on the day unless you find a clueless guy selling his old card for what he bought it at years ago or less

Also, how "new" models are being released that have less than half the amount of raw power as this half decade old card does and still cost more now than it did back then... @@retrocomputing The approximate aspect ratio of human vision is 5.5:2 iirc. I tested this out with a tape measure at a set distance and a really big wall. A resolution of 5500 x 2000 (about 6k) is not out if the question. Also, as vr is very sensitive to frame rate, a gpu being able to do 6k 120 may be a future requirement.
@@Reformedekko that has nothing to do with progression. An 8k 24" monitor just doesn't make sense. Our graphics cards aren't able to push super good textures and reallife physics because for years now we pushed resolutions way to hard. I was talking about conventional gaming, not VR. You would have to sit 10cm in front of your monitor to see the difference between 4k and 8k if your monitor is only 24". That's what I meant.
Kind of odd that you couldn't get afterburner to work on Halo Infinite. I've been using it pretty normally ever since the Beta and even now. Either way, I'm kind of sad I missed this card. I'm building my friend's first PC and the only one we could find was an RX 550. If I had known this card existed, I would've gotten this one over what we're getting now

That was really interesting to watch. I'd love to see a followup with overclocking this little beast. I saw the temps were sitting at around 65 C which leaves a fair bit of headroom (really impressive for such a tiny cooler as well) so I feel that'd be a really interesting watch, and could sway a few more people to consider that card as their next purchase

Interesting. This card solidly beats my GTX 970 in several titles. Hence even more astonishing that it's not really mentioned anywhere unless you know where to look. Definitely an option for gamers who don't mind lower settings or older titles.
@@sali-ali Could be because it's paired with a modern CPU, I have an i5-4690. But over 100 fps in GTAV? No shot on a 970. Average 60 fps in BF2042? Perhaps. I achieved around 50 during the beta, maybe it's more optimized now, who knows.
@@sali-ali If they're passing 3.5 GB VRAM usage on their 970 it will bottleneck super hard, that last half a gig is ~7 times slower than the first 3.5 gigs.
I got one and I am really really happy with it rn, in my country the 1650 can be up to x2 more expensive than this card (like the equivalent of $250 USD for the T600 and like up to $500 for the 1650) and it works like a charm paired with a Ryz 5 3600 and 16 GB of RAM. I'm able to play R6S at medium settings with native 1080p resolution with an average of like 80 to 90fps with no frametime spikes, at least I haven't been able to percieve one until now, and that is enough for me, who used to play on minimum settings and 25% resolution scaling at 720p in a t430 thinkpad laptop with the NVS gpu (had an average of 30 to 20fps). Apart from all of that, it's power consumption is minimal, using just 40 W on full load. For the times we are living in, anyone searching for a Turing card on a really tight budget, it is the best option rn.
just to note the power circuitry on this card is the same as the T1000 model so can go higher in TDP. with modded bios you can get the clocks and power limit up a fair bit giving it around 20% more performance.
Just ordered it for 15k INR (200 USD). I'm finally happy to get something for my R5 3600XT I built this PC a year ago and I couldnt afford any GPU so was rocking 710 till now however I can't express how good it feels to get hands on a GPU and I don't mind playing games on low or even ultra low. I've seen bad days in past when I had to game on 480p with ultra low patches from internet.
A lot of stuff in GTA V is affected by FPS, at 120fps and higher, some missions will break, and at about 140fps and higher, it will begin to stutter. Enabling MSAA just lowered your framerate, thats why it fixed the stuttering.
So glad this is working at all in BF2042 after hearing a bunch of streamers having problems with their fancy 3080/90s, this should show them that indeed there probably is something else than "bad game make lag" that is the cause here (im thinking they have a crooked config) :)

This is a continuation of a line of Nvidia cards I have had a lot of great use out of over the years - I had a 600 (Fermi), then a K600 (Kepler) then a K620 (Kepler 2.0) and my current card is a P620 (Pascal) which is about as fast as a GTX750ti but uses just 40w. I don't do much gaming, so these entry level Quadro cards are ideal for me. I'm thinking of getting a T600 after seeing this review, cheers!
Nice find. These look like they can slot into a "slim profile" / "low profile" micro ATX case (if you can find the right I/O shield) favoured by pre-built manufacturers; but they seem to be able to outperform the aging GTX 1050 low profile cards (to say nothing for the crappy GT 730 or 710). It could also be interesting to compare it with the AMD APU's.
GTA's engine has a hard frame limit of 187.5fps, if your card is hitting 150+ then it's actually too good for the settings used, this makes it really hard to run lower settings without v-sync on powerful PCs. Textures are also a weird one, high textures always seems to result in smoother frametimes, something to do with real-time compression I think
Good review, and keep in mind that it should be topping out at just 40 watts. And for the price you got it at, that's really decent performance for a budget build. It's normally over $200 though.
This might just be perfect for my pc, I’ve been using a k1200 (k standing for Kepler, which is the same as the GTX 700 series) for a while and am looking to upgrade.
Hey! Have you checked out the newest nvidia driver that comes with a sort-of-competitor to amd's FSR? Nvidia also released a tool called ICat to compare details between screenshots easily, i think those could make for a cool video!
The thing I like the most about this card is the form factor and power consumption. As I'm using a miniature ITX form factor (4-litre chassis) for mostly light gaming and video editing purposes, having a card that's just strong enough but doesn't draw a lot of power and has a small size is a difficult task.
Well... Tested: The performance with latest Game Ready Driver is EXACTLY between an 1050 Ti and 1650(non gddr6) in almost every game... With the Studio drivers the game performance may be a little less prominent, but, as these "pro" cards accept the Game Ready Drivers, why not?
The stutters from GTA V are actually caused because of the limitations of the engine if you run the game with more than 150 or 160 fps those dips are inevitable
The T1000 is outrageously expensive for very little gain. It has the same amount of shader units as the 1650 (896 vs 640 on the T600), otherwise it's very much identical to the T600, same chip, same RAM, slightly higher boost clock... totally not worth double the money (it costs well over $400). The T600 as is already beats a GTX 1050 Ti. Which makes it a pretty good deal.
This looks like a great option for those SFF, USFF and ITX builds, where you may not have the 2 slots available for fitting something like a 1050ti or 1650 , or simply may not have the budget to stretch for a 1650 Super or 1660 for playing the eSports titles. Really impressed with how good the new Halo looked even without the high res pack.
My PC is single slot half height only, as it's an all in one touchscreen PC, There no space for anything bigger, I've upgraded to GT1030 a few years ago, There hasn't been much of anything else that would fit come out!
Enabling MSAA didn't directly fix the framepacing, gta5 trips over its own shoelaces once you get around 160+fps. This was discovered over 4 years ago...The fix is to decrease framerates either with an fps cap (144hz monitors with vsync etc) or increase visual quality increasing gpu load. I would suggest soft shadows, high textures and HBAO lighting with maximum draw distance as they make the game look allot better. Turn particles, depth of field, motion blur as low as they can go. high grass can look good but its very demanding so thats a personal trade-off. The pedestrian and car sliders do nothing to framerates in general, they just increase cpu load as it creates random NPC's/cars by hammering storage and should generally be turned down *especially* if on a HDD.

This looks like it would make a great SFF card. Might have to cut down the support bracket for certain cases, but judging by the size of the card I doubt sag will be a major issue.
I am from India and I got this card for 12500 Indian Rupees or 167 USD. I used it on after Effects, Premier Pro Photoshop. It made everything smooth. 10 minutes of rendering on AE to 3 and half minutes. Thanx for the gamming video as I never tried gamming on it. 🙏

I won't be surprised if for this professional series card they actually enabled unaccelerated RT just so one could see how the ray-traced image would look like, but the resulting framerate should be reaching whereabouts of 10 fps or less.
The card nobody knows about, games on medium nicely, has Rtx and dlss. It’s to underrated! this should be called the 3010. Maybe just maybe, we can SLI 2 of these.
This would definitely have been the auction I would be going with moving forward, except for the fact that I've consistently been getting 1650s for about 200 bucks
1%lows and 0.1%lows are not based on fps but frametimes, that's why FH5 "felt" good to play but had 1%low of 30, that just means it's average of frame times that is in the low of 1% of the whole frame time graph was 33.33ms i.e. 30fps. You can see all this data on the graph provided by afterburner, to see the graph only and bigger, double click the graph.
The stuttering in Gta 5 is present because the engine can't handle fps above 150-180 by enabling msaa you lowered the fps which helped reduce the stutter rage is showing its age. zwormz mentions this from time to time if he is testing GTA 5 with a good GPU

I am a PC Builder and seller, and for my personal PC I've been eyeing the Quadro RTX T600 for a bit. I thought that it was weird because it has GDDR6 memory, which is not normal for many older workstation cards, so this performance is really promising! I may just be able to use this for my occasional gaming in my workstation rig until I have enough for a Radeon RX 6700 XT
The reason for GTA V not sttutering is because it does when doing 180fps + , when you activate msaa, the bigger load prevents the engine from doing those high fps that brake the framerate....

The reason gta v lags because it has a fps limit of 180 once the in-game fps gets close to that it strats lagging for no reason by enabling 2x msaa the fps decreases a bit so it doesn't get 180 fps or close to that this happes because of rage(rockstar advanced game engine) has this bug.

Don't mention RX 560, but RX 580, as RX 560 has base of 2GB VRAM and max of 4GB

This is similar to the Quadro P1000 in specs and performance, of which I have one. The best thing about ANY business oriented hardware is that businesses frequently discard hardware during upgrades, so if you know the right people you can get quality "previously enjoyed" hardware for cheap or even free. I got that P1000 for free when I worked at an IT company, pulled it from a client workstation who upgraded to a more powerful quadro GPU. Unlike private owners, most business have absolutely no concern for what happens to old hardware once new hardware has been purchased since it didn't come out of anyone's pocket, and often they buy new hardware more often than they really need to, in order to write off revenue on their taxes.
That's a pretty good card for workstation use and doesn't require any additional power. As far as gaming goes the T600 is a cut down GTX 1650 as they use the same GPU die but the 1650 has 896 shaders vs the T400's 640. Basically a way for Nvidia to make use of chips with some defects in them.
The real shame is in the US the T600 is currently selling for $250-300+ and my 5 year old $200 1060 3GB still offers 2x the performance of the T600 in pretty much everything. GPU prices are still so far out of whack!

Also, how "new" models are being released that have less than half the amount of raw power as this half decade old card does and still cost more now than it did back then... yeah. im playing forza horizon 5 on 1060 3gb on 4k without problems except if the settings eat into video memory.

@@retrocomputing The approximate aspect ratio of human vision is 5.5:2 iirc. I tested this out with a tape measure at a set distance and a really big wall. A resolution of 5500 x 2000 (about 6k) is not out if the question. Also, as vr is very sensitive to frame rate, a gpu being able to do 6k 120 may be a future requirement.

Our graphics cards aren't able to push super good textures and reallife physics because for years now we pushed resolutions way to hard.
I was talking about conventional gaming, not VR. You would have to sit 10cm in front of your monitor to see the difference between 4k and 8k if your monitor is only 24".

Kind of odd that you couldn't get afterburner to work on Halo Infinite. I've been using it pretty normally ever since the Beta and even now. Either way, I'm kind of sad I missed this card. I'm building my friend's first PC and the only one we could find was an RX 550. If I had known this card existed, I would've gotten this one over what we're getting now

That was really interesting to watch. I'd love to see a followup with overclocking this little beast. I saw the temps were sitting at around 65 C which leaves a fair bit of headroom (really impressive for such a tiny cooler as well) so I feel that'd be a really interesting watch, and could sway a few more people to consider that card as their next purchase

Interesting. This card solidly beats my GTX 970 in several titles. Hence even more astonishing that it's not really mentioned anywhere unless you know where to look.
Definitely an option for gamers who don't mind lower settings or older titles.

Are you sure your GTX 970 has no problems? Because this is on pair with my ASUS STRIX GTX 960 4GB! Your 970 should perform much better than this.

But over 100 fps in GTAV? No shot on a 970. Average 60 fps in BF2042? Perhaps. I achieved around 50 during the beta, maybe it's more optimized now, who knows.
@@sali-ali If they're passing 3.5 GB VRAM usage on their 970 it will bottleneck super hard, that last half a gig is ~7 times slower than the first 3.5 gigs.

I got one and I am really really happy with it rn, in my country the 1650 can be up to x2 more expensive than this card (like the equivalent of $250 USD for the T600 and like up to $500 for the 1650) and it works like a charm paired with a Ryz 5 3600 and 16 GB of RAM. I'm able to play R6S at medium settings with native 1080p resolution with an average of like 80 to 90fps with no frametime spikes, at least I haven't been able to percieve one until now, and that is enough for me, who used to play on minimum settings and 25% resolution scaling at 720p in a t430 thinkpad laptop with the NVS gpu (had an average of 30 to 20fps).
Apart from all of that, it's power consumption is minimal, using just 40 W on full load.
For the times we are living in, anyone searching for a Turing card on a really tight budget, it is the best option rn.
just to note the power circuitry on this card is the same as the T1000 model so can go higher in TDP. with modded bios you can get the clocks and power limit up a fair bit giving it around 20% more performance.

Just ordered it for 15k INR (200 USD). I'm finally happy to get something for my R5 3600XT I built this PC a year ago and I couldnt afford any GPU so was rocking 710 till now however I can't express how good it feels to get hands on a GPU and I don't mind playing games on low or even ultra low. I've seen bad days in past when I had to game on 480p with ultra low patches from internet.
It'd be nice to compare these results against low end gaming GPU like the 1050ti and RX560 etc...

A lot of stuff in GTA V is affected by FPS, at 120fps and higher, some missions will break, and at about 140fps and higher, it will begin to stutter. Enabling MSAA just lowered your framerate, thats why it fixed the stuttering.

Its a successor to GTX 1650 (if you don't mind the performance) in terms of Size and TDP to price.
This is a continuation of a line of Nvidia cards I have had a lot of great use out of over the years - I had a 600 (Fermi), then a K600 (Kepler) then a K620 (Kepler 2.0) and my current card is a P620 (Pascal) which is about as fast as a GTX750ti but uses just 40w. I don't do much gaming, so these entry level Quadro cards are ideal for me. I'm thinking of getting a T600 after seeing this review, cheers!

Nice find. These look like they can slot into a "slim profile" / "low profile" micro ATX case (if you can find the right I/O shield) favoured by pre-built manufacturers; but they seem to be able to outperform the aging GTX 1050 low profile cards (to say nothing for the crappy GT 730 or 710). It could also be interesting to compare it with the AMD APU's.
Bought one of these just for NVENC encoding for streaming. Works great!

GTA's engine has a hard frame limit of 187.5fps, if your card is hitting 150+ then it's actually too good for the settings used, this makes it really hard to run lower settings without v-sync on powerful PCs. Textures are also a weird one, high textures always seems to result in smoother frametimes, something to do with real-time compression I think

Good review, and keep in mind that it should be topping out at just 40 watts. And for the price you got it at, that's really decent performance for a budget build. It's normally over $200 though.

The thing I like the most about this card is the form factor and power consumption. As I'm using a miniature ITX form factor (4-litre chassis) for mostly light gaming and video editing purposes, having a card that's just strong enough but doesn't draw a lot of power and has a small size is a difficult task.
You better stop it or workstation users will start complaining that gamers ate stealing their gpus

Well... Tested: The performance with latest Game Ready Driver is EXACTLY between an 1050 Ti and 1650(non gddr6) in almost every game...
With the Studio drivers the game performance may be a little less prominent, but, as these "pro" cards accept the Game Ready Drivers, why not?
The stutters from GTA V are actually caused because of the limitations of the engine if you run the game with more than 150 or 160 fps those dips are inevitable
Please, make T-1000 vs GTX 1650 (or 1050ti) comparison.
The T1000 is outrageously expensive for very little gain. It has the same amount of shader units as the 1650 (896 vs 640 on the T600), otherwise it's very much identical to the T600, same chip, same RAM, slightly higher boost clock... totally not worth double the money (it costs well over $400).
The T600 as is already beats a GTX 1050 Ti. Which makes it a pretty good deal.

This looks like a great option for those SFF, USFF and ITX builds, where you may not have the 2 slots available for fitting something like a 1050ti or 1650 , or simply may not have the budget to stretch for a 1650 Super or 1660 for playing the eSports titles. Really impressed with how good the new Halo looked even without the high res pack.
My PC is single slot half height only, as it's an all in one touchscreen PC, There no space for anything bigger, I've upgraded to GT1030 a few years ago, There hasn't been much of anything else that would fit come out!
@@alanmuir9768 the PNY Nvidia T600 (the one that was tested in this video) is 69mm wide and 156mm long so same width as 1030 and just 5mm longer.
Enabling MSAA didn't directly fix the framepacing, gta5 trips over its own shoelaces once you get around 160+fps.
This was discovered over 4 years ago...The fix is to decrease framerates either with an fps cap (144hz monitors with vsync etc) or increase visual quality increasing gpu load.
I would suggest soft shadows, high textures and HBAO lighting with maximum draw distance as they make the game look allot better.
Turn particles, depth of field, motion blur as low as they can go. high grass can look good but its very demanding so thats a personal trade-off. The pedestrian and car sliders do nothing to framerates in general, they just increase cpu load as it creates random NPC's/cars by hammering storage and should generally be turned down *especially* if on a HDD.

This looks like it would make a great SFF card. Might have to cut down the support bracket for certain cases, but judging by the size of the card I doubt sag will be a major issue.
You might be able to buy the smaller support bracket separately.

I am from India and I got this card for 12500 Indian Rupees or 167 USD. I used it on after Effects, Premier Pro Photoshop. It made everything smooth. 10 minutes of rendering on AE to 3 and half minutes. Thanx for the gamming video as I never tried gamming on it. 🙏

I won't be surprised if for this professional series card they actually enabled unaccelerated RT just so one could see how the ray-traced image would look like, but the resulting framerate should be reaching whereabouts of 10 fps or less.

1%lows and 0.1%lows are not based on fps but frametimes, that's why FH5 "felt" good to play but had 1%low of 30, that just means it's average of frame times that is in the low of 1% of the whole frame time graph was 33.33ms i.e. 30fps.
You can see all this data on the graph provided by afterburner, to see the graph only and bigger, double click the graph.

The stuttering in Gta 5 is present because the engine can't handle fps above 150-180 by enabling msaa you lowered the fps which helped reduce the stutter rage is showing its age. zwormz mentions this from time to time if he is testing GTA 5 with a good GPU

I am a PC Builder and seller, and for my personal PC I've been eyeing the Quadro RTX T600 for a bit. I thought that it was weird because it has GDDR6 memory, which is not normal for many older workstation cards, so this performance is really promising! I may just be able to use this for my occasional gaming in my workstation rig until I have enough for a Radeon RX 6700 XT

The reason for GTA V not sttutering is because it does when doing 180fps + , when you activate msaa, the bigger load prevents the engine from doing those high fps that brake the framerate....

The reason gta v lags because it has a fps limit of 180
once the in-game fps gets close to that it strats lagging for no reason
by enabling 2x msaa the fps decreases a bit so it doesn't get 180 fps or close to that
this happes because of rage(rockstar advanced game engine) has this bug.
