Will there be really new concepts in august trial because June trial was last this school year? And how to prepare for august trial?
@@nours.535what does august trial mean?
My SAT math went up from a 580 to a 750 in under a month of studying after watching your tips. Thank you soo much for the help. Im at a 1420, almost at my goal, taking it again on the 6th of may, hope I do well :D.

Hi, how much you got in may Dsat test. How much score is required to get scholarship ls ? Thanks and best wishes
@@Royalbob123 I didnt take DSAT, I was in person. Most scholarships have different SAT requirements and aren’t always available outside the US
Last question on the very last part: a^2 + b^2 = c^2
8^2 + AC^2 = 20^2
AC^2 = 400-64
AC^2 = 336
AC = sqrt336
I agree, Juan. or 2sqrt82
I think you missed the pyth. rule on the last question. It is ADsquared+8squared=20squared and the answer would be 336.
i aslo thing that
Hi John, how come for the last question it does not come out to be 8^2 + AD^2 = 20^2 according to the pythagorean theorem? The answer I got was 400-64, or 336.
He did it wrong
me too i’m so confused
You're correct. I was too excited solving and got the sides and hyp mixed up.
The math should be : 8^2 + AD^2 = 20^2
The correct answer is 336
@@JohnSAT Phew! I thought I was losing it for a second lol.
Thanks for asking the question
bro is pouring his soul into these videos, mad respect
Hi John, thank u sm for the tips , u are a lifesaver . I'm taking the dsat tomorrow , hope i do welll :)
What did you later score
@@user-dc7ms6qo6r 1310 enough for me
In the 2 question, u dont need to know how to find the roots , just use the formula
Sum of roots of a quadratic polynomial= -b/a
This man not only teaches well but is actually funny while he does it 😂😂
How did he get 9 for the equation of circle?
Hey John I believe u made a mistake on the last question since the equation is c^2=a^2+b^2 u should subtract AD^2 with the hypotenuse.
Another way to be sure is the length of hypotenuse is always the longest
ye fr
I have sat in an hour and I found your channel last night. I wish I would’ve found it earlier
On the circle question, why did you add 9 on both sides?
he just did that so he can factorize them and to factorize them he needs ax^2 + bx + c format.... so he just introduced the c thats all
Sorry.. I think there is a mistake… it’s is meant to be 400-36= 336. Thanks John
You answered the last question wrong, as at the very end you did 8^2 + 20^2 = AD^2 which in the right triangle would be equivalent to a^2 + c^2 = b^2.
The correct answer would have been 20^2 - 8^2 = AD^2 leaving you with 336 as x.
yeshhhh itsss 336
yes you're right!
At 10:37 AD squared must be equal to 20^2 - 8^2. perpendicular^2 = hyp^2 - base^2. So, x would directly be equal to 400-64 i.e. 336.
Actually, you did it wrong. How did you get AD=8√x, when the question already says AD=√x
The triangles are right
Question No.27 3:13 can easily be solved by a Desmos graphic calculator as it is allowed on Digital Sat.
Heyy can you pls tell me how can we use a graphic calculator
yes plz explain how to use calc with this question
dude, thank u! i owe u my life
3:13
Q27. How about I solve it this way:
x² + 12 = -7x
x² + 7x +12 =0
a=1; b=7, c=12
Sum of solutions = -b/a = -7/1 = -7
On the cologne problem, I was confused as to whether "35% sale" meant 35% discount or sale price is 35% of original price. Wish it was a bit more clearly worded.
for question 1 i factored x^2 + bx + 4 into (x+2)^2, as i know the solution has multiplicity 2. then i just multiplied out and saw b was 4.
nice.
why did you add 9 to both sides on the 4 problem?
End solve is have mistake
Pifagor 400-64=336
x^2=336
x-?
There is a mistake as the AE is hypotenuse meaning the answer is 400-64 not plus 64
I think he did the last question wrong
yes, 20^2=8^2+x, x=336
@@baldaiomir you are right
Exactly, it’s wrong
@@baldaiomir AD is the root of 336.
Me just found this vid 12hrs before the test 💀💀 thanks bro
on question 4 why did you add 9 and where did you get the 9 from
he just did that so he can factorize them and to factorize them he needs ax^2 + bx + c format.... so he just introduced the c thats all

It would be great if you could make a detailed video over exponential growth and decay
Yeah

I guess this will be enough for you to answer questions related to expo growth and decay
Hi John , is suppose to hypotenuse squared =adjacent squared + Opposite squared right ?
just remember c^2 = a^2 + b^2
Hey guys, i thought that we would just have to use the “Pythagoras triple" and get AC to be 5 but not I've seen this, i feel a little confuse.
I think U made a mistake on the triangle, c^2=a^2+b^2 but to find a^2 u added the other two when u had to subtract from the hypothenuse, or am i wrong? But I love ur videos
Thank you so much for making these videos, I have my test tomorrow and these really help me in reviewing all the material.
same, good luck 🤝
@@CristianMartinez-nf2us goodluck dudes, wish me luck too please
hey man ! can we we use the DESOMS calculator for these questions?
im taking sat on aug 26 2023
, could you pls make a video on grammar and writing section.
hey john, in the percent question, why didn't you apply the percent increase/decrease formula?
hey guys, does anyone have any idea why we started by adding 9 on both sides in the 4th question? 8:20
to get the y^2-6 into the (y-k)^2 form, you complete the square on the y^2-6y. (-6/2)^2 = 9, so you add 9 to both sides and then you are able to factor y^2-6y+9 into (y-3)^2. In this question though, its asking for area, so don't bother factoring it, just complete the square and see what you get on the right side, and find the area using the radius.
@JayAhuja014 wouldn't u also add the x's completed square? which is 16 I think
how did you get 20^2 for the hypotenuse at 10:19
He did it wrong dw, your answer is correct
At the second to last question at 8:24 why do you add 9 to both sides like how are you supposed to know what number to add both sides of the equation
U find the answer yet? It didn't make sense to me either. Ig he was completing the square but I don't know where he got 9 from.
X=336 not 464 you used the pythagorean therom wrongly
in example 3 why did you add 3
7:15 YAY! YOU GOT IT CORECT WITHOUT YOUR CALCULATOR!!!
why do you add 9 on equation question?
Im confused by that too
since the 35% of 22 is 7.7 how can 22 be the original price??
because if you give a discount of 35% over 22 that means you're gonna subtract 7.7 from 22, which is 14.30
@@juliafernandes2757 that makes sense thanks
so would i put 336 as the answer for the last one?
I would like to point out that if you watch sports it can actually improve your play style and positioning on the field.
I'm taking august 26 sat and I'm scared :( I have a 1430, but I really want a 1550. For past sat tests I've been using for practice, I've been scoring 1530-1580, so maybe I'm ok. But are August 26 exams historically easier or more difficult? I've never taken one in August, and I'm taking one in a new testing center.
How is your result
yay
i dont think the percent question that you show isnt relatable to math section of math because you say sale what sale is it sale tax or what so it isnt clear that what you are reffering when you write the question please check before publishing
i have a question for the first one
at 2:50 he said b^2-4ac and he plugged in 4 for c but shouldnt the value of c be 5 because c in y=x^2+bx+5 is 5??
see carefully.
the value of c is 5 in the equation of the parabola but, in case of the intersection, it's 4.
Hey John, for the intersection questions wouldn't it be easier to plot the graphs on the given desmos graphing calculator and get the solutions quicker? Which one would you recommend, solving it or plotting?
Solve it
I personally like to plot on the desmos graphing calculator. I just think that it's easy.
That's an option. In general, it's good to know how to do it by hand as the concept extends beyond this question. I'll look in desmos graphing.
@@JohnSAT Alright! Thanks!
Another tip: use vesmos calculator to find the answers
The first question is so easy 💀 I just used discriminant formula and done
whyd he add 9 for the circle equation one?
to complete the sqaure of y part.
Explained here - ruclips.net/video/yzenpEt0bcU/видео.html
Why did u add 9 on both sides on 4th question
that's how 'completing the square' works for circles. To complete the square, you add 9 to the left side. To keep the equation balanced, you have to add it to the other side as well.
Get the PDF and go to the blue link for more detailed explanation. You want to know this.

I have a question regarding the 3rd problem. Why dont we do p(0.35) = 14.30?
Pythagoras :(
Is it true that the Didital SAT on Khan Academy is too easy. And on the test day, there are much harder questions??
Ehhh? Id say some of them are. I did all of them. My math on average was between a 740-800. I got a 750 on the actual test so worst case, take all of them over the course of a month and assume your lowest score is most likely close to your real score excluding outliers. So if you usually et between 700-770 but have one test with a 560, ignore the 560 and assume that your real score is around a 700 give or take 20-30
